I dont think you can vote someone is a werewolf based on them not being here. But then again could it be a scam???

I will not vote yet as I cannot see anything that really stands out as sus, but it is early in the game isnt it.

we use it to avoid the term pot. especially me since the term pot makes me think of the pot theme song. i would show you what i am talking about, but i can't remember the real name of the song. sounds alot like the beach boys.

Hmm, there's two ways this could play out.

 

Either we catch a werewolf, thus placing anyone who votes for them almost above suspicion, giving us something to work with in future lynchings ...

 

Or we lynch one of our own by mistake, which, apart from being sad and embarressing, immediately places anyone who pushed for their death under suspicion.

 

Thus I find myself up to my knees in a lack of evidence or even gnawing suspicion, and facing two possibilities, one that will enshrine and protect me and one that might just condemn me. Isn't round one refreshing?

 

The ultimate truth to this though, is that a lynching must go ahead. Therefore, I vote for goldy because I have an aversion to politicians and he just declared himself mayor, which sounds suspiciously political to me. *nodses*

yeah, watch what you say how you say when you say... no wonder people are making themselves scarce. personally, i thought it was just a poor usage of language given the atmosphere. but maybe it was a real slip. *shrugs* if a hat is good for our game organiser lady... i'll stick with goldy this round.

It's nothing personal, goldy.

Look at it like this: the sun will not set until we lynch someone. The sun not setting regularly has enormous ecological implications and could have a tremendous impact on our livelihoods and lifestyles. No good night sleep, for one thing, and who knows what sort of chaos it would throw the rythms of nature (which we as simple village folk so depend upon) into.

In short, these lynchings are more than just mob-dictated and superstition-fuelled murder trials with slim chance of actually finding an appropriate target: they are essential to the public good. By dying you are doing a public service. Does that make you feel better?

Okay, you seem to keep mentioning my "slip". Let me point out, it's back on page 5 that happened. Danya posted: "Maybe they're all at work or something" to which I replied "Or maybe they're just waiting until they see something suspicious" Once again, I was not the first person to use the pronoun 'they' rather than 'we'. And for Danya, who was the first one to use that term to point out me as suspicious for using it, sounds pretty suspicious to me, in and of itself. But, I think I will go with my original feelings and vote for Goldy this round anyway. I mean, who declares themselves an elected official, with no election held?

for the record, back in game 1, i was acting gregarious. i didn't get the memo where friendly became suspicious. 8)

nothing personal, mr. mayor. the first day is always a bit of a crapshoot, i think, and i knew i was going to be away for at least a day (shopping for my suit, don't you know), and didn't want to get mod-ified in my absense. i didn't think people would jump on the bandwagon so heartily.... i sorta feel bad now... ah well... better get the rope.

The day has been long and tiring. The knowledge that there are werewolves among them makes the villagers suspicious and they are quick to accuse the first person they see. Eventually they decide that goldeneys is a werewolf, or maybe they just aren't happy with the way he proclaimed himself mayor of the village. In any case, when they hang him he dies too quickly. Turns out he was a villager after all.
