[DPR Mafia] Suras 4 - Mafia wins!

Now this is interesting. I also saw Red as highly suspicious, in fact i was almost sure she was Mafia considering her defence of Adella/attack on Lily etc. However, when i viewed her last night, i got a reading of Beva Perrada.

I'm curious about this.  I understand that viewing someone gives the faction.  I am not aware of any faction called Beva Perrada.  There is a character (NPC?) called the Beva Perrada, but no faction.  (Unless I'm mistaken and then facepalm and nothing to see here.  ;))

Dae, can you explain this?  Or, has anyone else received an viewing result of Beva Perrada?

[glow=red,2,300]unvote[/glow] and vote [glow=red,2,300]aemon[/glow]

That just made ALys look a lot more innocent in my book

Really? Because his teamate was just killed and it plainly said TOWN in the death post. Care to explain?

The giving up the stone just seemed weird. Remember groups may have infiltrators in them.

I've only been skimming along lately because RL has been a rush and I have had a router from hell.

Posted

Pete- What Lia said.

Everyone else- How does this make Alys look more innocent? Why in the world would DPR tell Alys what the stone does? She did not want it to get into play for 2 reasons...1) If turned out bad (as it did) she could say "I told you not to use it. I'm a good townie). 2) She certainly did not want anyone to get a beneficial power since she has already been identified as Bonda.

I can tell you that Wombats roleblocking power came from a godstone. I believe there are more godstone powers out there and I hope they are used wisely. For those of you thinking I am scum for what happened, I want to remind you that in Wes' original Call and Response post it states that I had no idea what the stone would do. Also, please read the scene. This is not the way a scum would react to the death of an innocent and a teammate.

My vote stays on Alys and tomorrow on Red. I think there is a framer out there and they are playing us. I trust my reading on Red because it was a day 1 viewing and there would have been no reason to frame her.

As for Alys making sense...not so much. She refused and refused to say which faction she was in until someone let slip the minister's men. I don't trust her at all.

Posted

Who let slip the Minister's men?  I was watching but didn't see it.  If someone did I'd like to see the post.

(Other than someone (Aust?) suggesting we use that instead of Beva Perrada ages ago but the context was different.)

MOD NOTE: Once you are dead, you are dead. In this game, that means no more communication with the living of any sort. But don't worry, the Ghosts of Suras will tell you where to gather.

I also find it odd that Red doesn't know her faction, Lily.  Maybe her faction is "Uber Evil Amber Liquid Drinking Manipulating Baddies" and she can't think of a good fake claim.  Then again, how hard is it to claim Captain?  Maybe she doesn't know her faction =S

Wombat, why would you find that weird.  You’ve played in enough games to know my views on fake role claims, that applies to faction claims in this game.  It’s just too risky to fake claim anything because you can be outed so easily.

Yeah I'm very disconcerted that this whole thing is going to come down to a WIFOM at the end.  It's like no matter what, we are going to be at LyLo with two people claiming cop.

The win condition is for us to vote for the right man, the town Candidate.  One is poisoned, the other isn’t.  I think Barm had it right, there will be one faction trying to swing our votes for one candidate; we just have to be able to sort out the WIFOM with the clues Wes gives us.  Of which I’m about to do because I disagree 100% with Alys.

And as for the vote, I'm going to go with Alys for now. Like Lavinya said, if there is compelling reason not to vote for her, I'd like to see it clearly and simply stated (please no more pages of walls of text!!! LOL!)

Jeran summed it up nicely

Specifically:

Barm says Alys is Bonda : Alys says she is a Minister's Man

Daetirion says Red is Beva : Aemon says Red is Bonda : Red says she doesn't know her faction

and yet you ignore the fact that i was messed with on Night 1.

i used both my view and protection that night aemon.  i viewed Pete and healed myself.

