Wow - here we go: and for posterity's sake, any future mods who want to include a point system into their games - get ready to spend hours going back and confirming details throught posts. I had notes and a running tally, but to go back and check? Hours... And that's how you know that I love ya.  ;D 8)

 

So, to begin, this game was my great experiment to see how lots of roles and lots of power would do in the hands of the innocent.

 

There were only 4 mafia, and they had no powers other than their nightkill and the chance to find the Traitor. That's it.

 

The game was overloaded with power roles on the innocent side so bad, that it actually balanced out completely on the innocent side - which is to say, for every extreme power role , there had to be a foil. The four mafia would have been more appropriate for a 14 player standard (Finder/Healer) game.  The idea was to let the innocents kill each other off. And it worked. It worked really, really well. I got more than one comment about the innocents beating themselves.

 

Now, for the points: I'm going to list the shots that players called and the points that they won in doing so. Then I'll wrap it all up, throw in some MVP points and so on, and announce the Grand Winner...

 

A quick note - originally, I had planned to post the actual comments, but I have a weird compatability issue with DM and Word, so you're getting the paraphrased version. Let's begin:

 

Day 1: It lasted for freakin' ever. 65 pages to be exact, and that's got to be a record somewhere...

 

Barm - Called "the worst gambit in history" to see "who would fall for it." It fizzled. But, there was some speculation about it, so I gave it 2 points.

            Called his intent to unleash the "Cromwell Approval." He's done it before, and got mileage for that - but to what effect? In the end, it just really confused everybody and. But, you get 1 point for the pictures.

 

Pete - Called his intention to get Barm or Kivam lynched. Never happened. I did award 1 point for shooting high.

 

Pandy - Called BS on Barm right away - 2 points.

              Called Talya's response to it - and fairly accurately - 2 points

              Got creative and ambitious with his role - Evangalist - 4 points

 

Nae - The Psycho - laid out a strategy that would allow her to kill every night, but not be "blamed" for it - by killing players that were not active. Once yoiu think about it, it's a really good plan, and she used it to great effectiveness. 8 points.

 

Pete - Jumps back in with a plan to try and get lynched by Day 4. Never happened.

 

Barm - comes back with a new goal: Survive Day 1! He also called that he was going to shake up his play-style a bit. Did he?. I gave it 2 points.

 

Verbal - Spots Pandy "trying to accumulate points". Good spot. 3 points

 

FDM - Survive Day 1! -she did - 1 point.

           Set Nae up for a lynch. - Never happened.

           Become the freindliest and most helpful player - eh - 2 points

           Pondering the relationship between Barms & Kiv. heh

           Set Pete up for a lynch - Nope.

 

           Interestingly, she did call Lavinya as mafia on Day 1. She missed with her other guesses, but got Lavinya. Hmmm....3 points

Verbal - called a blatant bandwagon on a player and would not get lynched or NK'd for it. He later adjusted this to mean Kivam, and got pretty damn close, but no cigar. 2 points

 

Alys - Spotted Barm as having a Power role. - 1 point

 

Barm - guessed a role, and missed.

 

Kivam - attempted to get the entire game to mass reveal. Wow. It had it's ups and downs, and in the end, earned him 3 points. If it had worked - well - that would have been interesting.

 

At this point in the game, the following comments were made, and I quote: "Barm is nuts!" & "Pandy is nuts!" & "Pete is nuts!". Not sayin who made 'em. Just wanted to share 'em.

 

Rey - picked Barms and Nae as Masons working together. Of course, Masons were not on the list of players, but they were Psycho and Psychiatrist - and Rey saw the connection before anyone else. Makes you wonder...1 point.

 

FDM - posts her new list of who is mafia - and the only one she got is still Lavinya. LMAO. 1 point

 

Nae - Calls Lavinya out for being to agreeable. LMAOEH 1 point.

