I use one swear word and I'm an ass? Grow up. We live in Charleston, and if [flaming poop] offends you, then head up North. I haven't said anything offensive other than I think you're scum. If you need to use my one and only PG13 appropriate swear word as ammunition against me, be my guest. And don't even think of trying to associate me and your partner Ape. He's scum, I'm not, you're scum, I'm not, and crying about a few 12 year old swear words won't sway us otherwise.

I would be very wary of lynching Ishy today. He wants it too bad. If he is the arsonist instead of the firefighter as he claimed, there may be some sort of crazy additional feature that ignites all his targets if he's lynched. Not that I've seen anything that indicates this is possible, but this is the mad pirate we're talking about here.

**Here's a little something to unsettle everyone's nerves a bit - I briefly considered making the Arsonist and the Firefighter the same person. I would have given them three searches per night, and chosen a random victim to douse each day. Now, I did not go with this because of the obvious flaws, but I did roll it around a bit. Just so you know.

My big suspicion is that Ishy is trying to protect someone.

I'm coming to that conclusion myself, since he is trying so hard to get lynched...this is nuts.

Ishmael is protecting Wombat. Conclusion? Wombat has conversion ability.

 

The plan was probably to come out and push a lynch on an innocent, which would have essentially wrapped this game up. Then I came at wombat, so Ishy began coming at me. Now that I've made a ton of sense, Ishy is forfeiting himself to draw the lynch and keep wombat alive.

If I had access to a nightkill or conversion, why wouldn't I kill or convert Song as soon as I could after she revealed her role on our QT? Song claimed cop on the QT on Day 4 iirc. If I were the Monocle, that would mean I left Song alive for another night before killing her. If the Monocle were on the Pilot QT, Song would have been converted N4 imo.

I thought the same thing...the only reason I'm still unsure about you is that we don't have any proof of your role, first off (did anyone own up to shooting you N1?), and that killing or recruiting her immediately might have given you away, since NotBob can vet himself and you were mostly the only other one active...granted, I'm not saying it makes TONS of sense, but I'm not ruling out any possibility. Oh, here's a theory: leaving her alive that night allowed her to clear everyone in your QT, and she'd outlived her usefulness at that point...?

If N1 - N3 converts were all dead, then the odds of song viewing original, scum on N4 were terrible. Converter and 1 other scum potentially, right? Besides wombat had already steered Song to view only within our guild. If wombs is the converter he may view as a GF.

 

Then on N5 Song was killed. When no actions could be used anyway.

Regarding the option to holster...yes, I have it. I dunno why anyone is saying it's possible I HAVE to kill. I don't. I've been pretty clear on that, methinks. Ishy, right now I'm 3-2 on town-scum ratio of kills. Until last night I was 2-2. That's not THAT bad. If I was scum, why the heck would I kill someone we just recruited that same night, especially if for whatever reason a recruit had failed the night before? Why would I kill a symp, who had apparently been very close to joining the mafia team for reals? If I knew who the original scum were, they'd be dead by now. I'm trying. I had my reasons for killing everyone I killed, and all of them turned out to be wrong--but does that mean I didn't have them? (for the record, I have discussed all my kill choices and reasoning before--if you're all dying to know what they are, again, sure, I'll share, and I'm sure someone can cross-check to make sure I'm not changing my story, but otherwise...meh)

 

Wombat--Thanks for quoting that. I wasn't really paying attention to the scenes at that point in the game, so I didn't remember seeing that. It's possible you're a mafia one-shot strong man, but I'm doubting that atm...although...at the point Song revealed in her QT (skimming back through it now), she had had 3 nights to use her ability, and she listed all her results...I guess it would have been kind of a given at that point that she'd check out the remaining uncleared member of her guild the next night. *shrugs*

 

Song DID have one town reading of someone not in her guild, though (I'd forgotten, yay for reskims). But yes--Ithi LDed Wombat, although the phrase she LDed is one I personally feel could give iffy results, depending on how Wes handles it, BUT since Song also viewed him and got him as town...unless he is mafia godfather, recruiter, and one-shot strongman...which I'm not discounting...he's probably not original scum.

Ooh, ninja'd a couple times by the Ape. I'm waiting to see what a not-drunk-but-hungover Ishy brings, personally, and to see what NotBob does. Ishy obviously isn't always the most sense-making drunk out there. So if he wants to change his game when he's a little more sober, I might give him that. I dunno. I hate it when people play mafia drunk. It makes it so hard to figure out what's going on.

 

How did Wombat steer Song to only view within your guild? There was only one other night after the night she revealed that anyone knew she was cop anyway, before she died the next, and she'd already made her choices on who to view.

In a game this big, with as many kills as we've seen.... It's entirely feasible, and likely, that the converter has some layer of protective abilities otherwise game could be fouled up on a fluke early kill.

[The Crusher]

Crusher sits expectantly at his gleaming brass grill. He stares adoringly at the work of art upon which so many masterpieces have been created...and loves that it features three deep bays, each insulated to maintain different temperatures at the same time. There are multiple grills over each level, a surface to boil in a large pot and a smoker in the back. Truth be told, it is as close to a perfect thing as could ever be imagined, and it does still gleam, even in the half light of the failing sun.

Only one bay is lit this morning, though, and that is to house the flames that gently lick the edges of the one truly perfect food: bacon. But do not think that this is regular bacon, for Crusher would never insult the mighty grill with such meager offerings, no. His mouth waters over the crisping edges of the thick-sliced, maple-cured bacon, with strips as long as a man's arm and as thick as a a WoT book. Grease pops, wafting a heavenly aroma into the air...but the big man slumps forward, a hand suddenly reaching for his middle. The hand comes away covered in blood. He turns to see a shadow standing on the roof behind him. A shooter, and they struck home.

"Oh well. I guess it had to happen sometime. Best not to cry about it. Let's see what we have here..."

He turns to the Dogfish Head beer tap situated perfectly within reach of the grill, and fills a pint glass. Then he grabs a perfectly cooked piece of bacon, wolfs it down, quenches it with the beer, and keels over. We should all be so lucky.

CRUSHER, TOWN MIRROR, HAS BEEN KILLED.

AND, DOGFISH HEAD BREWERY IS THE OFFICIAL BEER OF STEAMPUNKS (REALLY). PLEASE ENJOY THEIR BEER AND THEIR STEAMPUNKNESS ON THEIR WEBSITE. I AM CURRENTLY ENJOYING MY THIRD 90 MINUTE IPA, AND I JUST CAN'T RECOMMEND THIS BEER ENOUGH. THE CHICORY STOUT IS ALSO DELICIOUS. SO IS EVERYTHING ELSE THAT THEY BREW. THAT IS ALL.

That does make sense. If Wombat had ever said "I'm town" and Ithi had LDed THAT...I could trust THAT, mostly. I was once an ultimate GF role, where I was immune to all investigative-type abilities, LD included. But I'd only seen it once, so I'm not sure if it would be here. XD

But the phrase Ithi LDed was something along the lines of "I have a mixed read on Nolder." I'm pretty sure it was Nolder. But it involved mixed reads--and like I said in response to that earlier in the game, you can get reads from people even if you know their alignment. I've modded games where I KNEW a player was town and if I'd been IN the game, I would have lynched him in a heartbeat because he was giving me such a scummy vibe. Mixed read could be a truthful statement, independent of if Wombat knew Nol's alignment or not.
