I had already did the pre-order deal thru the Dragonmount eStore, and was waiting hungrily for the Oct. 2nd download date that was given before, so does this mean I will be able to download it at midnight tonight with the order that I already made?

What country are you in? If it's the US check Google books to see if they have bumped the release date up.

Yes, though you may have to go to the store and manually start the download instead of it starting automatically. Not sure, maybe just wait and see.

I'm in the U.S. It still has the release date pegged at 10/2 so I may have to go a different route if I want it tonight. My brother has a kindle fire so I think I'll use that and purchase it off Dragonmount. Gotta support the little guys!

Ya the safety part is what I'm concerned with.

 

It's a Firefox Add-on with good reviews. It's 99% safe. Prob 99.99% safe if you have a good anti-virus just in case.

With calibre you can read e-books on your computer even if you don't have an e-reader.

Also, for those of you who use amazon, there is a free app called Kindle for PC you can use. Just search for it on amazon and you will be good to go.
