I don't think it is talking about alcolohol itself that is forbidden but, in this case, the thread had no connection to wheel of time, the Black tower or Dragonmount and was less a "Here is an oosquoi drink that never really existed" and more of a "That one time when I was wasted" which draws away from the purpose of the site and forums.  Just my opinion and may not be what Tina meant but if no alcohol at all were permitted the BotRH forums would be a ghost town .

The decision to enforce this was only made relatively recently, as it wasn't something that cropped up much before. The issue isn't mentioning alcohol so as much as dedicating a thread to something that could be considered the glorification of it.