Pete's viewing came back (paraphrased) "you can't make it out, something is in your way and everything appears cloudy".

i asked why, Wes said "blame it on the Bonestone"

now we find out someone you say is a teammate whom you inadvertently killed was also a role blocker.  did he happen to role block me the night you viewed me?  and don't you think that maybe since you targeted me (and i'm supposing your role blocker as well) that a framer might have too.

i think theres plenty of reason to frame me coming from a scums POV.  i'm picking apart the game set up (i started Day 1 FYI) maybe i'm getting a bit to close to home for the scum and an obvious NK on me would have drawn more attention to it.  so let Red dig herself in with large posts and we'll frame her and have a good laugh since our buddy Adella is likely to be caught.  maybe frame a few more big players to see how long the town catches on that their doing our dirty work for us.

i think someone mentioned before that they had a lynch led on them for getting too close on figuring out the game mechanics.  and yet you ignore the logical side of the discussion and only see what you want.

go ahead and lynch me, cause when i flip town like i know i will i'll enjoy watching them put the noose tightly around your Aemon, but until then i'm not going to back down from you you scummy LLL.

So here's the deal: somewhere along the way, it became alright for dead players to still communicate and help their team.

This is not the case in this game - when you die, you get invited to a Dead Thread where you learn the full setup  and game mechanics, so obviously, you can't go back to your peeps with the 411.

I'd even post the link on this thread, because i trust you all. But the temptation would just be too cruel, and the wifom would be endless, so you have to die to get the link.

When you are dead, stay dead.

i asked why, Wes said "blame it on the Bonestone"

I said to "Blame it on the bossa nova with its magic spell, Blame it on the bossa nova that he did so well". And it was in a completely different context...

Alys claims in this post a few things that I disagree with; I’m getting them out now because it will be to late when Aemon has one of his teammates kill me off, and I’m sure he’s one that doesn’t want you guys thinking in a logical sense.

. he doesn't have to poison both glasses because he wants you to do that for him.

Yet Wes plainly states in the rule that one Candidate is scum.  The game started with one glass being poison.

complexity to mask simplicity

Yet there hasn’t been anything simple about this game.  There are multiple factions; some coming forth now that aren’t even listed in the scenes.  The Manipulators who prefer amber shaded liquids, and shows us that Raisa’s captain set her up.

he set it up to appear hard, only it's not. because he tells you what must be done.

It’s not an appearance; we’re getting exactly what we perceive. You just have to take off the beer goggles and see things clearly ;)   he’s not telling us what must be done, he’s dropping us bread crumbs and leaving us to decide for ourselves, there’s a difference.

the story, the mod descriptions told me mine wine was not poisoned. i'll drink it then. beva is the minister's man.

See I’m gleaming something different from the story, it was bugging me and until your post I hadn’t been able to put my finger on it.  So I went back and reviewed a bit.

Imo the evidence is pointing the other way.  And here’s what I see which leads me to this conclusion

1.Ministers man was pulled form no-where; we know nothing about him.

2.We don’t know the motives of the Minister, only that he was ready for an attempt to over-throw him.

3.The Bova’s motivations are clear, and something I can actually sympathize with

  • oppressive government
  • broken, no spine leader
  • setting up a fellow captain, whose respected on both sides, for political gain.

4.The fact that more black hearts are surrounding the Bova.

The last one is what keeps nagging at me, and I can’t help but be reminded of the saying ”Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.”

If you disagree with Alys so much and believe she is lying, why do you have your vote on me? I'll tell you why: it's because you and Alys are scum buddies. You and Alys have been bombarding us with walls of texts and agreeing with each other the entire game. Now you say you disagree with her and place your vote on me while trying to claim that I knew what would happen to Wombat. Either you are simply not reading Wes' posts or you are trying to distract us from lynching Alys. I believe it is the latter. Unfortunately, I can't get rid of you tonight because I already tried, but I'll be here (hopefully) to vote for you tomorrow.

Posted

Red, can you please tell me where it says there are more Black Hearts surrounding the Bova Candidate.

To put things in perspective.

I'm going to use the term Alignment for this, to make it easier. Alignment will mean, who you support.

