As well as a lot of the people on this list, I've always found Talya to be a ridiculously good player. I often find myself thinking at the start of games, 'ok, she can't be mafia again, oh look, she's helping the town - she must be one of us!' And then, bam,the game's over and she was a member of a cult...  :P

Nothing against Sira, because I've never met her, but I really don't like it when one player shines above the rest. This game really is about teamwork. Maybe I've been scum too often lately to remember what it's like to be a townie on your own (okay, yeah, I have) but that's how I see it right now.

 

Another thing I've noticed and wondered about was why the older players are so willing to teach what they know, and then one day it hit me! I do the same thing with those who are newer than me because we get more fun from playing with people who challenge us! Inventing new ways to put one over on people or spot those who are is fun! Feeling the noose tighten around your neck and then wiggling out of it is outrageous! Catching someone in a carefully orchestrated lie is, too.

That's just it, Lilly. I wouldn't say she was a show stealer. She was like the best parts of DPR and Kivam rolled into one and add super analytical statistician.

And, Alys is too kind...top 3 are Sira, Kivs, and then Alys herself.  If she had time to play more, her analysis would be feared among the new gen like the plague. :D

But you have a point Lily... because even the great Sira can be had.  One of my warders, Daetirion, was a one time vig shot in a game and took her out when she was mafia... she was laying low and getting ready to strike and he had heard the rumors about her so he picked her.  I think that was the game where Sira, Kivs, AND DPR were all mafia together.

Nae, that was Day 1, I think.  That was an unbelievably lucky shot.  I like Dae, and he's good, but that was a metagaming guess, and big game hunting to boot, and it paid off.

 

I remember that game, because it was my first game as a symp.  I was pissed that she died so early!!!

 

 

Speaking of Sirayn, who's close enough to her to chat her up and get her to come back for a game or twelve?  ;D
