Depends... the early episodes are sometimes only on VHS, if they even still exist. Series #4 exists only in an audio format with periodic still shots, and the transformation of Doctor #1 to #2 was destroyed a long time ago.

Jea, Celery Doctor was the one in the 70s who always wore a piece of celery pinned to his lapel. He interacted with Tennant's doctor in a 10-15 minute feature between seasons. It takes place 10-15 minute before the Titanic episode began. (It ends with the Titanic hitting the TARDIS.)

Is it on Netflix or Hulu+? cause that's all i got for watching tv lol.

It's on Netflix! All but the current season (which just started like last week or the week before I think). But it has the doctors played by Eccleston, Tennant and Smith but I'm not sure it has the older shows that they've started adding in.

It isn't imperative to have seen the old ones, but there are a ton of references that make the show that much better. It also makes some obvious references (celery doctor and Sarah Jane) a little bit more fun as well, or when he talks about how he was a crusty old man once-- the first doctor. (None of the other actors maintained their contract long enough to get old!)

Depends on which ones. In the early days, film was valuable and there wasn't a market for reruns yet, especially for some obscure kids educational show, so film was routinely recycled. Almost all available old episodes came from individuals who had snagged a reel.

I'll also add that the original Daleks... not very intimidating by today's standards!

Mother's milk in a cup, isn't there anything else on TV?

James T. Kirk would wipe the floor with the Doctor.

Basel, the combined forces of Dr Who and Star Wars will wipe the floor with you. Either one could do it alone but we probably need both groups to take on the Trekkie fanboys. You know what? I'm going to start a thread on that very topic.

LOL CELERY DR!!!!!!!

Peter Davison...David Tennant's favourite Dr, makes sense for him to turn up, and also explains all those lines in that little episode about Peter davison being 'my doctor' and all that.

I need to track down the old episodes. I've seen intermittent old movie ones that I've found in the video shop (only ones with real Doctors in them, of course) and then there's the few Tom Baker episodes I watched with my Mum when they re-ran them on ABC when I was little...
