In my opinion, you're all good Hoof, I hope you noticed, but I'm a big fan of yours and Nol's, I absolutely hate players that use meta to build cases. I refuse to make cases on you and him solely due to past games and try to discourage such. Maybe that's a weakness of mine and I'm sure it will bite me on the ass eventually, but there it is...

thanks

I don't mind meta to a degree

meta can be reasonable at times but I'd definitely advise anyone not to rely solely on it

Just read the scum QT and wow. Song is the one that killed it for me. Dang. And just as a learning tool, what made you guys think I was the Symp in early game?

You echoed everything I was doing early on.

Posted

Oh well. Should have killed John instead of Key. That was my mistake.

Ah, so THAT is why there was only 1 kill that night - we both shot her. I was racking my brain trying to figure out if you were SK and used up your shots, if Wombat was SK, or if you were vig and holstered out of indecisiveness. Haha...

This.

I argue just as hard, and with just as little logic (at times) when I'm town too. The way I play, there's really not much of a difference between me as town and me as scum, I've been told. Only met one person who had a tell on me, she told me what it was... big mistake.

Don't gloat so hard--I had one tell on you the day before I died, but by then it was too late and as I already stated before, I could only kill every other night. And I won't tell you what it was. Also, you never 'won' me over--the ONLY reason I didn't kill you earlier was because I feared a doctor/watcher/something else would be on you, and that killing you would bring suspicion on top of me because I paid the most attention to you during the day. Next time I'll just kill you, no biggie.

If this had been a coroner game, I might have won, I think. First of all, it confused me that there were only three mafia in a game this size--I would have seen four in other places, and a serial killer. Secondly, I really should have acted on my instincts more--in case you weren't reading, John, we killed the same person two nights in a row. I didn't kill Meesh because there was something in my gut telling me not to kill her, and I tend to kill more overshadowed players when I'm serial killer because I try to predict who the mafia wouldn't kill to create even more night kills. I forgot Boyo was playing, which was a little pathetic.

You realize the irony of this statement, I'm sure.

No one ever pays attention to it when I complain, anyway! I don't even know why I still play mafia sometimes. I got so disappointed how this game turned out that I lost two hours of sleep last night and I don't think anyone is even going to read this post.

You played great - I had a feeling you knew who I was, and I knew who you were most of the last 2 days. Hard to win as SK, you came damn close.

Posted

But as pro-town as John may seem, always think for yourself and don't let him make decisions for you, because if you let him, Ape will convince you that the sky is falling and make you think that it's your idea. Yeah, he's that good.

No kidding. What a bloody enormous force of personality. Brilliantly played; that was a well-deserved win.

Some of my thoughts on the game:

Is it just me, or was the mafia team severely underpowered? They had only 3 players in a 16 player game? And one is a usurper, and their powers only include godfather and a bomb? This was what me so confused at the end. With 6 players alive and no Town dead, I couldn't fathom how the game couldn't be over yet. Even with a SK there was no way the mafia wouldn't win. I'm guessing now that it was because of the usurper?

But yeah, great game. Was kinda sorry that I wasn't more beneficial to the town. =/ But regardless, spectacularly played mafia. (That accidental lynch on Ishy was killer though.)

Well, now that you "know my tell" you don't need to. :P

You don't understand, man. You're my self-proclaimed rival here now.

Posted

Man, I can't control who my rival ends up being on every site~

There's always that one person in every mafia community that I feel especially competitive towards.

Wooo! Good game, everyone. There were times I was pulling my hair out and I thought we were goners, but Ape's total and complete brilliance saved us, IMO. XD And we got really really lucky at the end there, with the Ishy lynch.

Yeah, we had NO idea Nol was symp, we were sitting there wracking our brains on who it could be; little did we know we'd forced his lynch Day 1. XD

Great game, Amega--there were some rough patches, but you did great for modding such a complex set-up. And I was way more emotionally invested in this game than I had been in any other game for a long time.

Also, Boyo gave up his usurper role a little while after Hoof revealed, so it didn't count as a threat once we got past that point. Obviously his reasons weren't entirely selfish, but it still helped--and I think he was instrumental in helping us calm down and keep clear heads in our QT when something particularly irking happened.

It was a great experience I had in this game, guys. Thanks, Amega, thanks players.

It was my bad leaving Ishy to be hammered so quickly :/ I've always LOATHED being a double voter. Anyone who knows me know that, and I always get it!!!! Sorry Ish.

So you really, really liked your role in my WoT game then.
