Softclaiming is implying or stating that you have a role, but not saying what the role is. Saying "don't lynch me before I reveal" is implying that you have a role without saying what the role is, and keeps you safe from having to ever reveal if the lynch is abandoned as a result.

 

Blind lynching is lynching before the person has had a chance to speak or defend themselves, right? Well you did speak, therefore nothing from that point would have been a blind lynch.

Eh. Pral's lookin for an excuse to point fingers at me, don't care, I have a null read on him. I went through every player's comments in this game one by one. Black hoof and verbal were my strongest scum reads. Of the two, I think verbal is better at manipulating people so I probably read his comments with extra scrutiny I'll admit that. Hoof is scummy, but if he really is mafia, then he is very bad at hiding it. I've got a town read on wombat. I think some of his posts are beyond nitpicking grammar and I disagree with him at times, but I think he's just scumhunting. Even if he dislikes the length of my post. Dunno about Des, I have him pegged as scum adjacent, but I always think he's scummy due to his propensity for flying off the handle. Similarly I have a hard time with Ishy. I have him as town right now, but I trust him less than anyone because I can't get a straight read on him with all the sarcasm. Bfg- town with good scumhunting. Aj- null.

Pretty sure either you or Pralaya is scum. The interaction seems weird based on both your play thus far. If I had to choose....

Well, looks like the jig is up for me. I have no role, I am vanilla, so the town will not lose much with me. I hope my lynch will provide you with information. I don't feel strongly enough about another lynch to vote for someone else, so I will remain unvoted for now.

Its hard to blame those few who have found me suspicious, because I have been acting badly... I can't decide if those attacking me are mafia looking for an easy lynch or town going after someone who is suspicious..... likewise i cannot decide if Des is town for defending me or mafia trying to gain town cred by defending a townie.

Sure, the first one means that you possibly intend to tell your role later, but not necessarily if you are lying, and anyone who asks for your role after saying that you will reveal later is "rolefishing", so there is no obligation for the player to reveal after saying "please let me reveal" because people will ideally stop voting for them, just like if someone had said "dont lynch me i have a role"

Actually, Nolder is at fault. He obliterated a 4 vote train and then set a ridiculous deadline. And you're totally misrepping my actions. I had stuff I needed to do on Tuesday night. I made sure my vote was on a relevant train before I left though. And you called that vote pro-town for multiple reasons in your little catchup, so to paint my actions then as scummy now is a complete 180.

I don't remember the thing youre referring to at the end, but I'll take your word for it. As for your points about it being more Nolder's fault... you might be right. At the same time, you could be trying to paint this situation worse on Nol's part to make yourself look a little better. Might have to go check back again to refresh my memory.

Half the game is either not posting or posting very sparingly.

Granted some of you are in very different timezones.

If this game doesn't see some significant movement by tomorrow morning (my time) a deadline will be set and it will be very short.

Think between 6 and 36 hours short depending on how bored I am. So it is in your best interests to continue talking if not lynching.

This post came a full day before he ever set the short deadline however Wombat.

 

That being said, resetting one of the highest trains and setting a short deadline after, was a pretty dick move. And... wombat you did start your serious scumhunting after this post (after your delta wave meditation session hehe). You also spent a bit of time continuing the stat discussion, but you weren't spamming a ton of fluff or anything. So I rescind my fos on you for that.

 

Ishy and Verb both continued spamming and fluffing after this post however. Still not sure bout Verb's claim, and thinking Ishy might be scum now.

Nice reasoning. I find it interesting you could probably post a 40 page essay about your menu choices at Golden Corral, yet your explanation for my vote is a "feeling" and encompasses all of one line. For you, that's equivalent to a vow of silence and reeks.

 

Why did I get aggro? Two points here. 1- Easy, I get sick of townies who post "meh, vote for me and when I flip you'll be sorry." If you're a townie and you're in real danger you should start kicking and screaming. While a townie flip gives information, this is a game of numbers and you have a responsibility to fight. I've only played once before, but it still makes me really mad that we lost 2 town players day 1 because neither of them (Pral) bothered to show up and say "hey guys, I am town and here's my read on why I'm getting pushed."

 

You might recall that last game I had to claim Cop on Day 2, which sucked. The only reason I even got that close to being lynched was I stayed quiet hoping I wouldn't have to claim, which I knew would save me.

 

Why should you have the market cornered on being loud? You're basing your vote on a 1 game meta when I was the Cop, smart move. 2-Hitting me for being moody the last couple days is a low move dude, since you already know someone tried to mug me. I suspect you only made that comment to piss me off. It worked.
