I'm pretty interested by those who are implying that factions are aware of their teammates (Red and Nolder). Either they are a member of a united faction--which would give them an advantage at this stage in the game because they could push their agenda--or they are alone and thus are guessing. Now, it's possible they are a member of a non-united faction attempting to mislead people, but why would you want to mislead your own faction?

Anyway, Nolder claimed that he doesn't know how factions work here, which to me means he is either Cult (dangerous) or something unlisted (also dangerous). In that case, I think that no one would really mourn the passing of a neutral,

Frankly, I've got a great track record reading Nolder and I trust my read that he is not doing what he does as scum. End of story. If you want to spin that as me defending him, fine. I think it says more about you that you'd spin it as someone sticking their neck out for the easiest lynch in the game. You want to run him up, go ahead. I'm just not feeling it. As for the insinuation that I think he might be in my faction, that comment is pure ill-informed conjecture.

don't care 2 shakes about your track record on reading Nol. for all i know, the people who have these "town" reads on Nol are in his faction and tryign to prevent him from getting lynched. (This is a naive thing to insinuate, you are an experience player. I expect more from you.) the only way to find out is to take my big stick out and beat the grass.

in this game, town = someone in your faction; scum = those not in your faction. i'm not making persumptions about the game set up, (You see the sentence before this? Its a presumption. Your interpretation of Wombat's clues about the setup are not fact and until we see some deaths and scenes, we won't know anything to be sure. So, I rest my case, you are being presumptuous, even if you say you aren't.) just pointing out what i infered from my own role pm and what womby has posted on thread.

to the underlined - it's not ill-formed, its actually a very logical conclusion. (Not really.)

you having a "town" read on him, says to me you believe him to be in your faction (Well, then your dumb. I just explained my read on him is that he is not being divisive or subversive. My approach to D1 for this game has been stated.); hence the only reason why you would jump to his defense and side with him against those of us voting him.

Long story, short... It's D1 in what should be a complex game. I'm not making ANY presumptuous posts about the setup, like you and many others have. I'm handling D1 like it should be handled. Get raw reads on people, and lynch the person who seems most divisive agenda.

your taking a less proactive approah to it though Ape, where as i'm being antagonistic about it by poking, prodding and pullign out my flame thrower. why so cautious??

Tina fits that bill, imo.

then lets get a good second wagon going on her. the more pressure, the more info.

The more I re-read this post from you, the more I feel it is ear-marked with signature scum sentiments. Multiple people have expressed a town read on Nolder, you single out me though and insinuate I'm defending a scum mate. Typical thing for scum to do. Ping. You echo cases that are already on the table having been made by others, offering no position of your own. Ping. The the piece de resistance... you take 2 people that are in the majority's crosshairs and suggest a possible gambit. Ping.

If we don't lynch Tina, then my #2 choice is you.

your the first to side with Nol against the reason people are voting him, this is different than just posting "meh he reads like town" btw, i'm not echoing cases already sated on Nol, (You echoed for Christin and Tina) as i'm the one that started this case against Nol if you go back and look. and i wouldn't count myself so popular if i was you, Tina and Chrissy seem to be 2nd and 3rd after Nol as far as lynch candidates. so stop making it lok like mroe than there is. (I'm not the one doing any spinning. My response to your post made it clear I was pointing out you echoing the Tina and Chrissy things, I never accused you of echoing a case on Nolder. Just the girls. You are the one spinning...)

not to mention my pointing out your blatant defense of Nol is the first actual game related reason anyones come up with yet to put you in the spotlight, and in all consideration, thats not much considering the lovely pings Tina and Chrissy have done. (At this point, I can't even following your yammering... your defense is highly suspect, it seems like your throwing everything you can get your hands on back in my face. You seem desperate.)

if i'm your 2nd choice, i welcoem the pressure. bring it Ape; i need retribution for the last GoT game anyways

My inline responses are in red.

As a whole, I think this is a great over-reaction with a heaping side of OMGUS to a little FOS from me to you.

I don't know what to think about the setup, but I think you've made obvious assumptions about it - and you are flinging crap at anyone who doesn't want to follow your lead.

its a very safe assumption to make given whats already been stated by the mod. this arguement is pointless becuase it will lead to us compairing role pm's and thats not in the spirit of the game as far as i'm concerned.

call it what you want, but i'm obviously not alone in these assuptions as others have drawn the same conclusions

you are spinning, your trying to make it look ike i'm bandwagoning Chrissy and Tina and like their leading the drive against Nol.

the thing you claim i'm echoing them on is their reason (aka case) for lynchgin Nol; err-go you are claiming i'm echoing their case against Nol.

This is the weakest shit I've ever seen in mafia. I'm not getting it a wall of text pissing contest.

I'll address a couple things and then I'm done with you, because I personally think you are derailing the other discussion at this point.

First off, I never called your approach to the game dumb. I said the conclusion you reached was dumb. Specifically, you said "you having a "town" read on him, says to me you believe him to be in your faction" and I called this conclusion you have reached dumb. Reading comprehension.

As for the other two bolded statements, I said you echoed the cases OTHER PEOPLE had against Tina and Christine. Now you are defending by saying that I said "the thing you claim i'm echoing them on is their reason (aka case) for lynchgin Nol; err-go you are claiming i'm echoing their case against Nol". You don't even know what you are defending.

I'll bump the post in question...

Also, bullshit... you sure as hell are defending. I haven't made any assumptions, I'm basing what I say entirely on things other people have said. Closest thing to fact we have right now. Not assumptions. If you were "correcting my assumptions" you'd probably not be completely wrong in the actual details of what you are talking about.

