That's what we said about I think Len protecting kaylee too, I am making sure we don't vote on something bad, plus, I already got her mad at me because I was asking her to do things she already did and she explained to me that she does have a busy schedule too. That was why I protected her.

typical day i like to go no more than 72hrs, exclusion is Day 1. in other words, this game is a hammer, but if you force my hand to set a deadline cause of inactivity i will not be rewarding this behavior. cause i'm a bastard mod like that

the only time i'll step in is if i think inactivity is a problem. the 72/48 hrs is a guidleing of when or if i might step in and speed things up. but this game IS a Hammer. you shouldn't need me to set a deadline or even threaten one to be active in the game.

I don't have much to go on this day. Arez made an honest slip, and given the nature of it I'm going to take the votes that went on him as town for the time being. At least until I get more data. I took a look at the votes on Kay. I figure that once the train built up, Mafia took advantage of it and went for the speed lynch. One of the later votes is likely Mafia. The last three votes were Maw, Nightstrike, and AH. NS is brand new, so he might not be as aware of the finer points. I'm going to focus on Maw and AH. Scum would want to build the train, but hammering would be too obvious and not well buried, so I find AH the less likely of the two. So I will go with vote Maw.

I actually agree with this in part but at this point will avoid the OMGUS vote on Maw and observe for now and see if he makes any slips

Here's the final vote count from yesterday. As Basel pointed out, Maw, Nightstrike, and AH are the final three votes on the Kaylee train, which is where scum would be likely to attach themselves. However, here is where I differ from him.

When I looked back, I found a very spammy Maw kitteh that I felt only contributed a Kaylee vote and not much else game related on Day 1. Playing it safe perhaps?

Nightstrike didn't even offer an explanation for his vote other than deadline was coming, but he is new, so I don't know if I'm reading too much into it.

Ok, so Kaylee thought things were being serious, unvoted, Firebird voted her for that, Kaylee defends herself and her statement t that it was serious, Arez votes on her, Alanna sees nothing wrong with Kaylee, Tress votes Kaylee because she made a point of unvoting. Kaylee pulls "I'm glad it's getting serious, but I'm town. Lynch me if you must." I believe she only had three votes at that point. BG voted her after that. Lenlo does not side with the Kaylee lynch. Mawth votes Kaylee for the "if you must" comment (where have you been Mawfield?!?!!?). Nightstrike votes with no reasoning.

Ok, at this point I feel like we could glean information from this lynch, looking at those who rushed to get on it and those who refused to do so.

Plus the timing of the "lynch me if you must." You do that when you have more than just 3 votes...

I think this might be a hammer.... Interesting game....

I had thought the same Raz but I am feeling good about Heart now so you would be better suited redirecting elsewhere.

I'm going to VOTE EP with an FoS at Arez for their votes on Kaylee. They still seem like a huge reach to me.

It was a reach but as it was the only thing I had to go on so I voted her for it, I expected a simple enough explanation for it. I went to bed and she had like 2 maybe 3 votes I woke up and she was lynched.

So this is two “I agree with this, but....” he wants to avoid an OMGUS, and he has a good feeling about me “now” despite agreeing with what Razen said. Why would that have changed? The people defending me are doing it oddly... In this case Firebird seems to be playing very safe...

Arez’s behavior is still interesting to me... Poet, Rand and Firebird have also stuck out some. Something just feels off about the Arez situation. Vote Arez

Wow, great analysis, yeah, I didn't notice the confused post coming right after, possible mafia, FoS, but I am going to stick with Maw for right now, not sure about Arez yet.

Ok guys, I have company over and am not likely to get back on before 6AM tomorrow. So I'm going to just share what thoughts I have so far. Here's just a few things. I don't have time yet to quote more.

Alanna, you've been kind of inactive and lurky.

In her defense, she does have a lot of things to do right now, I have been pestering her about a few things that she might have been annoyed at me for and she is a staff who has a lot of things to do. On a contrary note, I think an experienced mafia would stay on here a lot to check on whether or not they would need to defend themselves and would make less slips.

Interesting. Maw says Alanna has been inactive and lurky, and Rand jumps to her defense. FOS Rand, and to a lesser extent Alanna as well.

OK, the whole Aiel Heart being such a quick hammer on Kaylee has bugged me since Day 1. So I've been trying to case some of her other posts, but I'm not done yet. In my opinion the hammer spot is always suspicious and you don't just hammer someone that lightly. And then say you don't like speed lynches? Sounds more like trying to get out of heat for being the hammer to me. BUT, I have to admit I haven't yet been able to find anything else suspicious in her other posts. But I'm still working through a re-read so we'll see. ;)

Now what really set of my scumdar early in day one was the second vote on Kaylee. Day 1 silliness is good for one vote. But as soon as there are two votes on a person it isn't only first day randomness. Arez was the second to vote for Kaylee, starting the train, and has been pinging me a bit since.

So I'm keeping a close eye on the Rand / Alanna thing, Arez, and Aiel Heart.

However at the moment I'll vote Arez.

My goal is to one day be able to look at all of these posts and be able to figure out this much. So far, all the people who are experienced and have done half page analysis are voting for Arez making me think that it might have been a scum accident. I'm really thinking about going back to Arez, but I'm still unsure because of the whole accident thing. i know that that will probably happen to me and I can understand why that might happen. it also kind of does look like he knew what was happening and was trying to figure out who mafia was.

I'm going to set the record straight here and say that I am actually not that busy. I mean, yes, I have a job, but right now I'm about as busy as I usually am. That's really not why I've been quiet. Firstly, like I said before, I usually tend to be pretty quiet in games, especially early on. Those of you who haven't played with me wouldn't know this, and you really don't have any reason to trust it, but I'm kind of surprised Poet mentioned it, because we've played together before, though it has been a while. I would be surprised BG mentioned it, but his vote struck me as him trying to pull me out, and not so much that he found it weird that I wa being quiet.

That said, the fact that I "always" am this quiet isn't a reason for me to be town - but I find it odd that some people find it suspicious, with really no other reason to find me suspicious. Especially since people like Kae have also been pretty quiet.

Sorry if this seems overdefensive, but this is one of the reasons I quit mafia for a while, I was tired of people who didn't know me calling me scum just for being quiet. So it frustrates me.

I don't have much of a read on this game yet. That's why I haven't really posted. I don't like to stir the pot, I prefer to sit back and watch things develop. However, when I get stuck like this, I prefer to reread and do some casings, which I hope to do tomorrow (right now, too tired, long shift at work today).

I'm not sure how I missed Poet's comment before Arez's but I will take that into account, as Maw hasn't really said anything relevent since I said I was going to observe him. I have seen reactions come about as post someone else mentioning it and also have seen the over-reactions of a QT in passed games turned into a quick simple post on the game threads

Nobody's really been saying much that is relevant. So I think our best options are to apply a bit more pressure to get people to start talking. Maybe that will jumpstart this game a little more.

@Alanna, its Day 2. I know Day 1 wasn't that long, but this is a smaller game and so speaking up more now would be appreciated.
