Four (4)

With a number 4 destiny number, your mission in life is to build something of lasting value. Your purpose is to be practical and do the hard work, all the while keeping order and convention so that security is assured. The field of opportunity is where you learn to express traditional values, and being steadfast and stable will give you great opportunity to move toward your destiny. Even if you are stubborn or suspicious, you are still called to embrace your destiny. You're destined for managing and organizing. Create the foundation and build on it.

Six (6)

Some traits of a 6 personality number: gracious host or hostess, perfectionist and idealist, protective, reliable, accepts more than their share of responsibility, a great problem solver, counsels and advises others, has a motherly approach to situations, has an artistic flair and loves to make things pretty, has an excellent eye for color, prefers comfortable clothes that are pleasing to the eye, domestic, needs to be appreciated, a natural-born teacher, sympathetic and inspires confidence, and romantic.

Five (5)

First and foremost in the heart of a 5 soul number is the desire to be free from restrictions, followed closely by a passion for change and travel. People with 5 soul numbers can't stand to feel trapped-- or bored with routine. They love to experience the variety and stimulation that life has to offer. In matters of the heart, the 5 soul number is ruled by 3 letters-- S, E, and X-- and is s-ensual, e-xquisite, and x-traordinary. Rebellikous and sensual by nature, the 5 soul number is ruled by the sexual drive in matters of the heart (if this energy isn't repressed by other numbers or outside circumstances). The 5 is raunchy, and ready to risk-- unless repressed. Most of all, the 5 craves variety.

Five (5)

You'll have many forks along your path, and you'll welcome each change as a new opportunity with unknown results. With a 5 life path number, in fact, change is the name of the game, and once you've learned this lesson, you'll move on to the next phase-- championing freedom. You're a born progressive-- forward thinking, liberal, super-resourceful-- and because of those things, you're also a dilettante, equally good at many different trades. If you've got a 5 life path number, you're probably good at sales, marketing, or promotion of any kind, and believe in freedom in all things-- whether it's of speech, movement, or moving to the beat of different drummer. The career/vocation options best for you are working with the public, new-trend companies, communications, advertising, publicity, or sales-- any kind of work, in other words, that calls for energizing power rather than routine. You'll also do well as a detective-- or as a writer of mysteries! In addition, travel is well suited to you. The symbol of the number five is the pentagram, such as in the five-pointed star. The 5 also is symbolically represented by the hand, with its five fingers. The 5 is also the symbol for humanity, as there are five human senses, and, in fact, when a human figure is stretched out, a line joining the head to the arms and legs forms a pentagram. The 5 is the number of chance and change, and it rules the physical and any kind of movement. This number is almost always linked with sensuality and the five senses, and so is about immersing oneself in the pleasures of the physical world as a means of exploration, discovery, and free will. The lesson that goes with this meaning is to not lose oneself overindulging in these pleasure. The 5 seeks freedom and adventure, craving to know what's out there, who's got it, and who doesn't, and so, of course, the 5 is also the number of the progressive minded.

Nine (9)

With a 9 Maturity Number, you can expect that life won't always be easy. that's because you're learning to give up the physical world for the spiritual one, and you'll have to learn to let go of loving people in order to love humanity. At the same time, things will come easily to you, so you may mistakenly believe your gifts are meant to be used to attain the easy life, when in reality, they're given so that you can master this plane and move on. Your true self is both compassionate and humanitarian, but for you to be at your best, you must practice these qualities on an impersonal level. Your love of humanity can be a light for the world, but there is the danger of using it from personal gain, which can truly bring destruction to your own life-- and the lives of those around you. The other danger is to ignore your sense of service. Your greatest joy is found in the true universal love, because with this number of reward, the greatest good will come from the greatest giving. The Maturity Number 9 will learn to let go of self in order to serve others, as well as to let go of attachments to outcome. You will learn to live in the flow. Surrender and release are the operative words at this time of life. Kind and generous you'll need to beware of taking on too much responsibility, or trying to be all things to all people. Through your disappointments, you'll learn to help others without losing yourself. In your elder years, you can expect to be more involved in the pursuit of the healing arts, metaphysics, the performing arts, writing, teaching, or philanthropic activities, if not in the humanistic organizations that benefit large numbers of people. You have a compassionate heart and are willing to give your love to the sensitive, healing foundations of humanity.

Tarot Card: The Hierophant-- rebelling against the status quo.

Even if you are stubborn or suspicious, you are still called to embrace your destiny. You're destined for managing and organizing. Create the foundation and build on it.

