Also, when I was taking Driver's Ed back in high school, the teacher told us that if you're going twice as fast, it takes twice the distance to come to a stop.  I told her that it was actually four times.  She got really mad and insisted I was wrong.

Hahaha. My Drivers Ed instructor asked us a joke question on a pop quiz that said "If you are on a flat road in the middle of the day, how far can you see?". Correct answer? Into infinity because once the road curves with the earth you start seeing into space. You just cant make anything out.
