I actually have to 100% agree with Wombat here, and the proportions of this are huge, and prolly just royally screwed over the town.

I will say this, you could have easily avoided this by not attempting to half reveal. You have been playing long enough to know what that would turn into and I can't help but feel that by how kinda outrageous your claim is that you almost wanted us to be led down this path.

Your attitude and defensiveness seems off to me in those last two posts. It went from, "dude you aren't going to get me to reveal" to --- "Lets tell everything oh and by the way you are screwed either way"

When you fully revealed, I considered changing my mind about voting for you. Then you said your partner is Finder. Not only is it an incredibly scummy maneuver, it eliminates your partner from revealing in a last-ditch scenario which a Townie would definitely consider.

I am going to unvote and vote Song.

Right now I am inclined to think that this was something you were almost hoping for, not to mention that even if you are town, you honestly aren't any help to them if you were willing to spill that much on your fellow masons

I have nothing to say that hasn't already been said, Song. Major boo-boo on your part, regardless of alignment.

Really? My partner told me to tell you guys that, also I'm not nk-able only lynchable. I'm actually not town, I'm neutral, I never said I was town. We are part of the Cidwyr Collective. But I can't believe you guys are going to kill us both off. I'm atually quite pissed right now so that's all I'm going to say. I've been waiting for this game forever, and just because wombat jumps on me for no reason you guys follow his lead. I'm telling the effing truth and you ask for a full reveal when it's scummy to give a half reveal, and then I give you one and now all of a sudden it'a too much? Screw you guys.

P.S. To whoever the finder actually is,

Please do not view me as I am innocent but read as guilty.

what was that all about Womby?? care to explain on that?

as to the Song situation. first off what you discribe is a lover/sibling relationship; why you wold mess up and call it a mason relationship is beyond me. you've been in enough games to know the difference. another thing is if you had to talk to your partner first before you addressed us, why isn't your partner defending you?? this seems odd and a reach by scum to scare votes off their lynch. especially the off handed way you say "oh btw i'm attached to the finder". so not only do you have the threat of lynch me lose another townie, but also now you want us to think your tied to the finder.

honestly, i've never seen a mod attach an important role like a finder to another player unless that finder is limited some how or theres a back up. the findr role is just too important to put it at risk like that, and the potential balance issues are way too great.

Song, you're a LLL.

I figured that if Song was telling the truth or if we have a noob finder that I would get viewed tonight and I didn't want to have to miller claim after a guilty viewing. Furthermore, I really don't want a finder wasting a viewing on me when it could be used on scum.

And Song, mason implies town. If you really were neutral, I agree with Red that you should/would have said lover.

I believe that's the lynch, correct me if I'm wrong. I wont vote just to have my vote there.

Song, it's not What you said, but HOW you said it, unfortunately. If you're town, your emotions got the better of you, if mafia, well.. you showed your true colors. At this moment I'm leaning toward the latter.

The Pact

“Truth is only accepted Lies.”

21 Summer, 1290 SR

The Asteri ship was true to the tales, dwarfing even the Arlantin Whirlwind that was docked for supplies. The pennant that perched atop the Whirlwinds foremast revealed the Noble who was aboard. In the pre-light, Dallar could not make it out. It didn’t matter, he supposed. One Noble was as bad as the next. Besides, he had a voyage to prepare.

If he hadn’t been suspicious of the chances that an Asteri ship had been where and when he had needed it, he may have been entranced, as most were, at the marvel before him. The ship had three decks and five masts, of which the center one was twice the width of the other already massive masts. Its wood was blood red. Dallar could not decide if the color was paint, or the natural hue of the wood. If natural, it was from no tree that he had ever heard of, let alone seen. Scrawled along the port side, in a black substance that could have been faded paint or charcoal, the name t’Grasea’avinifer seemed to dance.

All of this was forced to his subconscious ponderings; his conscious mind was busy trying to keep her alive. He kept his eyes cast upward at one of the legendary Asteri ships, having to force himself not to look at Anamira Cirindol. The stubborn woman would get them all killed.

“It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” Her voice was rich with wonder.

Dallar made his way up the gangplank without answering. The plank was lined with boards for stable footing on the incline. A shuffle followed by a steady thud let Dallar know that the Purveyor had followed. As he boarded the ship, he was immediately accosted by the sight of scurring Asteri. Their blue fur was laid bare save for skirts as meager signs of public decency. They also had various items woven into their thick mane, supposedly depicting clan and rank, and noticeable achievements. They were a hasty bunch, moving and completing tasks at greater speed then a man could maintain. Dallar had heard that the reason behind their speed was linked to their shorter lifespans then humans. Just as Vadapakians were larger and longer lived than humans, they were slower in their activities. It was natural, but nevertheless curious.

One Asterit approached, baring teeth in that maybe-smile of theirs. “I am called Alin. Follow me to Alfa Cleagolifer.” Dallar eyed Anamira and she rolled her eyes at him before gliding behind Alin. They climbed the steps to the second deck and approached a large cabin. A quick scrape and Alin opened the door.

Cleagolifer was a very large and very dark Asterit. Dallar had not known Asteri to be any color other than blue, but this Alfa could have almost passed for black. His claws rested on the table between them, three inch claws gleaming in the firelight. Three inches long while being retracted.