One (1)

Some traits of personality number 1: appears to be dominant and forceful, creative, appears confident and self-reliant, courageous, comfortable standing out in a crowd, appears to need no one, projects a stylish (professional image), loves to wear designer clothes but prefers to create their own fashion statement, novel attire (novel ideas), tends to wear bright colors (even loud, bold patterns).

Three (3)

The heart's desire of the 3 is to make people happy, to laugh, to create enthusiasm, and to encourage all to reach for their best. The 3 soul loves life! People with 3 soul numbers love to use their creative talents, whether to write, design, dance, decorate, or sing their hearts out. In matters of the heart, a 3 soul number can be a flirt. This person may change their mind often, but let's not call it fickle-- 3 soul numbers just want to have fun. In fact, you may find the 3 soul number tripping over their enthusiasm. The 3 soul number will romance your socks off.

Three (3)

Your path will entice you to be both creative and spontaneous, to live your life with joy and imagination. You'll learn the benefits of optimism and enthusiasm, and how to express your emotions and your exuberance. Once you've mastered these concepts, you'll move on to the next phase of the 3 Life Path-- inspiring others. You're a born communicator, and your wit and light-heartedness will help others see the joy in any situation. People with 3 Life Path Numbers are artistic, creative, and articulate, painting pictures with their words that spark the imagination and understanding of those lucky enough to hear them. With a 3 Life Path, your inspiration to others lies in the way you speak and frame things, as well as your creative approach to life, because bringing a creative flair to each task is your trademark. What are your career/vocation options? With your 3 Life Path Number, you'll do well in anything artistic, be it writing, speaking, designing, illustrating, dancing, or acting. You'd make an excellent cheerleading coach (or any kind of coach), where you can encourage and motivate. You'll also do well in any job where feeling and emotions are valued financially, such as public relations or customer service. The number 3's symbol is the triangle. It represents the creative principle, as well as a variety of trinities, such as (past, present, and future), (mother, father, and child), and (birth, life, and death). As it is with all the numbers, life with the 3 can bring both blessings and challenges. The 3 is known for its tendency toward faddishness and its intoxicating love of luxury. It may be less well-known for its self-centeredness and laziness. Three is a happy spirit, blessed with humor, optimism, and enthusiasm for life. It is lucky in both money and opportunity; so lucky, in fact, that it takes its luck for granted. The 3 will never wonder where its next meal, next dollar, or next job is coming from. When it needs something, it will be there. Blessed with an uncanny knack for being in the right place at the right time, luck favors the 3 in everything.

Seven (7)

With a 7 maturity number, you can expect to live your life in your own unique way. Solitary and analytical, you truly do travel to the beat of a different drummer and are at your best when left to your own devices. Your true self values solitude and specialization, and if you're left to your own devices, you'll find an area in which you can shine. Getting to the truth of a matter is what excites you-- although you won't seem excited to others. Wasting time is a waste of time to you, and you won't be caught doing anything frivolous or fun. Seeking the truth, be it spiritual, scientific, or philosophical, is what suits you best. Maturity number 7s are often solitary, and may seem aloof or reserved to others. Sometimes unmarried, because expressing love isn't what they're good at, people with 7 maturity numbers nonetheless demand and appreciate the best life has to offer. These people enjoy the finer things in life, often preferring antiques and quality. At the same time, when working at their best, 7 maturity number people may become well-known for their discovery of something new, because following their hunches is what this number's all about. In your elder years, you can expect to pursue spiritual and philosophical interests, moving farther into the interior landscape of your own world. Long hours of contemplation, writing, and reading will be the normal lifestyle for this maturity number. Solitary, though not alone, 7 maturity numbers will find people seeking them out for their insightful wisdom.

The field of opportunity is where you learn to express generosity, and giving comfort to others will give you great opportunity to move toward your destiny. Even if you are codependent or tend to martyr yourself, you are still called to embrace your destiny. You're destined for nurturing and beautifying. Love with balance.

Five (5)

Traits: sexually attractive, sparkling (witty), likes change and variety, freedom of choice is the number one priority, dresses fashionably, can wear bright and flashy colors, outgoing and exuberant, magnetic personality, youthful in appearance, can live completely in the moment, enjoys all of the five senses, likes movement, likes to talk, and progressive thinker.

One (1)

A soul number 1 wants to lead most of all, and may want control over others as well. people with 1 soul numbers don't like taking orders or being subordinate, and they're often headstrong, willful, ambitious, and independent. not surprisingly, the number 1 soul number stays away from teams, committees, and mediocrity. In matters of the heart, romance is the name of the game-- when the object of the 1 soul number lives up to their expectations. These people expect their partners to be as charming, clever, and independent as they are, so they won't always want to own up to their romantic sides. In fact, they may sometimes seem cold and distant-- but it's only because they're protecting themselves. It is not unusual to find 1 souls seeking singular pursuits; the 1 often prefers to be or work alone rather than suffer "fools."

