[Advanced] Police Academy Game Thread - Game Over

Well, lets see how the night goes. With this many finders Mafia should be so easy to find...Or are they? Thinking about this having all the town as finders, who are we going to believe if anyone does find mafia, or have all the mafia got night kills...that would make sense in a game like this.

 

And why are surprised there are a lot of finders...we're all cops here, this is Police Academy and we all have guns, so I think this tongue in cheek remark might actually be more true than not!

The only thing to note is that in the Police there are no doctors!!!!!

That's exactly what I was thinking earlier, LOL!

 

But there's definitely something more to this, like there are probably different degrees of finders, false finders, etc. It's to be expected, I would think...

I think we either have to coordinate on who to view, or make sure we all view someone different. It all depends on the Night's Results. Since we're all in the open, I don't think it hurts to post all of our results. LMAO

Unvote - Still no internet at home, but I have enough friends with access that I can post often enough.

 

If the setup of this game is what I think it is, then there are at least five different cops: Regular cops, who play as normal; Paranoid cops, who always get a mafia result; Naïve cops, who never get a mafia result; Confused cops, who get mafia for town, and vice versa; and Insane cops, who get random results. Plus mafia, who can say whatever the heck they want.

 

Once everyone has sorted themselves out, the only two useful are Normal and Confused cops.

 

Does anyone protest the everyone's a cop theory? If so, speak up now, 'cause tomorrow we're gonna expect results. Thought about this, but I realized that anyone who's not a cop is likely a healer, in which case pretend that you're an insane cop, and give us a random result.

since there are so many finders out there. i think it's fair to say we should look at Neas lynch for possible scum. with so many of us having finder type roles; that should help narrow out the naive & paranoid ones if we have multiple people veiw the same person.

 

we need to be careful on this though, as this could lead to alot of confusion. another thing is you could ask Kiv what type of finder you are. then again, he's said he lies soemtimes and i have a feeling he wanted some fun out of our confusion on this "everyones a finder" bit as a mod, i think i'd be laughing my butt off as well. i wonder what he did to mess with the scum as well, to counter what he's done to us; maybe they only have a few on their team or something .... if our hands are restricted some how; i'd expect (for the sake of balance, seeing how much confusion this will bring) that the scum woudl be restricted as well.

 

 

 

No need to be snarky. I obviously only said that because at the time, it was clear to me you were lying and I felt I couldn't say so outright. By now, it's clear this isn't a normal game with only one finder. If it was, far more people would have believed you.

 

Also, the three of you are not confirmed finders. You are claimed finders.

 

For now, I will UNVOTE, VOTE NAE because I also found it odd that she questioned so many people revealing finder. Seems she is not one, which doesn't make her mafia, but it's a better chance than anyone else so far.

i agree with most you had posted in there. but i think Kiv included the bit about "fake reveals" to make sure we didn't know if MCS was scum or not. atm i'm inclined to think MCS is more likely town; which means with Nea's death we're actually down by 2

what i find odd is that you hammered her without giving her the chance to explain herself. i thought you were part of the crowd that believed in letting people at L-1 a chance to post before hammering them; especially with the deadline still roughly a day away ... another of the votes on Nae worth noting imo.

actually Talya, you make alot of sense. i'm also not suprised so many of us got called finders in our PM's. after all Finders in this game are also known as "Cops" someone said Kiv might be being a Bastard Mod in this game, i have to agree though i can't say it wont make for a fun game for all of us lmao makes us not rely on finders and play good ol' fashion scum hunting on thread.

 

i also agree that there are likley multiple types of finders. character finders, naive, paranoid, role finders, day finders, 50% finders ... theres a good selection of different types of finders to choose from.

 

 

as for healers ... what about a jailer type finder, or paranoid finder. one that "locks you up" when they target you. that would sort of work as a healer.

Good morning. So my recommendation is this: The next game night (since this one is basically over, its somewhat late) all the finders should target the same person. By doing this for a few game nights we can possibly weed out which ones are obviously only getting one result no matter what, and with a test-lynch we can possibly figure out which ones get opposite results, and which ones get real ones.

 

This of course can't account for the percentage cops, but it'll give us something to go on.

Welcome, Barm. Small problem with that idea - if we all state our target, aren't we just giving the mafia a nice target to NK and suppress that info? The coroner report will state town/mafia, but none of us will know our Cop-type, if there are different ones.

Okay, Player, you are either lying or a paranoid cop. Unless Kivam was lying to me, I asked him and he said I came out as Town. I also asked about my role and there didn't seem to be anything wrong with it, no sane, insane, but a normal basic kinda cop. And this I did the time i got my role before anything else was even mentioned.

 

I'm intrigued Lily why didn't you say who was town, we need all the info we can get. The mafia will know who is town anyway! And unless you are a normal cop it may be wrong anyway! I actually viewed you last night and you turned up Mafia

As for Barm's idea, I can see what he is saying, it would give us all a chance to see what kind of cop we are. however what it doesn't do is allow us to find out scum and they could easily hide and say they were a paranoid cop etc.
