Screw it hallias apparently not happening today and my lab starts in 5 min.

Chaff was running through the jungle, frantic, clutching an axe. He had seen the picture of Peeta up in the sky, and knew his mission was halfway failed. He'd promised Haymitch he'd find Peeta and Katniss and keep them safe until... Well until the end. Or die trying. And instead, Peeta was gone, Wiress was gone, and Katniss, Finnick, Mags, Johanna and Betee had disappeared again. He had to find them. He had nothing left to live for for himself anymore, his family gone, one arm lost in the Games he won. He lived through the whole year just waiting for the new Games so he could drink with Haymitch. The rest of the time he drank alone. He really wanted a drink right now.

 

He paused, slowing down to a jog, squinting into the nearby trees. He'd drifted close to the sector with the big monkeys, and they were sitting in a line at the edge of the sector, staring at him with hungry eyes. He shuddered. "I won't be your dinner today", he muttered. "You sure?"  a voice whispered behind him. Before he could react, the axe was torn from his hand, and he was shoved forward, stumbling, flinging his remaining hand in front of him to catch himself. His hand landed on a monkey's foot. "Oh, no..." he whispered. And then a inhuman hand grabbed his and dragged him into the sector.

 

"Nice", smirked Cashmere. "Now let's go find that flaming girl and her fanclub."

 

 

Xthrax, Chaff, vanilla, has been lynched.
