It's a typical strategy by a Silencer to suggest that their target was silenced, cause then once the person confirms they were silenced it usually makes the silenced person trust that person more

I actually hadn't thought about that, I was more just trying to get someone who I thought was mafia and using that strategy lynched.

Actually, and I know this seems like just what you said would happen, but I think EP's right, I thought it would be very possible for someone to notice that I was not posting at all, but was posting everywhere else. so for that, I don't suspect him.

People keep asking, so I'm just post what I've already said in the OP...

 

*Scenes are pretty much just for flavor, and will probably be fairly short and to-the-point. I'm one of these players who doesn't really like to read scenes anyway, and I'm not much for writing them unless the theme is original material. In a WOT game, I kind of feel like the story has already been written, so I'm not going to waste too much time writing elaborate scenes.

 

 

Doesn't mean there won't ever be any hints in a scene. But, especially in lynch scenes, it could purely be for flavor. The fact is, at no point in the Great Hunt are all the characters gathered together, trying to decide who they should kill. The game doesn't entirely fit the book, so. Sometimes a death scene is just a death scene.

 

But. Not always. So feel free to speculate. But people keep asking, so I thought I'd explain.

so we have lynched one mafia peace and lost 3 towns 2 to NKs of some sort and one suddenly today. So far we have Mat Rand and Nyanaeve dead (she was doc) and we know Fain is in the game as mat and rand were hunting for him

We tried to reach a no lynch decision but failed, resulting in a no lynch. However, that was one time, from now on I think there will be randoms.

 

Mod Question: Will randoms have coroners?

It is currently night and the D1 no lynch was beyond sketchy. Knowing the roles of five players now it should be easy to analyze so I suggest reading through D1 at the very least.

It was semisketchy that we couldn't get the actual "No Lynch" vote to pass, but it wouldn't have been easy anyways with so little time before the deadline.

 

But it WAS the only real option available to us at the time. What would you rather of us done? Why didn't you propose something then?

 

I think you're trying to put out this mock outrage over the no lynch thing to try and earn townie cred. You're seriously jumping up high on my scumdar.

I could care less where I am on your scumdar. I was gone that day. Why isn't your concern. However, I made it clear beforehand that no lynch was stupid and I still stand that it was so. I was voting peace a good portion of D1 and we had several candidates at the time whose trains built slowly, some of which could have worked. We also had several pushed claims and then two kills that night. In addition the no lynch train built relatively quickly, around the same speed as Lenlo's if I remember correctly. It obviously was a mafia led decision and had no potential way to work in our favor. Hence..--> Poor decision. As to who we should have went for, I can't say but that does not dismiss it as a lucritive days worth of info.

Thats pro town in the first 7 pages? The first 7 pages, only 2 of which are actual gameplay? Wow. Ask a more double-edged question please. I would love to see if its possible. Explain what anyone has done thats pro town. We are in D1 in the first 10 pages of the game. The most pro town thing someone can do is FoS someone and they turn out to be scum. Thats it.

 

Well a couple of people have been scum hunting. That's pro town.

in regards to being "pro town"

I really hate getting into arguments about whether or not someone is being pro town

Especially later in the game

It's so easy to twist "scum hunting" to "witch hunting" using "baseless accusations" and whatnot

It's a vague statement that it easy to manipulate into meaning what you want it to mean at the time and IMHO mafia are the ones who get hung up over it more than town because they need to discredit and cast doubt on other players

 

Day 1 no one can really do much that's "pro town"

We have no information

All that can be done is the scummy thing which is make baseless accusations and bandwagon

Once reactions are given you can start analyzing but IMO it's better to just lynch the first person to get a bandwagon rather than analyze without the benefit of actual facts
