Vote Csarmi. I'm not sure I really find him scummy, but in hopes of getting a majority.

Well who do you find scummy? Sounds to me like you're trying to distance youself if he ends up being scum. I haven't heard many other people offer up any ideas on who to lynch.

Look, I know I'll get flak for this, but the truth is, I've kept up with the game, but not enough to really form solid opinions. I've been super busy this week, in case you hadn't noticed, so I don't know what else to tell you.

And, actually, you know what? It's Day 1, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't have solid opinions. Sheesh.

Red, why do you say that you are willing to switch your vote to CS, but don't actually do it? Are you waiting for more people to vote before you do? Looking a bit scummy, especially if you have no guarantee that you can come on tomorrow/today (whichever it is for you).

because i found Kaths move of pressuring Mav about unvoting and then denying it at that point to have been more worth my vote than how CS was acting at the time, but i still wanted to apply pressure to him by pointing out his scummy actions, and the threat of a vote applys a great amount of pressure honestly; not to mention the rate at which he's gained votes yet the fact that alot of people agreed that Kath was a bit scummy but didn't vote for her gave me pause.

as for the "i might not be able to get nline" part. typically i don't get online at home during the weekand. i was planning to make time to get on (as i am on right now) but wasn't sure i'd be able too. as it is, this will probably be my last post until Monday

as it is, i've since revised my opinions about this. kat's still not off the hook but UNVOTE VOTE: CS for the defensiveness and the threats, not to mention the role fishing. at this point, you could flip either way. if your a townie, well then your telling the truth abotu being vanilla and right now your more of a distraction which the scum can use further in the game

BTW yes I know we shouldn't let the innocent die, but I have no idea how to do that and as I have no specialty whatsoever, I don't know what's the best way to do that. All I know is that the last game I played there was a random lynch day 1 because no one gathered enough votes and no one seems to be here either. Now the only thing I can do to help ensure that no one important dies is to make myself a target.

It doesn't seem to work so well, however.

1) Myself, i can say nothing from these reactions. What kind of information will we get when I flip vanilla?

2) i don't seem to take being targetted well. Actually I'd kind of pissed of that I'm being voted again (and just in my second game at that). I know it's only the game and I know I had it coming, but it still hurts like hell. I'm supposed to be a group oriented player too but now i don't feel like it.

3) Don't make me desperate.

1. the info we get is from who pushed your lynch and why; who egged you on and who defended you. as well as from teh reasons why people voted for you. i also agree that Alanna's vote is the most scummiest and sets her up for distancing if he does flip innocent

2. if you can't stand being targetted, then don't make yourself a target lol you like a dangerous play style, but dangerous play styles come with a darastic cost. your often lynched or NKd early or you make yourself a target *snuggles* as it is, don't be pissed. it's just a game, and there are always plenty of Mafia games to play here on DM. it takes a while to find a play style that works for you amnd even then your always tweaking it.

3. don't threaten people with a statment like "don't vote me or else" it makes you seem defensive and makes peopel more inclined to vote you to call your bluff.

CS why are you trying to bring up convo concerning the innocent? not to mention the question you ask is wierd in itself. i know this is your 2nd game and all, but why as town would we want to lynch the innocent? why would the thought even cross your mind?

i played another game like this, it was an Avatar game where Aang had the same type of win condition attached to his head. another player was trying to discuss on the game thread how we should treat Aang as far as voting for him and keeping him hidden from the scum as much as possible. basically what we could act like on thread concerning him to make sure he stayed un noticed.

as i said in that game, any discussion concerning Aang was no good, my stance remains the same concerning the innocent in this game.

for that comment, as well as the role fishing comment; i'm willing to switch my vote to you and keep a sharp eye on Kath.

In that case, I think the purpose of talking about the Avatar was to saturate the game thread with it and hope the mafia spent too much time sifting through it all and not enough time spent on just winning the old fashioned way.

but it could easily backfire as well. as it will help highlight players actions and allow for an easier time for the scum to analyze how people react to different players. in that game, had people started voting those who pressured the Avatar then it woudl be obvious; or if people ignored those who pressured the Avatar its just as noticable. plus it makes it all the more likely that the Avatar would have revealed themselves within the discussion becuase if he/she made a point about how people shoudl act concerning the Avatar on thread and people just went "yeah they're right" then that woudl also highlight them.

it's too easy to get trapped in your own WIFOM with that, which is why i was against it then, and am against it now.

Looking a bit scummy, especially if you have no guarantee that you can come on tomorrow/today (whichever it is for you). I'm not trying to distract people away from voting CS, indeed I'm going to VOTE CSARMI because of the question about roles. You can find the info on the Welcome to DM Mafia thread what roles might be included in an Advanced Mafia Game, and so shouldn't have to ask. I think he may have been rooting around for someone to accidently hint at their role, and use that for a NK.

I agree with Arlow here - Red, that is a bit suspicious.

FOS @ Verb. you've played enough games with me to knwo why i woudl say "i might not be on tomorrow to switch my vote" and using it to try and cast suspicon on me wreaks of subtle manuvering by you

you always ping me verb, but that moved you up my list *nods*

It seems like a lot has happened, but right now I'm a little "iffy" on the situation. I mentored in the Firefly game and was on the receiving end of CS's pranks (he claimed finder as doctor, and I was mentoring the finder), so yes he's a bold-in-your-face player. But I'm really just "meh" right now. He was playing very scummy to more experienced players, and rolefished, innocent fished, and was all around ... fishy? Ew. Aust pretty much said the same as me below, that's why I quoted it..

Alright, to a point Csarmi I can sympathize with you - standing out on day one can just automatically make you a target. Deciding though to make a play to try to spur some activity, you have to know that this will bring some heat on you and you have to be prepared to deal with that - so that means knowing where you want to go with whatever play you make.

Im willing to watch and see where you go wih this for a bit. I know from seeing you in another game you are pretty fearless when it comes to making bold plays. But if you're town you have to be careful not to become so much of a distraction that we don't gain any information from whatever it is you're doing.

I think Red gave the hammer, so we'll see what happens; speculation and voting will do nothing at this point.

I was hammered it seems. Okie then. I stay silent till we get results.

Just want to clarify something.

Verb: there has been a plan, but it included a false-reveal and I decided against it, as you can see.

Vote count:

Csarmi (7) – Song, Verbal, Arlow, Leelou, Kat, Alanna, Red

Aust (1) – AJ

Song (1) – Csarmi

Not voting – Aust, Mav, Player

With 12 alive you need 7 to lynch.

Deadline Friday 8 PM MST/ 5PM EDT

There was a bit of back and forth throughout the day. You knew that the Triad was disguised among you, but who could they be? Finally, many of you chose Csarmi, and decided he was one of the Triad. Using one of their many famous potions, the Charmed Ones vanquished him. Sadly for them, no illusion was penetrated when he died.

Csarmi, Victor Bennett, vanilla townie, was lynched

It is now night 1 until Monday 8 PM MST, or until all night actions are in. (Night is so long due to the weekend.)

AJ you and I share a brain sometimes lol.(Except when we clash, and then there are fireworks!! lol)

I really don't know where I sit with Csarmi. I was waiting to see how things played but I didn't get back in time. Personally I think he got in over his head - his distress sounded sincere and that gave me pause. I think that's why Verby stepped in too. But, I've been fooled by really emotional plays before, so I guess we wait and see.

Csarmi, no matter which way you flip I'll echo Verby and say that I hope you keep playing.
