I still love ASOIAF but that did put me off a bit. I mean, there was the whole Robb storyline, and then he just dies. It was kinda pointless, apart from building suspense and reiterating the fact that anyone can die.

 

As for angry, Ill add a few more to my list.

 

Moiraine dies before the final chapters in AMOL.

Nobody dies.

Forsaken dont put up a fight.

Caemlyn is left untouched. (It should burn to the ground.)

Yeah Red Wedding was about slaughtering abunch of Light Side characters. To make it WoT appropriate I think the Shaido needed a Dumai's Wells Part 2.

 

I don't think we have much to worry about though I trust Brandon's judgement and if he says it was satisfing then I'll believe him.

i agree with the first point. the seanchan needs to learn their prophecy is flawed, their way of thinking is outdated in randland and they should stop this "holier than thou" attitude. cultures that make slaves or pets of ppl grrrr

I've put a lot of thought into this, and I decided I would be furious if I don't finally succeed in my efforts to reverse engineer that lightning-storm-weave Rand used in the Stone of Tear, so that I could punish Elayne-haters everywhere once and for all. Ah, that would be the day.

Caddy has her faults, yes, but she was crucial in the events that unfolded. I'd like to see any of us remaining humble and whatnot after having fought the Shadow for over 3 centuries. See how much patience and understanding and indulgence we'd have after 300 years. We're already jumping to judgement and conclusions after (at best) a few decades.

 

By the same token, can 'the one' who is supposed to be the only 'one' who can defeat the DO can remain humble? yet expects him to be humble and she treats as if he's her appretice.

there is a world of difference between 'humble' and 'polite', my friend. You don't see her act that way with the Wise Ones. Or Rhuarc, for that matter (to add in a male, just in case you go 'but Rand's a man!! it's different with women!!'). Why? Because they act like mature grown ups and not spoiled brats throwing tantrum fits when things don't work their way. Which can be cute and crack a smile on your face, when the kid is an innocent little 5 year old. But when the kid is a fuming, flaring young adult with the power to destroy the world, it's suddenly a lot less cute and adorable.

Heres what would seriously piss me off:

Prologue to AMOL involves Tinkers finding the song and the rest of the book details the world blooming anew in peace and prosperity.

 

Ogier not doing anything relevant after the big deal with Loial and the Great Stump (theres nothing i like more than Ogier cleaving shadowspawn with man-sized weapons)

 

Something that would be hilarious (but ultimately piss me off):

Mat literaly dicing the dark one for the fate of the world.
