Discussing it on their QT still wouldn't have done anything, if a majority of townies are voting Lily. You make it seem like they could snap their fingers and rescue the GF. And for them all to have come out in the open defending her would have just outed their entire team. Not saying I wouldn't have liked that, but it still would have been a moronic play on their part. Not sure what you think they could have done. Mebbe you're just trying to mention it as a way of distancing from Lily...

Even so tho, I don't quite see how they could have really stopped him from leaving, especially considering we don't KNOW for sure he was mafia. Kinda thinking you might be my next vote after JLM Kae.

Have to say, I don't think a town would leave in a huff like that after lynching the GF, but I can't believe the rest of the mafia would let it happen like that either....idk how to take it, really.

BG continued reading and researching. Eventually he hit that point in the series that everyone knows and loathes. Some of us Hard Core Fan Freaks (HCFF's) don't like to admit it, but ultimately we all know its true. We start in on Crossroads of Twilight reading and find it strangley boring and unsatisfying. There's some good to it... sure... but let's be honest... it was a slow book.

 

After such a great finale of Winter's Heart, people had such high hopes to see how the world would be affected by such a drastic change. But CoT didn't fulfill that promise. Many became disenfrachised. Many fell away from the series. Its not this book's fault really. Such a drastic change as the finale of Winter's Heart doesn't make a difference immediately after all. But people still blamed the book. A lot of momentum was lost. In the end though, it moved us a long a little and helped advance the overall feeling of the Last Battle being near with much foreboding.

 

That being said, as BG researched he couldn't make it past the prologue without falling asleep countless times. The book slid out of his hands and into the nearby wastebasket. His wife emptied it while he was asleep and he lost his copy of the book.

Okay now that it's day, even if this brings stuff down on me, my first thoughts doing a first read thru, knowing Lily was mafia and Rand 1.0 was town. I'm suspicious of Ithi, because that big of dust up is always suspicious looking. Teammates trying a gambit?

 

Also Despo's play, cozying up to Ithi looks like maybe scum siding with a loud townie who is a good scum hunter to make himself look more town.

 

Whether either of those two are correct or not *shrug* but combined with Despo's voting pattern from yesterday I'm most strongly leaning towards him.