Seven (7)

Your path will lead you to study, test, and analyze everything, because with a 7 life path number, you can't be satisfied with anything at face value. You'll seek the meaning of existence, and will always be exploring mysteries and the unexplainable to find meaning for you life. Once you've learned this lesson, you'll move on to the next phase--sharing your wisdom of the spirit with others. You're a born seeker-- spiritual, philosophical, scientific, or technological-- and, because of your solitary exploration of the unknown, others will seek you out for your wisdom. People with 7 life path numbers are often teachers or professors, specializing in something quite specific, and this specialization makes them the obvious choice for answers when others need them. With your 7 life path number your career/vocation options could include computer programmer, technological specialist, or working at any job that calls for analysis, deductive reasoning, scientific knowledge, or technical ability. Bookkeeping and accounting may hold interest as well, although we traditionally find the 4 or 2 doing these jobs. In addition, any field where you'll be allowed to study, contemplate, or commune with the higher forces, such as law or teaching, or being a spiritual leader, monk, or nun, will also suit you well. The sacred symbols of the 7 are the seven-branched Tree of Life, the seven chakras, the ziggurat to Heaven with its seven steps, and the triangle above the square that represents cyclic time in the cosmos and the life of man. This is also the symbol of the Masonic apron. In addition, the 7 is represented by yet another star: the seven-pointed star. The seven is often associated with magical powers, perhaps because it's a number that deals with all things deeply, as opposed to the number , which deals with things generally. The 7 is the summoning to move inward and discover the universal laws of nature and the connection to the mysteries of life.

Four (4)

With a 4 maturity number, you can expect the desire to make dreams practical, and in your younger years, you'll learn the value of discipline and hard work. As you mature, you'll make sure to create opportunities for yourself to contribute to something lasting. Your 4 maturity number indicates that you're a natural organizer, able to build, plan, and order things, and bring ideas into form-- always with a backup plan, of course. Your true self has a talent for organizing, and you're steadfast, honorable, straight, and true. Permanency is your byword, and you have both high standards and expectations, as well as the responsibility and fortitude to see things through to their conclusion. In addition, there can be a tendency toward self-righteousness, or worse, to not take responsibility for their mistakes; but if a 4 maturity number holds true to their strong principles, they are bound to succeed. Hard working, never idle, and never one to waste time or money, a 4 maturity number person is reliable and down-to-earth. In your elder years you can expect to build something of lasting value. Your health will be of great interest, and you will find practical, economical ways to organize around your health needs.

With a number 2 destiny number, your mission in life is to create harmony. Your purpose is to find balance, seek cooperation, and be the patient team player-- all to develop your sense of relationship. The field of opportunity is where you learn gentleness and to be emotionally receptive, and being both adaptable and persuasive will give you greater opportunity to move toward your destiny. Even if you are passive or indecisive, you are still called to embrace your destiny. You're destined for peacemaking. Go forth and share it.

Nine (9)

Your path will lead you to understand the interconnectedness of all things. It's a path of universal love that learns compassion and tolerance. Once you've learned this lesson, you'll move on the next phase-- tolerance for all, and the importance of caring for each other. You're a born healer, and your healing may take the form of writing, composing, painting, or sculpting-- reaching others by truly connecting to them, in other words. With a 9 Life Path Number, you'll also be learning how to let go, to surrender the self for the greater good. People with 9 life path numbers truly understand the Golden Rule-- and don't understand why others don't. The career/vocation options suited to the 9 life path include international business, the arts (including the stage, literature, filmmaking, dance, sculpting, pottery, painting, writing, and arts administration), education, and health. In addition, any line of work that is designed to help, heal, or humanize belongs to this humanitarian number. There are 2 symbols for the number 9: 3 triangles, or the Scepter and the Orb. The 9 is also believed to be the sacred number of the pyramids.

Two (2)

With a 2 maturity number, you can expect to get others to help you, because you'll naturally attract those who will want to support you. You may have trouble with relationships early in life until you learn that helpfulness is the name of the game, both in giving and receiving. Your true self is a peacemaker to the core, and you will do whatever is necessary to ensure harmony in both your surroundings and relationships, although you will fight for your peace if you're pushed too far. Naturally sensitive, you have inherent artistic ability, be it in music, painting, writing, or dancing, which if ignored, may cause you regret as you get older. Maturity number 2s find happiness through ensuring harmony all around them, which they accomplish by expressing the beauty, tenderness, sincerity  and spirituality of their nature. Often psychic, always intuitive, maturity number 2s must guard against self-consciousness, which comes as a result of intuiting (sometimes incorrectly) the opinions of others. Cooperation is the byword of the 2 maturity numbers, and they long for the same sincerity and sympathy of others than they give to them. Your elder years will find you in a relationship, not alone, and very possibly living from a place of true inner peace.

