Snow's defense of Tiink is quite odd. He points out there is inconsistency in what Tiink is trying to use to say it is nothing. But after saying all that he comes back with a "town read".

 

 I think the fact that he doesn't acknowledge the discrepancy with Tiink in the other game that had a discussion about the D1 pass. To sluff that off as it didn't matter cause he was Mafia then would be poor play as mafia because mafia want to use anything possible to mislead the town and lynch townies. At the worst it could be used as a distraction.

Speaking of committing Dap, nice vote. I think Time and Hal are just kind of hanging back because they are new. And Hal is right, most of the cases are a bit repetitive but at the same time those with cases against them continue to dig their own graves. If you're convinced someone is scum then vote already. The only reason to give anyone a free pass on D1 is if you know that they're not the threat, and the only way to know that is to be the threat yourself. How is that not blatantly obvious?

 

 

Dude, a D1 pass is to not scare new players away from the game; give them a chance to learn! Because if not it would become almost a standard to lynch first time players D1 because they're easy to push into a corner, and then we'd never get new players at all. FoS on you for that.

I know what the flip it is, but you do it by giving them the benefit of the doubt in their argument and acknowledging their scummy play but deciding to not look as much into it as you would an experienced player. Not by standing up and announcing that you're free to do whatever you want since you're a newb. That's abusing your holy "Day 1 get out of jail free" card and using it as a supposedly legit reason for not voting a teammate. 

 

 

It seems to me that he started out with the whole D1 thing, then when people called him on it he backpedaled and tried to change the subject to Mish, when he followed this with a vote on her.

The only real way to find out for sure is his coroner report. And if he flips town, well, we go back to the drawing board and start elsewhere. But I don't think that'll happen. Tiink is scum.

 

I'm simply active because I have been eager to start playing, plus I feel Tiink has made it easy for me. I'm not afraid to go after someone, I've got nothing to lose. You and I have talked about Mafia before, and I've done my fair share of studying

The only thing that I can see that would ping here is me appearing to 'buddy up' to Turin, as Tiink's post was directed at this post of Turin's:

you were stating a fact though, not an opinion... how is stating facts buddying up?? in my mind it's not logical to say that it's buddying up when you're stating a fact instead of an opinion...

(which, also this strikes me as odd now that I look at it. Day 1 pass has never covered joke votes. Joke votes are all about pressure, and applying pressure D1 is fine. It's just that lynches are held off. Heck, I'd say pressure is encouraged on Day 1. Helps new people see what they could be doing wrong. But, that's for another thread (and I think we really should have one about the whole concept of the Day 1 'free pass')).

 

Hardly buddying here, more so just making a statement (and, as stated elsewhere, an excuse to use a fancy word ). I suppose one could go to the extent of calling it defending Turin.

However, if I was 'defending' Turin, he would be guilty of the exact same in replying to my post. In fact, twice as guilty as he would be guilty of hypocrisy.

I don't know, that's the only thing that I can read from myself that he would ping on, and it pings me that he would do such in such a matter.

I've probably got something wrong here, so I'd like a bit more explanation for your post there.

This, gut strikes me as off. Just how it's phrased, it strikes me as off. Lol, it's hard to explain gut feelings. Best way to put it is as if he's placing himself 'above' the game? Again, hard to explain.

It's been sketchy, but it's Tiink. He isn't usually like this, especially day one. I dunno it's making me nervous

If he flips town we don't go back to the drawing board, we can learn form the interactions he has made, especially with snow. So not back to the start
