Peace's claim doesnt make sense to me. I dont know much about FF only FF10, FF7 and the basic magic colors. Black magic just doesnt do cure/protect/help anyone it destroys/hurts/stops something. I would expect black magic to be more vig/roleblock/bomb for that. Dont like it.

That you weren't on any at all. You didn't commit to a final vote on Day 1, the reason for which I have no idea, but I was struck by that considering that almost everyone else had committed somewhere, even if not on EP.

 

I guess it's safe to use the full reveal now.

 

I am vanilla at this point. But if Kuja was still alive I had to search for him at night. If I found him and I were night killed I would cast ULTIMA and take him out with me.

 

BTW, I crumbed ultima several times.

 

Anyway, my lynch won't be to hurtful other than losing a townee so I hope you guys can gleam good info from who's jumping on board.

 

One thing I want to point out that is very interesting. My antagonist from Day 1 has not voted me yet others are using her for a reason to vote for me. Ithi, keep that in mind with those awesome scum hunting abilities you have on future days.

 

Ok, this part now clarifies it for me. I admit that I'm awful at getting hints, but with you said your role was and the mechanics earlier where you were the counter to Kuja, makes me want to believe you. Unvote.

We still shouldn't discount Ithi as scum. It's most likely she's town, so I'm happy to simply congratulate her for lynching EP at the moment. [n]However, there's a slight possibility that there are two scum teams (particularly with the fad for multiple factions that seems to be sweeping DM mafia at the moment), or that she's a fancy third party, or that she was simply bussing her scumbuddy for town cred.[/b] This will become more important later in the game, if she is still alive.

 

So, I've read through the day's posts. We have a wagon on Peace and a wagon on Maw, with some people going for Mynd. There hasn't been an actual case presented for any of them, so I'm leery of voting at this point. Personally, I'm leaning Maw, but I'd like to go back and look properly.

I totally missed that! His thoughts are almost contrary though. If there are two teams then each would be too small to bus one of their own. It would be too big a risk. That makes pandas statement more WIFOM inducing than anything.

Are we seriously debating the definition of "Big Whup"? Meaning is in the context of the person who uses it. Eol once tried to diffuse an argument on gay marriage by asking us all to burn a "cigarette" but used the Irish slang for it. After a hilarious "who's on first" moment he realized that the same slang word for cigarette means something entirely different in the United States.

 

EP had been blatant about having a near obsessive knowledge of the FF universe, which surprised me when he then claimed Marcus. I never like blindly following a lynch without question and it seemed to me that a lot of the EP bandwagon began without Ithi's claim. It looked like people wanted him out because he could pick up on inconsistencies in the FF canon. I am very familiar with some of the games, but others I've never played I am pretty clueless about.

 

Occam's Razor would have me trust Ithi at this point, but her gameplay seems a bit more self-indulgent. Plus, I get frustrated when a revealed role is owned by a lazy townie who only makes pro-town moves when prodded by other players.

 

Red is one that I would peg as scum at this point based purely on previous experience.

 

Maw/(replacement) is another one that I think we should consider. I don't like how he folded and asked to be replaced so quickly after being pressured. If he were a solo town player, he would have just submitted to being lynched. Asking to be replaced implies that he has something to lose in this game that would affect others (as in mafia players).

Wtf? What makes you think that you're confirmed? And what makes you think that the mafia don't have a similar possibility that he flipped around. We said it was unlikely and you're straight up jumping the gun here. There's not stopping mafia members from having reachable goals.

Ok, as I've been catching up, I've picked up two things.

 

First, as others have pointed out, Mynd was EP's biggest defender on Day 1. And we know that EP flipped scum. So right away, Mynd goes up my list.

i didn't jump on his trian, i expelained why i thought that peace woudl be a good lynch over the night. my thoughts haven't changed even though i'm taking ithi with a grain of salt right not for her pingful reveal and boastful assumptions.

 

What boastful assumptions? She never claimed anything that I saw - other people were the ones that ran with the idea that she had detected EP. And her reveal didn't seem scummy to me - she was the leader vote getter at the time.

 

But I never even implied I had 'info' on Peace.

Emphasis mine. When Day started I'm pretty sure that most people thought you were certain. Think and is are different -> stall to his word against yours. He's hella scummy, but looking at it from a different perspective I get his defense and tbh I'm not ready to bank on your word again. Worked wonders first time but what are the odds. Nothing personal, just good business

 

Red jumping on his train first is weirdo though. I'm almost willing to vote her based on the fact that her game has been off which never really happens :P I want to hear what she has to say.

 

The only certainties in mafia come from the scum team. If anyone out there thought that she was certain after she told us that she had a null result from last night then I would say that they need to reevaluate their position. Nowhere did I see anything that said that she thought that she was certain of Peace's alignment. Getting EP was lucky - and Peace does genuinely look scummy to me for his questioning of her role yesterday - so much so that I had voted him instead of EP yesterday. Only at the end did he switch - after it was apparent that EP was going down. Final votecount provided for emphasis as well as identifying who voted where.

 

Now back to Peace - And for another thing, he claimed Vivi, and he said that with EP dying, he became vanilla. Vivi is a black mage, so it means that he casts attacking and status altering spells. Not the kind of spells that I would think would dispel stuff like silence. Dispel being the key word there. I think the claim is bogus. Better than EP's, but still a fake. Vote: Peace.

I've been reading your posts Mynd and they don't sit well tbh. I was suspicious of you before my reincarnation and nothing you have done has alleviated it. You were pushing to keep EP for the flimsiest reasons I've actually ever saw from you.

 

The only possible achievement we can receive from a Peace lynch is to vet the other players who have stated they have similar roles.

 

Also the breadcrumb I left was when I said that a mass role claim would "normally help the mafia pick out power roles (I don't think that's the case this game.) because I was originally a main character and was vanilla. :p told you I'm subtle.

*scratches head* oh-kay ... imo the counter ability would be best applied in a mafia game by making it like a Role Blocker. does this mean that he's told if his blocking works ... cause generally RBs aren't told this as it gives too much inside info (ie: lets them know whether or not the person their blocking has a role)

 

unless his is more like a sniffing role, where he's searching for a specific person (kinda like a psychitrist looking for the Sk to nuetralize them)