“You be the one who paid the Price.” The Alfa said, red eyes studying Anamira. Those eyes turned to Dallar and red eyes met red eyes. “You…” He trailed off. “You are Dallar Aunoll. The one named Deserter. Your red eyes mark you.”

Dallar looked away. One of the good things about the war had been that soldiers didn’t care what color your eyes were as long as you kept them alive.

The flames threatened to sear his flesh. Emar smiled, blood frothing as he charged. The arrow pierced his heart and he crumpled. “For the next King of Arlantin!” the soldiers yelled as they began to butcher.

Dallar stepped backward, hands clasping his head. He had drunk all his challan and spent all his coin. He was falling back into the shadows of memory. Into…

“Dallar?”

He looked at Anamira, whose visage of concern was enough to make him want to hug her. Or beat her over the head and carry her limp body off this ship and away from the damned quest.

Instead, he walked to the table and slammed his fist upon it. The Alfa did not even blink. “What is the Pact? Word for word.”

“By the Seasister we swear to take you to your destination, wherever it might be. By the Sunbrother we swear to keep no secrets from you. By the Windsister we swear to travel as swiftly as we can. By the Earthmother we swear to protect you with our lives if necessary. By the Moonfather we swear that this Pact is true.”

Dallar looked at the Asterit in the eyes, searching. “Do you have any other Pacts that may conflict with ours?”

Suddenly the Alfa was on his feet, looming over the two humans. The room seemed to have darkened dangerously. “What have we Asteri done to deserve such insults? Asteri never agree to a Pact if Pacts will conflict.” He slammed his fisted paw down on the table and the two humans jumped as the table splintered in half. “And we always keep our Pacts. This meeting is over.”

They were ushered out by Alin who looked at them angry. “Humans, never trusting, never changing.”

* * * * * * * *

Dallar leaned on the rail of the starboard side of the great Asteri ship. Taking a slight swig of challan he glanced over at Aejoc. The Cidwyr. Never very helpful and always in the way. Their entire culture was based on the collection of knowledge. Any kind of knowledge was accepted. Truths. Lies. Maddness-induced ramblings. Books were their passion. Why did I let them join the voyage? He demanded of the challan. Because, he answered for it, they offered you their supply of challan, which now lies stored in your cabin.

The Cidwyr were a bird-like race. Much like the Asteri were a lupine-like race. They claimed to be descendants of wolves, whatever they had been. Cidwyr claimed to not know what kind of fowl they may have descended from. Or ascended, depending on how you looked at it, he supposed. Mostly white feathers framed their almost human eyes above their sharp hooked beaks. A curious species.

The journey had begun at first light, as planned, they had made good distance if the sun and distant shore was any indication. They were sailing northward toward Sidhe. The Asteri claimed they would pass the port city by noon the next day. Dallar had his reservations about that, but he was open to the possibility.

The sun was nearing the southern horizon. Night would be upon them soon. Deciding to retire for the night, Dallar turned from the rail. He noticed Aejani, leaning over the portside rail. The Cidwyr were not fighters or sailors, but you had to give them marks for braving the Tiraceas Sea.

Suddenly the t’Grasea’avinifer lurched and Dallar stumbled, spilling his drink across the deck. Casting a few choice oaths, Dallar righted himself. His gaze went back to the Cidwyr, Aejoc who was on his knees, wingarms gripping his throat. Something was not right. Dallar just could not place what. The challan swam in his ears. Finally, Dallar noticed that Aejani was no longer hunched over the railing. Staggering across the deck, he peered into the sea. The rolling waves revealed nothing of the body that had plummeted into its depths. Looking back at Aejoc, he found the Cidwyr collapsed on the deck, struggling ceased. His bird-claw foot twitched once.

(Song) Aejani, Reasearcher of the Cidwyr Collective and Intertwined with Aejoc has been Lynched

(Naeann) Aejoc, Finder of the Cidwyr Collective and Intertwined with Aejani has died as a result of (Song’s) Aejani’s death.

Dallar stood for a moment, contemplating what just happened. Everyone else swam in his vision and he did not see their utter shock. Stumbling to his room, he knocked open the door and somehow managed to kick it back shut. Somehow he made it to his bed. He lay there for minutes, looking at the shadows dancing on the ceiling.

“Curious.” He whispered before sleep took him.

WOW!!!! I'm a bit gob smacked to be honest. I'm not sure I get the voting AFTER all the reveal she did. She didn't go about it in the best way, but it seems people rushed out there to put the votes on her! Some people were certainly scared of her being a finder (or her partner plus her role!)

Posted

Yeah I didn't expect that lynch to happen. Otherwise I woulda kept my miller business to myself. That being said, I'm not ashamed of my vote on Song. She really blew that reveal.

Posted

hmmmmmmm. yeah, wow. thats a lot to sink in at once.

What the hell happened. Sure it was a hasty, rage filled reveal, but you never, ever, ever lynch a finder claim. NEVER....That was blood lust, frenzied voting.

Posted

Led, she didn't claim finder, she claimed her partner was finder and that they had a mason link (though the relationship was more like a lovers bond)

it sucks she was telling the truth, but in all honesty it sounded like scum trying to scare off votes. your comment pings me.
