hey guys

I'll be running an advanced game vaguely soon (I'm not skipping those ahead of me in line, no worries!) but I have a bit of a problem

I have two games approved as of right now and I really like them both but I don't know which to choose

the problem is I'm not very good at writing flavor such as opening scene, death scenes, ect

so I'd like to try to do most of that in advanced so I have as little work possible while the game is running

but I'm lazy and that kind of stuff is hard work for me so I don't want to write up flavor for both games at once when I'll only be running one anyway

 

so what I'd like you guys to do is vote between the two games and I'll write all the scenes and such for that game now so that by the time sign ups roll around we'll be ready to go

 

the games you'll be choosing between are:

Monopoly Mafia

-OR-

Terrorist Mafia

 

each of the games is made for 20 people and has a twist to it

 

Monopoly Mafia will allow players to vote for Chance or Community Chest instead of lynching a player or no lynching

if a majority is reached for one of these options I will randomly choose one out of ten cards I've made

if this option is chosen it is effectively a "no lynch" meaning that, unless the card says otherwise, play will move to Night

 

Terrorist Mafia is as bad as it sounds

terrorists have planted a bomb which you will have to defuse with a code

if you do not defuse the bomb in time (it will be counting down during the day and paused during the night) it will explode and the town will lose, even if you've lynched all the scum

and even if you do defuse the bomb in time you still have to eliminate the scum lest they reactivate the bomb when you're dead

 

this vote is open to everyone since I'm sure I'll need backups

so even if you don't intend on play feel free to vote anyway

both setups should be pretty fun I think

P.S. I know I could just make this a poll but doing it this way allows people to change their votes as well as post their opinions

I think the Monopoly one sounds most interesting, but I could only play in the terrorist one. I'm on a break right now from mafia, so if it's soon, I won't be playing anyway.

I must say I don't fully understand how Monopoly Mafia works, but it could just be because I'm not English...

@lily: I don't expect it to happen until Novemeber at the earliest but it's really dependent on the games ahead of me in the queue

@Ley: well the Monopoly game is more standard since you can choose to ignore the Chance/Community Chests and just lynch off scum as per usual

btw I know I included no end date for this poll

I'll let you guys know when I'm going to set a cut off

if there is a tie I'll be flipping a coin

if there are just no votes I'll be defaulting to the Monopoly game since I feel it's closer to what a standard game of mafia should be and I'll tuck the Terrorist setup away for a rainy day

Same boat for me - I've seen and commented on Monopoly, but not the Terrorist one.

purely because i just got back form McD's and am playing the game there. McD's Monopoly FTW!!! i got Parkplace on my second sticker i peeled off. heres to starting off with a great piece, and i've already got one of the railroads, B&O

It's fun for the customers, Red, but we employees and our families don't get to play AT ALL. Not even the free food, technically, although my McD's at least doesn't make a big stink if my mom buys a sandwich, gets a free food sticker, and uses it later, so that's not too bad.

alright looks like people are pretty sure they want monopoly so I'm going to set a deadline early on this

voting ends on the 9th after that I'll get to work on flavor and such and hopefully we'll be playing sometime in mid november
