Danya? She argued to me that meta gaming wasn't a good idea, but it always works well for me. And I've only played with her once, but.....oh, never mind. That would be tacky. Let's just say our way of playing suits me better than the oldtimers way, and leave it at that.

when i first started playing, i didnt see how metta gaming could really be something worth using; because if someone acts different all the time or acts the same its useless.  but now that i have a few games under my belt i understand how its a benfit to use it as a tool.

as for the night reveal, i just think its too dangerous and the consequences of it out weigh the risks for me to be comfertable with it.

The funny thing for me about metagaming is that I do it all the time, but...I kind of don't like it :D Because I don't think I act the same way from game to game, and that probably goes for other people. But...I still metagame all the time :P I think it's just making sure you don't take it too far. There are probably similarities in the way all people act from game to game, but it's possible to get too nitpicky about it.

I can't speak for everyone, but I find that the key to successfully being mafia is to not alter your play style at all. Do exactly what you would do if you were town. In fact, I try to put the fact that I'm mafia out of my mind when I'm reading a thread. It's odd, but it works. Others like to play differently each game. I can't do that very well. I make the slightest change, like having less time to post, and six people accuse me of something. Pandy said I wasn't my usual pro-active self in one game. I'm thinking "since I've been mafia all but a few games in the last few months, isn't that a good thing?" *giggle* It's better for me to be consistent.

Or the people that base your actions on what they would do if they were what they are accusing you of.  Each and every person has their own style and using how you play to judge someone else is worse than metagaming.  -end rant-

Oh, right, .....

[glow=red,2,300]Ed[/glow],  a lowlife umm... dreadie?  has been Modkilled for daring to doubt the awesomeness that is the Black Ajah.  I tried to change my mind when he said Nae was the best.. but alas.  I argued with myself and I won the argument.  So Ed has to go.

Nae continues to argue with herself that it was a bad move as Ed really is a sort of ok guy... for a smelly, rotting, putrid dreadie.  Nae disagrees with that... true that he is smelly and all that but she's just not so sure he's a nice guy.  Then Nae comes in and hushes both of her other selves up.  It is wrong to punish him INSIDE the game for something he was uninformed on OUTSIDE of the game.  We shall revive him and let the other players do with him what they will.  All three Nae's finally nodded in agreement.

Ed has been revived and is now a minion of Nae... and he's back in the game for now.

I didn't name names and I wasn't only refering to you. :-*

*cough* Talmanes *cough*

I think that method probably works better for some people than others.  I think if Pete did it it would work poorly, but for a more logical, less instinctual player, it might work well.

EDIT for modkill and revival O_o
