The sun sets on the island of Catan casting a red glow in the ocean as if the island was drowning in a sea of blood. The villagers are preparing for the solstice festival that will occur in the town square tomorrow, a feast will be thrown in honor of peace among all the peoples of Catan. Despite the garish hue of the sky everyone is in a good mood as they go about their business. No one could have predicted that the only thing they would have to celebrate tomorrow is that they were still alive.

The sun sets on the island of Catan casting a red glow in the ocean as if the island was drowning in a sea of blood.

The sun is red and the sea looks like blood. Blood will be spilled this night.

The villagers are preparing for the solstice festival that will occur in the town square tomorrow, a feast will be thrown in honor of peace among all the peoples of Catan.

Ok, so from this we know that tomorrow is the Solstice. Now I'm guessing that's the Summer Solstice as Winter Solstices generally aren't that fun. Furthermore, the Summer Solstice is the longest day of the year, so nights will be getting longer. The sun is dying. The sun is red with blood. The heavens point to our impending doom and the abrupt end of the "peace among all the peoples of Catan."

Despite the garish hue of the sky everyone is in a good mood as they go about their business. No one could have predicted that the only thing they would have to celebrate tomorrow is that they were still alive.

The settlers are in a great mood. That's good. No sense letting dark portents and certain death ruin a good party.

As for no one being able to predict what's going to happen, I have clearly demonstrated this is false by doing just that. But I used the very information that Nolder put in this post. Had he not spoken those words, he would not have been false. A self-dooming prophecy if you will. But what Mod would speak a self-dooming prophecy? Only a bastard mod.

The Heavens are against us.

The Mod is against us.

We are already dead.

Arise, arise, Settlers of Catan!

Fell deeds awake, fire and slaughter!

spear shall be shaken, shield be splintered,

a sword-day, a red day, ere the sun rises!

Forth Townlingas!

Winter solstices were pretty fun tho, from what I remember of my pagan lives. They had to be, they helped villagers deal with the depression of winter. Or seasonal depression disorder, if you wanna be more accurate.

Equinox parties tho, THAT'S where it was at! The connection between crops and fertility deities made for some FUN TIMES, believe you me!

  :nudge: :nudge: say no more!
