The passengers knew there were murderers among them...but who? How many? They resorted to trusting no one but themselves, each suspicious of everyone. They gathered for dinner as they did each night. Wait, what was that BG said? Something about being innocent. It was time to see if he was telling the truth. After dinner they went decided to get a drink. Looking around they realized BG was just entering the room...why was he late? He said it was because he had put something away in his room. "A weapon perhaps?" accused one passenger. They all picked up on that line of thinking and grabbed BG. They grilled him for hours, not satisfied with the results they decided he didn't need to live. They stabbed him with a chair they broke.

I have never heard of an inquisitor before. This is what the ms wiki says:

 

The Inquisitor is a self-aligned role with aspects of both the Serial Killer and the Cult Leader. Its Night Action is simply its factional kill (like a Serial Killer); however, if for some reason the Inquisitor's victim survives the kill, the victim will instead have its alignment changed to match that of the Inquisitor. In this sense, it is a Serial Killer that has a chance to pick up allies.

The existence of an Inquisitor usually suggests that there are multiple protective abilities in play during the game so as to allow the possibility of recruitments.

As always, care should be taken with recruitment, as Inquisitor is generally able to recruit Anti-Town players and recruited players keep their former abilities. For more information, see Cult. The recruited players do not gain access to the factional kill if the Inquisitor dies.

 

Use and Power

Inquisitor is obviously stronger than a standard Serial Killer, and thus Inquisitor does not generally need additional buffs via role modifiers.

One side note is that if the Inquisitor dies, the rest of the cult can be wiped out by simply lynching all players who were protected over the course of the game. In fact, just seeing any Inquisitor-aligned player dying can cause this effect. Thus, it is very much to the Inquisitor's advantage to try to keep everyone in its faction alive

Probably thtat he had beem recruited. Oh this is bad. It probably means RTE was recruited last night. And it means I might get recruited this night if you protect me, Tina.

I have played with cult, but never Inquistor before. No wonder BG knew about recruitment .

 

Yeah, I'd say it means he was recruited at some point. Otherwise would probably just say Inquisitor.

 

Mish, I see what you're saying, but I don't see any way around still protecting you.

Thinking about it, that might actually be best though.  Because if you survive then we'll have the WIFOM of were you recruited and it would waste a bunch of time.

No, of course I don't want you recruited.  But I don't want to leave you unnecessarily open for an NK either.  

 

Because if I'm protected, and they try to NK me, I'll be recruited, if I understand the text abotu the inqusutor. So it's better for town if Tina saves her shot, and I die.

 

If there is no NK, then either I or Tina have most problably been recruited. I won't lie; if they recruit me, I'm gonna tell you. I'm not gonna let them use me to win, even if it'll mean I personally will loose this game.