There are three Alignments:

Bova supporter

Undecided

Beva Supporter

Then there seems to be factions with those alignments. There may well be quite a few factions out there. eg Captains, Beva's, Bova's (Bonda), Witches, etc.

There are spies and they could be planted in any of the factions!

Now all we have to do is find a mafia, see which way he pushes the vote and go with the opposite ;) Simples!

No matter what the set up it will come down to the vote in the end, what we have to do is try and work out from info given which of the two candiates is Mafia.

As for Beva Peradda supporters, they may not be the same as Minister's Men. If I was reading Alys right! Those could the ones that are supportive of the Minister rather than his chosen guy! But I may have misread that!

This is getting more outrageous and convoluted as time goes by. I still feel Alys is our best lynch candidate, and to that end my vote stays where it is.

Posted

Jeran, in answer to your question, i can only guess re. Beva Perrada. The PM was very unambiguous. Therefore i was left with the 4 options previously discussed. As the reading was so straightforward, i would presume there was no roleblock (as we have seen elsewhere) but there may well have been intercept etc.

Could someone please explain the lynch on Aemon? He claims he is a Witch (ie Mason) who wins with town. His teammate (Wombat) confirms this. Wombat then dies, revealing both his faction and win condition (ie town). His teammate also has some useful powers.

Yes it's not 100% confirmation of innocence, but he's a lot further down the suspicion list now for myself. What is the reasoning?

Posted

If you disagree with Alys so much and believe she is lying, why do you have your vote on me?

because given that there is conflicting findings on my faction; it lends more credability to Alys's claim that Barms veiwing was false.  no one veiwed her last night to confirm Barm's accusations, even though we all agreed she should be veiwed again.

I'll tell you why: it's because you and Alys are scum buddies.

wow, thats rich.  so i suppose your saying that we both have the ability know when were being veiwed and change our faction; since thats what all the fuss is about.

yeah you caught us, Wes sends us a PM and says "hey, you're being veiwed, want to change your faction?"  /sarcasim.  ::)  sound rediculous, it should.

why not just point the FOS at everyone else whose voted for you as well while you're at it, by your logic we all must be on the same team because we find the thing with the stone scummy; of course, i find other reasons to find you scummy Aemon and your reactions are only confirming it for me.

You and Alys have been bombarding us with walls of texts and agreeing with each other the entire game.

no, i've been using alot of text; i've admitted this.  but it's all about trying to disect the game mechanics and honestly its done alot more good for understanding the game than you have.  all you've done is out your mason team, and present us with another veiwing which is being disputed.

oh but let me beat you to the punch, by your logic Dea must also be a scum buddy!  gee thats what 12 scum now if you include the Mafia we've already got, and those that have voted to lynch you.

Now you say you disagree with her and place your vote on me while trying to claim that I knew what would happen to Wombat.

never claimed i knew you knew what would happen to Wombat, what happpened to him in the scene is just icing on the cake.  i found it wierd that you wuold give up the stone in the first place; i even asked you before the scene "Why not just keep it or give it to yourself if you can?"

we also know that there are Manipulators spred among the different groups; ive cited examples from Wes's story to support this and many people agree its rather obvious.  even you agree with this since your reasoning for choosing WOmbat because you thought him most likely not to be a spy if there is one in your group.

in the scene Wombat didn't seem all that thrilled to be given the stone btw; whose to say you didn't know what it was, if you didn't know what the stone did, did you even ask Wes about it before giving it to a fellow teammate.

i also find you scummy because you refuse to listen to reason and you ignore everything!  someone has directly countered your resluts, you don't even respond to them.  i've asked you questions directly, and have yet to recieve an answer.  you agree that there is a 3rd party playing us all like violins, yet ignore the fact that i was messed with the first night! this is my main reason for pointing the FOS back at you and returning your vote on me with one of my own on you.

