I dislike this post. The situation in general is pretty clear thusfar, this seems too much like somebody just trying to blend in and do some fishing.

 

This looks like a very weird day. Not much development aside from Nolder and Amega slowly gaining votes, but that could happen in any number of ways. Since there doesn't seem much chance for others developments today, I'm gonna vote Amega to keep this opposition going. I have to say I haven't seen much to show the mafia trying to push for someone in particular, or a potential cult doing so. Still, for what it is worth, indicating in the first posts that one intends to vote when it would not be totally random, could be mafia blending in and wanting to be thought town.

Well I disagree. First of all I asked about the situation before I'd been able to see what it was, and I don't know what is clear about the situation. Information is scarce.

 

Secondly maintaining the balance between Nolder and Amega, while not likely to achieve a lynching bandwagon, does have the point that with still 24h left until deadline there is time to see how this balance unravels (As well as being more secure about the deadline, a consolidation will have to occur, but it doesn't need to yet.) Personally I haven't noticed any very good signs of skum, I might even think the scum might be happy with either lynch.

Getting scum on day 1 is rare, but not unheard of. That said, scum are quite likely to be happy with those trains, since it would be easy to make sure the right train gets picked for the lynch.

 

And GF, yes, information is scarce, knowing whats going on is easy enough though, and since you obviously went through and read up on the thread after posting that, the question comes across very strongly to me as a means of trying to slip under the radar.

 

As for maintaining any balance, its still a bandwagon with easy reasoning that makes it appear to me that you are trying not to stand out.

Nolder, I voted for you because I think you are scum. Even if someone's posting style isn't like mine I won't lynch them for it. However, you seem to be all over the place and grasping imo with whatever scheme you are up to. Maybe it is part of your style in a way that is screaming scum to me. Your posts read like you are the only town member and are trying to make a case on everyone.

 

Don't like this post. These are very vague reasons (grasping with schemes?) - it appears obvious that Nolder is going for the "beat the grass to startle the snakes" method. Sometimes it works - sometimes it doesn't. But on D1 it is certainly a valid way to approach the game.

Glad you're ok Soy, we just barely dodged the storm here in SC. Lived through Hugo in '89, know how bad the aftermath is.

 

Not game related, but I grew up in SC, where are you from around there?

 

First off you read too much about mafia I think. I call Lily out on what I call "Lily White" which is too townie all the time. Each time she has been scum, so take from that whatever you like. If someone seems to be stressing their townie-ness too much it is usually for a reason, 1) they have a power role or 2) they are mafia. Just my experience playing the game. Oh, and if I don't have at least one person sure I am scum every game when I am not I so feel like I am not doing my job of playing. 

 

I agree that a lot of day one randomness for randomness sake is sad. However, people's guards are usually down and you can read more from when they get serious. Just my thoughts. Not to mention it is a game and we are suppose to have fun. Getting too serious right away seems to take away from some of that.

 

We still don't have everyone here. So, building a case is pointless I think. My meaning is I like to have at least all the players active before I get down to seriousness. We have several players who haven't done that yet. 

 

Nolder it is interesting that I poked at you without a vote and got such a strong reaction out of you. Makes me wonder what you are hiding.

 

I agree with all of this, but it raises flags against Min also. She is accusing Nolder of playing to town, but it seems like she is doing the same thing also.

lurking is worse than random voting for sure

what we want to do is form lynch trains and then analyze them

reckless random/joke voting (and taking your vote off as soon as a bw forms) and lurking are both harmful to a successful day 1

And what other candidate have you "explored"? The only person that you voted for seriously is amega. You took your vote off him for what, a few hours? Then claiming self preservation put your vote back on him, even though the majority of the votes are still on you and you voting for amega doesn't save you in any way. And I wouldn't have called you closed minded (kinda think I would have by now if I was going to) because that would have been a little hypocritical since I haven't changed my only serious vote.

if my wagon got too far ahead maf could just jump on it and claim they're going with the majority because the majority must be right

honestly people do that as townies as well

if you don't have a good read sometimes it's all you can go on, especially this early in the game
