I stated my honest thoughts and I stand by them. I do think it's unfair to lynch a replacement the first day, no matter what the person before them did, unless you have a cop viewing on them. Simply because different players have different playstyles. So I didn't defend Lenlo, but stated a general view I have.

But you say that this was something you saw now, that you knew that Lenlo was scum. So I'm still curious as to what your reason for trying to get rid of me in the first place was. If the only reason is that I found some of your actions suspicious, while others did not, then by that same logic, then you are scum. Now you've said you're town and I believe you, so I'm not trying to cast suspicion on you; just point out the faults in your logic.

And I highly dislike that you take this up at night.

You asked me why I tried to kill you so I thought I would give you an answer. In this reply you don´t bring up the fact that you not only tried to protect Lenlo but also went after TB and Basel all day.

But I have to say I´m not really sure about you.

Well Mish did defend Lenlo in a roundabout way, even if it was under the pretext of fairness. So she is def worth looking at tomorrow. As for what she is saying, it is unfair in a sense that someone should be killed so quickly after replacing in, but the fact that it is unfair doesn't mean we shouldn't do it. If anything, it will spare the replacement from having to catch up all the way in the thread. I think too many mods try to cater to replacements a bit too much, yes it's fair to try and wipe the slate with them, but this can also end up letting a scum off the hook for a while.

The fact is, asking for a replacement when you're mafia because of anything other than you simply don't have time for it is just a really really bad move imo. The reason Kae gave for leaving- that she was sick of getting killed and fos'd, is kind of bs since she did turn out to be scum. So even if we had just lynched Lenlo right after he replaced in, which I would have preferred honestly, it wouldn't have been our fault that Lenlo had such a short time to play the game, it would have been Kae's fault.

Fairness in mafia is like raisins in cornbread. Just doesn't go with it. Imo, mods should be harder on players who ask for replacements, especially if it's for a somewhat silly reason. Not trying to pick on Kae either, EP did the same thing and emo ragequit out of a game, and JLM came in and got speedlynched, and the same thing happened with Red a while back (cept I replaced in for her replacement, and we won :biggrin:). In each of those circumstances the person was mafia, and got frustrated that they were being fos'd so ducked out on their team. Peeps just need to put on their big boy pants and accept their fate imo, and use the quick exit from a game as motivation and experience to use the next time they are mafia

I agree about Kae. I voted her because she seemed scummy not because she is an easy lynch. Didn´t even know she is considered an easy lynch. But let´s leave that until after the game.

Oh and Happy Thanksgiving btw!

:tongue:

If I feel like it, I might do a reread later on, but I have a feeling that with Thanksgiving and the upcoming weekend the game will be pretty slow, so there will be plenty of time for that. But at the moment, Darthe, Rand, and Mish are the standouts for me. Def don't think Peace was using a gambit, it would have been unnecessary since the mafia team already had a big lead, and I got a town read on Tina and her claim seems okay for now (don't think she should shoot, if she misses that would be very bad for town. TG's claim buys him some time, but if the mafia really do have a RB'er, and he is still alive a couple of nights from now, that won't look good on him.

Don´t like this post at all. Of course you have to say that Darthe, Rand and Mish stands out. They are the only ones that haven´t claimed a power role. Then you try to discredit the rest of us by sowing a seed that there might be gambits. Way to go Des. I might have found my victim for the night. I haven´t sent in my kill yet but will do this evening.

Well then you'll be killing a townie Tina. Don't lose the game for town because you can't read me. I stated that it would be EXTREMELY unlikely that Peace was doing a gambit, and as for TG I would let him slide on his claim but overall his play pinged more than most to me this game. And it's not my fault pretty much all the town power roles claimed.

Also, and I kinda wish I didn't have to tell you this, but in situations where town is in a tough spot because of outed power roles, I try to help wifom the mafia team when possible. As in, make it seem like they could still get someone who claimed Doc lynched still, which would hopefully have them choose someone else for the NK.

