Hi all...just checking in. I'm currently on my lunch break, but I will be back in later to reread through the thread and figure out what is going on (I did read through it once already). Also - first mafia game, so I'm stoked.

I guess you know what you're doing. Seems a little premature to be painting a target on your back, but to each his own.

As for me, due to erratic play and at least two scummy votes, I will be voting Cyan.

unvote Nol

Not entirely sure I know what to think of you at this point, Nols, or whether I believe that, but I'm not risk it. Care to elaborate on why you think lynching Rand is the best move now?

Definitely FoSing Cyan as well, and BB's defense of her (especially outright stating she WASN'T defending her) seems like maybe scum protecting scum. Gonna see what Nols, Cyan and Rand say before deciding a new vote.

Well there was some discussion surrounding Rand around....page 7-10ish? Somewhere in there I think?

I believe it would net us the most useful information going in to Day 2

I don't like how Rand basically said he met the minimum requirement for posting so he can stay quiet if he wants but as of yet he hasn't done that which to me makes him seem nervous and concerned he may have to defend himself again

Lynching an inactive on the other hand will tell us relatively nothing about the people on the train

Unvote Nolder

Could go with Cyan, Rand, or someone inactive. Not really sure atm what I think is the best course, except that an inactive lynch is def not my first choice.

Ooh a power role eh? Fine, can't risk that. Unvote Nolder.

Well I have nothing. Absolutely nothing. It's too hard to get a read on anyone. You can all lynch me if you like.

Ishy what was my other scummy vote? The first one was I guess, but which other one are you referring to?

Oh and Rand, take it easy on Kronos.

Some serious pings here. First line: I know Nol admitted to a power, but Cyan is awfully fast to hop off the train. I'm getting a strange vibe that this bit was scripted in advance. Second line: is saying it's too hard to get a read on anyone a mild bit of fence-sitting? Finally, saying we can lynch her if we like: I think it sounds like sacrificing herself. I'm pondering whether maybe Nol has a power scum role, and the heat on him prompted scum to decide to avoid losing him by giving up one of their own without an important ability. Even if that last bit is off the mark, Cyan pings hard. Unvote, vote Cyan.

Well I doubt there would be a Lie Detector in a basic game but maybe this will make you feel better Basel.

I am town aligned and I have a power role.

Right, so my point earlier to say that I wasn't defending Cyan was because I wasn't defending her believe it or not, I was picking on Mish's particular reasoning for voting Cyan. Of the numerous reasons available, she picked a pretty useless one. I was having a go at Mish, not defending Cyan. Refer to earlier posts. Also, Cyan is not pinging well right now but I'm kind of at school so I don't really have time to do a re-read, but I can see the Nolder train isn't going anywhere so I'll invite.

Can't bold or red on my phone...

UNVOTE NOLDER

Yay people are posting!

Mkay, the reason I voted Nol in the first place was to avoid a random. But the possibility that he's a power role makes it a really bad idea to lynch him. Even if he's lying. Also, if I had left my vote on him you all would have mentioned how scummy that was.

It is too hard. You all are either posting about how scummy I am or how you might be convinced to vote for Rand. It's just annoying.

This I actually find really funny. I don't mind getting lynched if it gives the town good info. But the funny thing is that everyone things I'm scum for suggesting this. Of course when I flip town they all go opps. I've made it very easy to lynch me, and some of the people who do are most likely mafia looking for an easy lynch.

I am vanilla town.

Oh sorry, that wasn't directed at you Kronos, you ninjad me, that was at Nolder. What I was trying to say is that why would you claim a power role but not your actual role. That seems a little mafia sided, being very vague here. Also, I think it has been established that role hinting helps the mafia only. Currently, I see Cyan as being her normal spammy self. In the mafia game in the artists game, she was also very spammy and kind of like this, and she is definitely like this around DM, so I don't see that as something weird. I feel like some of the cases on her are mainly directed at some of the weird things that she has been doing, but I think she's just being her normal spammy self. Now, the role claim doesn't really help me in this, since anyone can claim vanilla town, so that doesn't really do anything.

Well I doubt there would be a Lie Detector in a basic game but maybe this will make you feel better Basel.

As you said, not really likely there is an LD, pretty much can check any statement that you have said before which there is probably one that says you're town. So not really assuring me, but not really making me feel that you are scummy either, that was pretty much useless for me. Currently, I think the only train is Cyan, but since she is vanilla town, we're not losing anyone and there could be some good info on that lynch.

Um, that's kind of completely not what I said. I just pointed out that I had met the requirement. That was just a clarification that I had met the requirement and was not breaking any of the rules there. I never said that it was OK for me to be inactive, the only reason I didn't post is because everyone was spamming. This has already been argued to death.

Quick recap of my thoughts:

Getting no scum read from Rand, open and willing to answer the inqusition.

Ishy is Ishy, and I am not capable of getting a read on him whatsoever. Too clever mister.

Cyan, very eager, but then again, she always is :P

Pretty much where my feelings are right now

I feel Ishy is being fairly agressive though which makes me lean a little farther that way. Are you mafia Ishy?

Agressive? In what way? It's pretty easy to throw around accusations and then back them up with nothing. It's also lazy and scummy.

But to answer your snide question, no, I am not Mafia. I am not third party. I am Town. And I also have no role.

Anything else I can clarify for you?

Posted

I will say this though:

Kudos to ya WBK for jumping into your first Mafia game guns blazing. Stay aggresive. I'm a big boy, I can take it.

Just trying to get the hang of this.

If you have any questions, PM Kay, Tress or Des, they can give you a hand.