Anyway, Nolder claimed that he doesn't know how factions work here, which to me means he is either Cult (dangerous) or something unlisted (also dangerous). In that case, I think that no one would really mourn the passing of a neutral,

I think you're making the false assumption that you know how this setup is designed simply to suit your own need to have some reason for voting me

if you were being objective I could be an unaligned survivor or some other unknown entity that is little danger to anyone

the truth is you jump right to cult to put a fear into people and try to shock them into voting even though to the majority of people house stark (the so called heroes of the series) would be just as dangerous as a cult

you people will need to pick up the pace.

I'm an incredibly gifted mafia player but in order for my talents to be on display, I need death. Rest assured that within 3-4 game days I will have the game figured out at which point you can hoist me on your e-shoulders and celebrate my magnificance.

Pac you want death, you can have it

about time.. I would have thought that post would have had me at L1 within a couple hours.

You had another post after that would have helped explain more from what I'm about to say, but I'm a bit rusty on these forums, been a while.

I would hate too have to remind people that we have "cult" in the game, yes I've mentioned that word......Pac I'm sure if you were cult and your "Faction" avoided lynches for 3/4 days then yes you probably would have the game figured out, same goes for anyone doing soft faction claims for no reason on day 1.....biggest scum in any game to me is "the cult"

Posted

i'm looking at this game like Kiv's GoT mafia. each house/faction being a mafia, and it being the faction who gains the most #'s being the winner. the strategy is simple; get rid of people who arent' in your faction and apply pressure onto those who you don't think are in your faction,

eventually, it should become clear who is with what faction; giving us all more info on who better the lynch. obviously on D1, the first faction to have a member of their house lynched will be at a disadvantage and less likely to draw support.

atleast thats how i'm taking this game right now. so while there no "scum" in the normal sense of the word, anyone not in your faction or aligned with your faction is scum to you.

Alright, 2 things.

1. Tina is pinging me on the Greyjoy thing. Pushing that just a little hard. I mean, it's one thing to kind of breadcrumb who you are, but you're just going for overkill, as though... There is 32 people in this game, not enough to have all of house Greyjoy as part of the characters. I am betting that the role you were given as a fake claim is a Greyjoy. So, yeah.

2. I never thought I would agree with Red, but FoS Nolder. THIS post. I have no idea who else is in my faction. I am more than certain that I am not the only one like that. Given that statement, it seems to me as though you must known who is in your faction, which means you are probably a hindrance against others.

Unvote: Red

VOTE: NOLDER

it's funny that you take my question as confirmation that I'm aligned with anyone when it's just as likely I asked because I have no idea how the factions work and was digging for info

just looking for an excuse to pile on pressure obviously

Unvote: Panda

Vote: Christine

I've got to agree with the Nolderp here. Christine's drawing short-sighted conclusions about why Nolder would have asked that question. The fact she's played way more games with him than I have, and I see what he was doing and she doesn't makes me question her actual agenda... seems like she's building a presumptuous case on an easy lynch candidate. When the reality is he just asked a trap-style question to see how peeps react.

If we were to lynch either of them, I'd go Christine. Frankly, IF Nolderp is up to no good, it will become obvious sooner than later, and he's easy to take out later. For now though, I am getting a strong town read on him.

the ape is defending Nol, duely noted. mayhaps you feel he's in your faction and don't want your team 1 down to begin with.

i'd also be good with a Chrissy lynch for reasons already stated by others.

Tina pinged my gut as a Greyjoy as well; i dunno if her changing her story to "i thought he was a greyjoy hence my vote" is legit or her just cyaing tbh. they might both be greyjoys pulling some gambit to try and fish out unknown memebrs of their house for all i know.

If we don't lynch Tina, then my #2 choice is you.

This is the bump.

In bold blue, you will see Red nudge the trains on both Christine and Tina, or at least express a willingness to vote them. Then you see me point out that she is echoing cases already made by others. NOT accusing her of piggy-backing on cases made by Christine and Tina, but instead pushing cases made against them.

Red doesn't even know what she's defending against.

My take on this? Red is making a big stinking mess of an argument to protect someone... I'm voting Tina. Hmmm... and I highly doubt Red is in fact willing to vote Tina. This post, that she doesn't even remember now, seems more like Red distancing from Tina.

So, I rest my case Tina or Red are fine lynches in my opinion.

Personally, I'm voting for Tina cus she seems to be looking for Greyjoys, or the Greyjoys are looking for her. Personally, if that's right, I don't really feel like letting it happen.

My vote is on Tina because she pushed the notion that there was no scum in this game, a clear contradiction of mod-confirmed information. The entire dialogue of mafia revolves around calling people scummy and townie... and she insinuated that calling anyone scummy is both a waste of time, and potentially divisive.

My vote is staying on Tina because of this ruckus and attempt to redirect FOS at me that Red has been employing. My case on Tina has traction, and Red even nudged it saying something about a gambit, but then over-shadows that comment with a grand bicker-fest with me, in which she can't keep her details straight, is putting words in my mouth blatantly and for all intents and purposes making a mess of the thread for no reason... or does she have a reason?

Remember back when I was onto Blackhoof early D1 in a game where he was your scummate? You did the ruckus and re-direct attempt to take me down, and get the focus off of Blackhoof. It backfired. I won the argument, we lynched you and then we lynched Blackhoof, and a third of your scummates because it was obvious you were trying to stifle my cases on him and the other teammate. Part of me suspects that Red is trying to stifle my case on Tina, which would indicate a possible connection between them.