Anyways, I will be really disappointed in you if you submit a NK on ANYONE tonight. It's simple numbers; no matter how confident you might feel about someone, you could be wrong (as in this case in which you're wrong about me), and you will bring town to lylo that much quicker.

And for the record, the only reason I even threw out the remote possibility of a gambit involving Peace is my respect for his gameplay. I've seen him pull off less likely gambits that almost succeeded. He's good at looking townie even when mafia.

Just the fact that you mention a possible gambit or that you might doubt TG is scummy. You are posting it just so you can come back to it later on when you need to lynch townies. "Oh, I might have been right about a possible gambit after all. I thought it was unlikely but now I´m not so sure any more. "

I have already sent in my kill.

Yeah gj screwing the pooch on that one Tina. You'll be yet more proof of how a reckless vig can hurt town more than help it. Once again, gj.

:dry:

Oh, and you just shot Charles Wallace Murphy btw. Epic fail.

I'm still upset about this. Tina it worries me that you seriously didn't realize it would have been MUCH better to holster tonight. I hope everyone scolds the crap out of you when they see your flubber.

You spent a short night in restless slumber. There was less movement around you, but more conversation, and not all of it was quiet. You were not quite awake enough to make out the words, although you could swear you heard Meg's voice threatening... someone. You weren't sure who.

As the light of dawn touched the faces of your companions, you realized that Meg had not yet stirred from where she slumped against the star-watching rock. Her eyes were open but glazed, and there was blood visible under her hand, which clutched the shirt over her heart.

Tina, Meg Murry - Town Even-night Vigilante, has been killed.

================

It is now Day 4.

Vote Darthe

TG, even if I was mafia, that wouldn't protect me from a vig kill. Pretty clear mafia is trying to set me up by killing Tina this night.

Posted

Hooray! I'm still alive!

Thank you mafia team for RBing Tina! ROFL :laugh:

Vote Darthe

And oh yeah, Rand is pretty much our remaining scum. "Quick Darthe! Remove your vote so it doesn't look scummy! I'll say this again in the game thread so I look more townie!" <- taken from the QT

FINAL D4 VOTE COUNT:

Mish (1) - TGlems

Darthe (4) - Peace, Mish, Rand, Despo

Not voting: Darthe

With 6 alive, it takes 4 to lynch

==========

Y'all are quick... that's a lynch, scene coming up momentarily.

It seemed the day had barely begun when a voice spoke up from your midst again. "Darthe is not one of us."

He spoke not a word as the group rushed him to the tree, as if he wasn't even really there. And in a way, it appeared he wasn't. When the rope pulled tight, the body you had seen vanished. On the ground, a large brain pulsed with your heartbeat, and thoughts that were not your own tried to intrude into your mind.

It was unpleasant, but you found a way to make it stop.

Darthe, IT - Mafia Goon - has been lynched.

==========

It is now Night 4. Night will end when all night actions have been received, or no later than Monday morning, November 26th, at 8:00 AM MST.

Did you ever wonder if you read too deeply into the words said by others? The tone, inflection, little way they chose to squint their eyes or twitch their nose as they presented themselves? We are, after all, highly elaborate presentations. Some of us choose to show us while others simply reveal whatever they want, uncaring as to whether or not it will betray them eventually because currently they simply want you out. Uninvolved. It is very ironic how much strain a social society can put on sociality. That is really what this game is about, examining how to break that gap most effectively. I find myself limited, plagued by the over-analysis and underscoring that I am left with in lieu of seeing you all. It creates a break of sorts, a form of psuedo-judgement that we must all undertake to effectively continue striving for truth in a world absent of it. Hence, I find it admirable when you can collectively do more than blunder your way into success, it is more than amusement. It is quite remarkable. I must go now, so I will sum my thoughts with this: BAH! Go Team!

Awh well now you make me feel like a jerk Peace lol. Philosophizing in mafia feels weird. To me, it's fun cause you get to kill people without playing a video game or doing jailtime

Wow! I suddenly realized why the heck I'm still alive. Tina was even-night vigilante, and it was night 3 when said she tried to kill me. That explains a lot.
