So did I miss where Carol got killed? I mean I know she got chased deeper into the prison... but did it show her die or them finding her body?

Other than that this latest episode was a good fututre setup episode, nothing to major in my opinion.

Yeah, Rick was exceptional in that scene. Another thing that is amazing is he is an English actor and does a passable southern accent. Pretty impressive.

I don't know if you have watched this week's episode but it will clear up some of the feeding issues for the baby. You will get to see another side of Daryl. I think He is my favorite character.

Poor T-Dog's death was horrible. I am just curious as to the motivation of the writers to do so. Lori was the most hated character in the show and because of that one death, ratings should have been sky high.

They found a new black guy to take his place?

(You know, the ol' horror movie trope. Black guy always dies. (Except in Deep Blue Sea.black guy lived.))

Also, I must be the only person that didn't hate Lori? Hmm... Same goes for Nyneave/Egwene/Faile, and what not in WoT. Don't hate those characters either. <_<

I'm on issue #31

I read a bunch at one point and then got distracted and haven't read any since

And yeah I totally get where you're coming from

There was an aspect you really liked about TWD and you thought that it was going to be treated a certain way but it's gone back on that

It's reasonable to be upset about it

where are you reading it?

I dont think she is dead but they haven't shown it one way or the other. The group assumes she is dead and a scene was shown where Daryl laid a flower on her grave. I bet rick will find her next week after he comes out of his spiral towards madness.

That is funny. I think I figured out what the motivation was.

The producers said, "T-Dog, no one goes three months in a zombie apocolypse and gains weight. Dude, get it together and hit the treadmill."

Kind of like Hurley in Lost.

I didn't necessarily hate Lori but I did see the strife she caused between Shane and Rick. She assumed the worst about Shane and demanded to know why he said Rick was dead. It was clear in a flashback that Shane really did think Rick was dead and her accusation is ultimately what started his fall. What she did to Rick at the end of season 2 was unwarranted when she in fact, whispered in Rick's ear about Shane thinking that she, Carl, and the baby were his. What is a husband and father to do about that and this is what forced Rick's hand in killing Shane. After the deed was done she looks at him with hatred in her eyes.

That is why so many people hated her because she ruined a good man in Shane and tortured Rick's emotions.

Should be noted though.

She mentioned (only recnetly) that she had a C-Section with Carl. This was actually pretty pertinant info to relay to the audiance.. just a bit late.

Theres this issue with c-sections, in that women that have them, tend to only be able to really have c-sections afterwords.... Meaning the new kid would almost have to be born via c-section instead of natural.. and in their environment, women with c-sections... are probably going to die unless you got an ex-surgeon that knows what he's doing/equipment.

so... point is.. She never really explained this to her Housband, that there was a significant risk that she would have to have a c-section else (both) would die.

Yeah, that's true.

I know they planned that it would probably be a c-section and that Carol would perform it in the event that Herschel died (but this was after they were in the prison I think). There was an episode where Carol was practicing on a female walker.

Unfortunately, they didn't have time to wait for Herschel or get her back to him so he could at least attempt the surgery.

Truth be told, I didn't like her dying like that. I would have preferred at some point in the future that she be bitten by a walker or something.

Speaking of bitten by walkers. Have they showed conclusively that being bit turns you? Or do they just assume it would and shoot ya? I can't recall if anyones ever been bitten and not simply devoured while being left behind. <_<

Yeah the bite just kills you, and whatever they're all infected with is what brings you back as a walker.

Hmm, so that really just goes back to when I had mentioned that a Human bite is pretty damned dangerous (at least to other humans.. and only becomes more so, witha walking/rotting corpse).

Wonder if they ever attemped any kind of medicine to stop it. <_<

Hersh, for example. showed it was possible to break the feaver. >_>

I think that there is something to he walker bites that make them leathal. I don't think it's just the bite. If we remember Jim, he was having mental side effects as well, he kept seeing those flashes of becoming a walker.

And with Herschel, I don't think he ever got a fever due to Rick amputating his leg and stoping the infection from spreading.

He had a minor form of the fever, and there was that one point, I almost t hought he turned for a second.

I just wonder if they could use anti-bacterial medications, and possibly cutting out the wound (instead of amputation) instead of a bullet to the head.

cutting out the wound could take too long, and would be a lot more painful.

Due to depth and size of bites cut away/around the wound would render and limb useless anyways because you would have to remove so much muscle. If the bite were on the core if the body you'd be talking about potential major internal surgery... Just not possible in their environment.
