Frustrating moments in gaming

I was playing The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap the other day, a friend is letting me borrow it, never played it before, and I was doing the cuckos mini-game:5 cuckos in 50 seconds. I threw the last cucko in at the last second but it hit the ground like literaly 5 MILI-seconds after the time limit. The game didn't count it...and it happened twice like that.

The Firefight thing that I talked about in the Halo:Reach thread. >.>

I was destroying an enemy team on team death-match, Cod: MW2, but my guys were getting pwned...an enemy made a knife throw across the map, random, and hit me in the face...making me the game losing kill for my team when we only needed like two more kills...and I had the drop on two guys who didn't know that I was there...

Anyone else got a frustrating gaming moment?

In EQOA, which is an mmorpg, i was getting help killing my lvl 55 side quest mob for a ability or item that i needed. We dropped the mob, and when i went to go loot, i got into the loot screen, but before i could take what i needed i lost my internet connection. I had to do the whole dam thing over again. Not fun

I was playing WoW and I had to kill this dude and his two little minions hanging on him for a quest.  I had to do it in spurts.. kill one, get killed, come back kill the next, get killed... came back to get the main guy just as a stupid guy 10 lvls higher than me comes and takes him out and goes running off laughing gleefully.

Also, apparently when I have yahoo on and someone messages me it switches screens to windows and people seem to like to message me right when I'm in the middle of combat.  I got killed by a lvl 5 bear this way. -_-

Wow...

I was playing Battlefield: Bad Company 2 the other day on Rush mode. For those who don't know, Rush mode is where one team defends these satalite uplinks while the enemy try to take them out. The defenders have infinite reinfrocements and the attackers have a limited amount. I was on the defending team and the enemies had nine reinforcements left...and they won it...I couldn't defuse the bomb because there was a Blackhawk, two snipers, and artillery coming down all around it...frustrating...

I was playing FF4 and fighting that fire demon dude for like, the 3rd time and I finally managed to beat him after maybe 30 minutes? Then I figured ok, it's time to exit the dungeon, should be easy... 5 minutes later, I got pwned by a dragon. GAME OVER! and no save after the boss. That pissed me off so much!

Another frustrating moment, or moments in this case: Assassin's Creed 1 where I'm trying to fight or run away from guards. Instead of climbing up or off to the side like I want him to, Altair tends to either just hang there, or jump AWAY from the walls in which case he ends up right smack dab in the middle of all the pursuing guards on the ground. Also there was that time I accidentally got too close to a Mussaif (the home town!) guard while riding a horse and then all the guards decided to attack me. I tried to get away and hide, but never managed to and instead got knocked off the top of a building which was on the edge of a cliff and died.

Yeah, that made no sense. There must be people who ride fast who aren't assassins... And as a game mechanic it sucked since it took forever to get through the hamlets in the world. Another annoying thing in AC1: Those beggar women, specifically the one that's right by a pickpocketing mission. Since the button for pickpocketing and pushing away people is the SAME, whenever I tried to pickpocket, he would instead push the beggar away and then the target would turn around and start yelling and then I had to run away and hide. I got so angry after a few tries that I tried punching the beggar woman and chasing her away, but then she just runs right back after.

  • 2 weeks later...

right now, my most aggrevating game moment deals with "Twighlight Princess" on the Wii.

i got stuck on the part where you escort the Zora prince and wagon across Hyriu(sp) field with the Orges right on your back and birds droppign bombs.

well you have to stay with the wagon via horse back and not only shoot arrows at birds and wack orgs with your sword but also use your boom-a-rang to put out the flames on the wagon.

it took me 6 months to get past this damn part and i broke the wrist thing on one of my controllers because i threw it in frustration.  it caused me to go out and buy the book, and even then the book was no help at all because this part was nothing but a test of skill.

i've since beaten the game, but i wont re-play the game because of that one part.

not continuously, i would work on it in spirts.  a week striaght, then put it down for 2 weeks or so to get un-mad at Zelda.  after about 3 months of goign back and forth i put it away and finish Mario Galaxy then came back to it with renewed vigor and the game guide

Wow. I never got that far. I sold it for some reason...and my Wii...because I don't care for the Wii. o.O

I got it back later for a gamecube I got from a friend for like five bucks but then gave the 'cube and the game to my sister for Christmas.

The only game I'm frustrated at right now is the game of life...I HATE doing work...
