remind me again what I did to antagonize? I stepped here after he had said all of those things and then told him to stop, to which he hasn't responded. And also, he just basically called Alanna a bastard mod, which Alanna did say she was borderlining, but if Despo and Peace disagree, they have a right to express it.

Yeah Nolder gonna have to disagree with you on this one. You're assuming NotBob was provoked into saying the things he said. That's just not the case.

 

He came back into the thread immediately being disrespectful. I tried to lighten the tone and keep the discourse civil, but that obviously broke down on his end. Us asking him to stop being disrespectful does NOT equate to provoking him. It was only after he questioned the skills of me and my team that I said that his own activity in the game was partially to blame, which it was.

 

And I also said that the best course of action for him if he felt he had a true grievance would have been to take it up with a mafia mod, which he should have done in the first place if he felt it necessary instead of coming in here disrespecting both player and mod.

Guns blazing? All i was doing is trying to calm the situation down and trying to tell notbob to not post things like that. I saw that there was no staff there besides EP and I kind of am staff in Shayol Ghul I guess, so I felt that I should try and intervene and make things better. Sorry if you didn't like that.

I think it may just be because I have been around a lot of forum drama in my time on the internet and generally speaking telling people to calm down is rarely going to work and tends to just drag more people into the fray

The take a 30 minute break advise has been used here successfully on many occasions. I've never seen that response. I never once attacked the fella. So, forgive me if I don't see your point.

Rand, this is neither mine nor your jurisdiction. I posted advice as member of DM not as a staff member. When it was ignored I routed it to the appropriate moderators.

I don't presume to punish him, or to judge his actions, but as a fellow staff member, tell him what some of the repercussions might be and warn him.

It was designed so that if I chose a team that team would have the advantage, but it was designed in such a way that without me it coulf be anyones game. Remember the town had alot of people looking for Fain. Had I not chosen the DF team, I believe Des would have died by day 3 without me nudging it. So if you want to blame anyone for you losing it should be me.

You made a rational decision. Blame not necessary. My comments are directed at the set up. I'd like to think anyone in your position would have done the same. The fact is I suspected a double cross from the moment Des stated in thread that my action was not my own. At that point I could have chosen not to post again and it would not have changed the outcome. Poor game design. You can spin it however you want but it doesn't change the basic facts. The game was unwinnable by town and/or the other scum team. The team you selected had all the information needed to win and the outcome was predetermined from that point on. The fact that the others are self congratulatory is pitiful in my mind.

That's not true at all, even Desp wanted to keep you guys around at first, until you singled in on him you guys were safe, which is why I tried to steer you away from him. Other than outing you to the DF team I covered for you guys quite a bit. Peace actually said something in thread distancing himself from me that SHOULD have gotten me lynched, I forget what it was now but I remember commenting on it in the DF QT. Had you peace JLM and Des survived I would have just flipped a coin to decide who I won with.

 

The reason I chose the DF team is because you are known for being lurky, and peace is known for making outburst when the games start to go inactive. Des on the other hand has a playstyle that is pretty similar whether town or mafia, and Wombat tricked me good in the Avengers mafia game.

When you design a game each team should have an equal chance of winning with the determinant based upon game play. This game ultimately came down to which team you favored. The town had zero chance to win. The other scum team had even less. Once you told Des who was on the other team and he cased them how could he not appear town?

 

Rigged game. The other team did nothing to secure victory. You and you alone determined the victory not because you are very good but because the mod gave you information which predetermined the outcome.

I'm done talking, you obviously are thinking about the setup single mindedly. My role could have been botched just as easily as any other role. I'm quite well known for botching my roles, did it in the Smash Brothers game. Also to a lesser extent in the Avengers game on Myndjack.

So you're saying you would have had to botch your role for another team to have a chance of winning? The game was over once you identified one scum team to the other. You couldn't find a winning path for any other team at that point.

 

Instead your teammates claim some kind of clever play led them to victory. I claim its just information power not skill.
