Rand's defending EP makes me uncomfortable.

 

A certain amount of chaos is inevitable whether EP is town or mafia, just by virtue of his normal EP-ness (yes, yes, I am aware what that sounds like.  *snerk*)

 

It normally makes very little difference to town's success if he's taken out early, either because he's stirred up enough people to want to lynch him, or if whatever crazy plan he's concocted makes the mafia decide to kill him.  The fact that Rand is trying to defend him at all pings, as if he perhaps knows something about how EP will flip.

 

When Ithi is town her instincts are often frighteningly good.  I'm not all that interested in lynching her, especially with her claim out there.  I think it'll be more useful to keep her alive.

 

Hallia has me concerned.

I guess then she is town, because some people have already started complaining about there not being enough time to consolidate on a lynch. You would think that having a couple of votes on Hallia would prove enough reason to lynch her and avoid a random or some other surprise DPR might have thought of.

My point wasn't to explain EP's play style.  My point was that Rand defending EP pings.

The lack of logic in these statements astounds me...

 

"If there is no consolidation on Hallia she is scum", News flash, the town has voting majority meaning the scum are the minority atm which means your statement cloud is invalid. It's a scare tactic to push a vote. I don't like Hallia's play either but I don't think she is mafia at this time.

 

Also it says again in the rules that actions can be used any time within each hour Hallia that is 3 seperate things that have been in the rules that you have disregarded.

EP is always anti-town. His meta itself is anti-town. I was hoping he would have settled down by now but if anything he seems to have gotten worse. You need to start policy lynching him.

I wouldn't say always, its just that his play can get out of hand. And we shouldn't just policy lynch him, probability and meta says that he is town, odds aren't for us. Worst case scenario, we don't listen to him and he still improves our odds. Sad that you didn't or wouldn't think of this Womby, makes me a little suspicious.

What in the world makes you think that's the worst case scenario?

 

No, I mean that if EP is not helping town so much that its a worst case scenario, then we can literally ignore him, and if he was still town, he would still help us by giving us numbers.  Lynching him reduces our numbers and wastes a lynch if he's town, which I think he is.

 

With less than 24 hours to go, a weekend deadline, and nobody anywhere near a lynch, I think we need to start consolidating votes. 

So eager to consolidate already?  Seems like a chance to try and get some weak votes and a bad lynch in.  If Lily is mafia, then I think that all the big trains right now are town, namely Ithi.  In fact, if we lynch Ithi and she turns out town as she is the biggest train right now, I will look harder at Lily and Hallia.

 

 

No.  Worst case scenario is that EP is mafia and that we ignore him because of his meta.

 

Slightly better but still bad case scenario is that he is town and people actually pay attention to him, thereby distracting themselves from actual scumhunting.

 

Second best case scenario is that EP is town and everyone ignores him.  This is actually a pretty rosy scenario imo.  It is hard for most players to ignore someone like EP.  Also, doing so risks the worst case scenario.

 

Best case scenario is that EP is mafia and we lynch him immediately.

I actually have to agree with this statement, especially since the train on Ithi is dieing.

Halley is town, playing too erratically and frivolously to be scum. It may make her a bit less useful but it doesn't make her mafia.

I have no bad tells from red yet but her recent WOT on page 23 was fairly stupid. 25% is the standard for mafia Red, so to call that craptastic is a bit odd, especially from someone go has modded.
