Um hi dapiano, thanks for the welcome ^^^, I have played before a couple of times, loooong time ago, I thought maybe I would jump in at the deep end? That 'basic' game was a pretty fun read though. I'd still like to sign up I think, if that's ok?

Well its right next to fiddles isn't it, and I haven't finished AMoL yet, so I was just looking around, and sure, a mentor couldn't hurt I guess .. what a mentor do again?

The day had dawned, though it was difficult to see.  The sky overhead was a gloomy gray, the thick clouds shrouding the morning sun.  Men and women shuffled along in the streets, their threadbare clothing doing little to keep out the chill.  Every face was grubby and gaunt, dark bags under the eyes and sunken cheeks.  Even the children were starving. The royalty ate cake while the masses ate nothing.  Bread was scarce, meat scarcer, and full stomachs did not exist for anyone outside of Versailles.

A half-inch of trash lined the cobblestone pathways, crunching as the peasants walked along.  “What have we done to deserve this?” some whispered despairingly.  They watched as family members suffered and died, their anger quickly growing.  Others had always had anger coursing through their veins and began speaking treasonous statements against the crown in private meetings.  Tension escalated daily; the haves celebrating their riches and the have-nots scrambling for food.

Something had to be done.

Something needed to change.

If the Crown would not feed its people, then the people would feed themselves.

Liberté.  Égalité.  Fraternité.