Tarot Card:  The World-- the Major Arcana card that completes the journey, promising universal healing and forgiveness.

Flowers: Michaelmas daisy for farewell, magnolia for grief, red poppy for consolation, rosemary for remembrance, woodbine for fraternal love.

With a number 1 destiny number, your mission in life is to develop the self and to become a leader. Your purpose in life is to be courageous, take the initiative, be independent, original, innovative, and take charge-- all to develop your sense of self, your will, and your determination. The field of opportunity is where you learn to stand alone, think for yourself, and individualize your character. New ideas, new things, and unique activities give great opportunity for you to move toward your destiny. Even if you lack confidence or are holding back, you are still called to embrace your destiny. You are destined for leadership. Be it and teach it.

Three (3)

Some traits of personality number 3: looks like fun (and they are), magnetic personality, friendly and animated, life of the party, great talker, entertaining and charming, extroverted and sociable, attractive physical appearance, optimistic outlook, contagiously enthusiastic, witty and excellent with words, has a great sense of humor, and looks great in most colors and styles.

Eight (8)

This soul number wants to be the boss, or at the least to have power of some kind in the world. It's hard for people with 8 soul numbers to understand the emotions of others, and they prefer to stick to business rather than messy emotional affairs. In these heart of hearts, 8 soul numbers want to feel important-- not just at home, but more important, in what they perceive to be the real world. In matters of the heart, don't go getting fancy notions in your head of a romantic little dinner for two in some cozy corner of the restraunt if you're dealing with an 8 soul number. More often than not, such a dinner would be interrupted with a business call, which the 8 will take, and the closest to intimacy you'll get is to have a detailed conversation about the latest transaction. This soul number will look for a strong, capable (and yes, you'd better be organized) mate who's equal to his or her ambitions. In a rare moment, you may enjoy the warm, loving nature 8 soul numbers possess-- when they can let their guards down-- but for the most part, they're just too busy for romance.

Five (5)

Six (6)

With a 6 Maturity Number, you can expect the welfare of others-- all others-- to be of utmost importance. This is the number of the humanitarian and the giver, and with your strong principles about fairness, goodness, and family values, you'll shine when you learn the balance between giving and receiving. Your true self loves both things of beauty and the home, so your home is quite literally your haven, your nest. You're a nurturer and a giver, and your kitchen is often the center of activity. You need to beware of giving too much, as well of as clinging to your ideals, especially when it comes to your idea of the perfect mate. Generous and helpful, though, you'll never stop giving no matter how many problems are put on your plate. Maturity Number 6s are often wealthy through marriage or inheritance and love to surround themselves with beautiful and comfortable things. Often devotees, they must take care to not become zealots; but at the same time they are unhappy if they're not serving others. At their best, they'll share what they have with the world, because when they're helping humanity, they're truly happy. With a maturity number 6, you can expect to have a good earning capacity because you have a natural financial attraction. In your elder years you will find yourself surrounded by your family, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Contentment and harmony should be yours all the days of your life.

Your path will take you down the road to independence, and you'll learn the benefits of independence, of standing on your own two feet, standing alone when necessary, and becoming a strong individual. Once these traits have been honed, you move to the next level of the 1 life path-- leadership. You're a born leader and your path in life will present you with many opportunities to demonstrate your ability. You have executive and administrative capability, although it may be latent in developing. Your strong pioneering spirit, courage, and determination will serve you well along this road. What are your career/vocation options if you've got a 1 life path? Any situation that allows you to utilize your unique ideas and pioneer spirit will be a career bonanza. Look for a field where you can use your quick mental agility, such as business, health, the entertainment industry, government, or even a bookstore. The symbol of the 1 is a perpendicular line, standing alone, which signifies truth and separateness. It's said that Pythagoras considered the 1 to be the creative power, and the line between heaven and Earth.

Tarot Cards: The Magician, the Aces

Two (2)

With a number 2 destiny number, your mission in life is to create harmony. Your purpose is to find balance, seek cooperation, and be the patient team player-- all to develop your sense of relationship. The field of opportunity is where you learn gentleness and to be emotionally receptive, and being both adaptable and persuasive will give you greater opportunity to move toward your destiny. Even if you are passive or indecisive, you are still called to embrace your destiny. You're destined for peacemaking. Go forth and share it.