Either you are simply not reading Wes' posts or you are trying to distract us from lynching Alys. I believe it is the latter. Unfortunately, I can't get rid of you tonight because I already tried, but I'll be here (hopefully) to vote for you tomorrow.

how can i disect the scenes and figure out the game mechanics (like i've been doing) without reading the scenes.  up until now, i've even been providing quotes; but now that i believe you're scum i'm going to concentrate my efforts on you instead and leave the game mechanics for later.

yeah, you mght not have your VK left but i'm guessing your asking that your teammate use her VK on me.  me, i'm not going to waste my VK on you, i'm confident that your days in this game are numbered Scummy McScumster.  so go ahead, kill me off; i'm fine with dieing because i know my death will secure another scum.

I was wondering before about this, but your post reminds me.  Why would you do this?  Seems a little early, no?  Granted, it might have done you some good, but my question is - What made you think you needed to protect yourself on Night 1 of a large game?

We do?  You're now speaking for the entire town?  Interesting, because I don't find that situation "scummy"....I actually think it moves Aemon down my list for now.

Is Mynd hacking your account?  This really is starting to look like a frame-job, btw.  Lynch Aemon and then if he flips town you say "Well, I did say he was super scummy, ya know..."  Just my thoughts here.

i also find you scummy because you refuse to listen to reason and you ignore everything!  someone has directly countered your resluts, you don't even respond to them.

I HATE when people do that to me..... ;D

the fact that there are so many VK's and that the scum have them as well.  Wes promised a blood bath but didn't say when, i wanted to make sure i made it to Day 2 by protecting myself.  it felt like the right choice at the time and i still don't regret it.

We do?  You're now speaking for the entire town?  Interesting, because I don't find that situation "scummy"....I actually think it moves Aemon down my list for now.

no, i was being sarcastic.  he's saying that me and Alys are on a team together mostly because we're both voting for him.  i'm pointing out that assuming that because were voting for them is a ridiculously weak move imo by using snarky over-daramatic sarcasim

hey, i'm only giving hima dose of his own medicine.  he says  "i hope i'm here in the morning to vote for you since i can't VK you" implying that if he dies over night it will be my fault.

as to the Mynd thing lol not that i know of

that wa a typo and i apologize for that Aemon.  i tend to have alot of those when i'm not using Opera.  i have IE at work (which is where i am now) and Opera at home.  my spelling sucks, both in Mafia and out ;)

Posted

I think my brain is going to explode.  This going round in circles hurts.

Barm, can you explain again for my benefit why you've gone exclaiming loudly that Alys is lying, to removing your vote?

Because of the Aemon situation. It is precisely where the Alys situation could be if anyone had viewed her last night, and if I am somehow wrong, Alys is amazing for the town. But, primarily, Aemon, who appears innocent, has gotten a guilty result on Red, and Dae, who I think is innocent, has gotten an innocent result on Red. Also, Alys has directly backed up what Dae has had to say thusfar, so from my perspective, figuring out Red will go a long way towards figuring out Alys.

With that, I think one of the best options we have right now is to lynch Red. If she flips innocent, there are a lot of points for both Alys and Dae, but if she flips scum, Alys is likely to be pegged right there.

[glow=red,2,300]Vote: Red2111[/glow]

Oh and, Red, read Verbal's response to your typo again, he wasn't pointing out that you made a typo...

Posted

???  i'm confused about the Verbal bit then.

Dea has countered Aemons results.  the only part of it i see thats bad is the typo, something i make alot.

if he wasn't pointing out my typo, then what was it for then?  :-[

I'm still rereading and note-taking, but Barm brings up some good points re: Red.

I've actually been considering a Red vote for some time, but for a different reason.  I find it very interesting that Red claims she is town but was not informed of her faction.  I was specifically told my faction and my alignment.  I find it hard to believe that she was not, and I notice that Wombat wondered at the same before he died.  (Don't feel like finding the quotes right now, but I can if necessary).  That combined with Barm's points makes me think that Red's the best option right now.

The typo spells something funny.  Especially if you're Verbal (and me if I'm being honest  ;)).

;D  Guilty.
