I can try to explain :P

 

Every game is a bit different, depending on who mods it. But basically, there are two (or more) teams - innocents/villagers/townies and evils/werewolves/mafia. The game has two phases - night and day. They have nothing to do with night and day in real life - a day in the game lasts for as long as it takes for the players to decide on who to lynch, or if the mod has set a deadline.

 

So anyway, each day the players vote on who to lynch. We want to lynch an evil player. A majority is needed to lynch someone. Sometimes the role is revealed upon death, sometimes not. When the lynch is done, it's night and the evils get to kill someone, and a bunch of other roled players can do their jobs - seek out other roled players, protect someone from being night killed and so on. When every roled player has sent in their action, the mod updates and it's day again. The game lasts until all the evils are dead - the innocents win, or until there are more evils left than innocents.

 

Again, this is just the basics - each game is different, and Sirayn, who will mod the next game, will probably (hopefully) tell us a bit more when it's time for the game to start.