 

Pete - Comes up with the idea that there is a cult. Even though it was not on the approved role list. Hmmm...Then he picks Lavinya out as mafia. How crazy is that...3 points.

            Then he tries to get Nae lynched, but has no luck.

 

Wombat - predicts that the game will exceed 150 pages. At this point, Day 1 could have...then he guesses that Barm is the Traitor. Nope.

 

FDM - sends me this "I bet you are just sitting back in your evil seat and wickedly tapping your fingers ala' Montgomery Burns." 2 points. I actually was...

 

Nae - Speaking of funny quotes, she posted something at some point about Mynd startling the snakes to beat someone - I'll give 1 point for that - and I need a link back to the quote, or at least a repeat - I couldn't find it and it cracked me up!

 

Talmanes - Calls a lynch on Nae. Never Happened.

 

Alys - called a fairly elaborate plan regarding her reveal, and it worked. 10 points.

 

Then...I had to Mod-Kill Talmanes - and he was playing really well, it killed m eto do it. But, you can't break the rules...anyway, to keep the game balanced, I threw the Traitor role to Dae, who was originally the Tree Stump. He calls that he will now try and tangle Kivam up in his own words. It worked a little...2 points.

 

Alys - called that she would be protected. She wasn't. She was investigated...heh. She also called that she would be NK'd. She wasn't.

Lily - wisely protects herself. 1 point

 

Kivam - picks Pete or Lily to be the Arsonist. Neither one is.

 

Nae - on her first night she kills a mafia player. She then positions herself to be able to call it for a town win, but stays cool and continues to go for the solo win. Very cool...5 points

 

Kivam - guesses that Barms is the Cop. Nope.

 

Barm's - almost picks Nae to heal on night 1. Then chooses pale.

 

Lily - calls that she will try to attract the NK on herslef, as she is protected. She didn't, but it was a great thought. 2 points

 

Wombat  - Guesses Pale as the Double Voter. Nope.

 

The mAfia team picks Kivam as the possible Traitor - not even close.

 

Wombat - Guesses Kivam is the Finder and is lying about being the Firefighter. Nope and Nope.

                  But, you laid a hint down on the thread for Kivam to catch - the one about you being voteless. You called and and called that he would catch it. He did. Nicely done. 5 points.

 

Lily  - Guesses that Kivam is the Cop. Nope.

 

Hybrid - Guesses Kivam is the Cop. Nope.

 

Rey comes back from the dead to guess that Kivam is the Cop. I'm thinking that the extra little tidbit of info that Kivam got on N1 made everyone think he was the cop? heh

 

Alys - paraphrased "They keep mixing up everything I said!" heh

 

The game goes on, and after a while, no one really has any idea at all about what's happening. There is a lot of speculation and a lot of frustration. But people stopped calling their shots...

 

Finally, after Kivam dies, he comes in with a final mafia team guess: Nae, Hybrid, & Pete.  He got Hybrid...2 points

 

Wombat throws a Hail Mary to guess roles:  Nae - Tree Stump? Nope...Lavinya -Roleblocker? Nope...Hybrid - Psycho? Nope...and Pete, Mafia Governor?...Nope.

 

And then it ended.

Now, some folks never sent in a shot - but that doesn't mean they didn't paly a great game.

 

The Mafia Team: Tynall, Hybrid, Rey, and Lavinya - whi wins MVP for taking a sweet situation and running with it.

 

Kivam and Alys get major points for playing very well thought out and strategic games.

 

FDM gets points for going in for the team win and getting Kivam to see her - and we all hope she is feeling much better!!!  ;D

 

and Nae - who came 6 minutes away from a solo win (or pretty close, anyway). Damn. But what a game...

I guessed that Alys was the socialite in the same PM that I guessed Pale was the double voter.  Alys revealed a lot of her privileged info by insinuation before then, but as far as I can tell, she didn't reveal her role.  The first hint I had of my guess being right was when Alys said that Kivam lost her points, and the confirmation only came with the coroner's report.