Eight (8)

Your path will lead you to work out the difference between money and the real value of life. It's a path of mastery, where you must learn what to do with your natural power and authority. This is not an easy path (in fact, it's not considered a lucky one), but once you've learned its lesson, you'll move on to the next phase-- being in charge. You're born a boss, born to be involved in business or a large organization. People with 8 life path numbers know that it's lonely at the top, but their power and authority come naturally to them, so others naturally look to them when a decision needs to be made. The reward for you, if you've got an 8 life path number, won't necessarily be financial but may come in terms of accomplishment and yes, legacy. What are your career/vocation options? Any field where you can be in charge, be it C.E.O., C.F.O., chief administrator, financial advisor, real estate broker, or even athletic director, is perfect for the 8 life path-- the person with authority. You'd make an excellent choice for a judge, head of hospital, president of the bank-- or any job where you can utilize your superior skill of good judgment. In addition, all business-related work is ideal for this number, because the business environment is a place where you can organize and run things with authority. The figure 8, the symbol for the number 8, is believed to represent the joining of the two spheres, heaven and Earth. The 8 is also represented by the double square (as in two 4s) and the infinity sign, which is the 8 lying on its side.

One (1)

With a maturity number 1, you can expect to learn leadership early in life. Your best results will come from beginning new things, and your strong opinions and ambition will lead you to positions of authority, although you should be careful to temper your tendency to be bossy and domineering. With your good memory and excellent power of concentration, you're a natural for taking over what needs to be done, and doing it. Your true self naturally attracts unusual people and experiences that are different in some way. You have a broad vision and do things in a big way, and, because you like to do what you're thinking, you're seldom without something to do. The 1 maturity number can be set in his or her ways. That's because the 1 maturity numbers are usually a stickler about one thing. Be it their taste in paintings or their approach to raising children, there's usually a good deal of discipline and order evident, because while the 1 maturity numbers are not necessarily conventional, they will think that their ways are the best ways-- and will expect all others to follow suit. Maturity number 1s are not always as strong as they think when it comes to their health, but they do recover quickly, because being active is what they live for. Anywhere originality and dynamism are required are places you'll find 1 maturity number people living up to their potential. Your elder years will give you an opportunity to be truly independent and self-reliant.

Tarot Card: Strength-- the strength to harness the elements of power for self-mastery.

Flowers: Hollyhock for ambition, camellia for excellence and mastery.

I'm tempted to ask with the Yiddish spelling but I don't think you have those numerology links.

apparently, my mom must have lied about my birthday and just made up some random English name...

but really, what I want to know, is what numbers to use for lotto?

okay... Panchi, your personal year is an 8...

This is a year to learn about your own power, to deal with authority issues, and to become the boss, because people will look to you this year for your executive ability or to act as an authority in some respect. This is the year where you'll be challenged to take the lead, to stand up as an authority, and in that way to begin to empower yourself with your full sense of power. The 8 year means it's time for you to be thrust into the role of the leader, boss, or authority and to tend to business. Use this year to administrate something-- the family estate, the school auction, or the company's overseas spring tour. More than any other year, this is the time to deal with the energy of power, money, and success, and to achieve something. If you don't make the most of this year, it will be another nine years before you get an 8 year again...

okay... so first things first, I have a book that taught me how to do this, so I shall do my best to teach you all....

there are 5 major numbers... your destiny number, your soul number, personality number, life path number, and your maturity number...

the easiest to figure out is your life path number because you take your birth date such as mine is 9/13/1997, so you add up the numbers 9+1+3+1+9+9+7=39... then you have to simplify the number because you can only have a number 1-9, so you add 3+9 and get 12 (still over the 9 limit), so you have to add again 1+2=3... so that is my life path number

easy enough??

That was really interesting Time, thank you!

Can I have my year number too?

And I will be following along your lessons as well!

Elaevia's Personal Year number: 5

This is the year of personal transition, as opposed to the 9 year, when you'll be working on transformation. The 5 is a time of change-- change in attitude, change of work, residence, change of direction. Travel is good during this year, and you may do a lot of it. In addition, because the 5 is curious, you may find yourself delving into metaphysics, taking classes, or investigating some new subject. The 5 year means it's time for you to take some risks. Use this year to make big changes in your life. More than any other year, this is the time to move, change jobs or careers, or even try unconventional things you haven't tried before. It's time to be curious, and if you don't take time to investigate new things that interest you this year, it will be another nine years before you can...

That is just a bit scary, as we have some changes and risks planned already for this year.

Things that will involve change of job, new training and travel.

Oooooo. Gives me goosebumps!
