Mat, Rand and Perrin leading the forfront of battle up the slope of Shaygoul.  Mat has blown the Horn, Perrin braing the flags of Rand, Lewstherin and Manatherin.  Behing them are the Heroes of legend, behind them are the Aiel beating spears to bucklers and marching in time to the tune of "We Will Rock you". then ofcourse the other armies and Aes Sedia behind them....

 

Mat and Rand take up the Vocals while the Darkone and his minons sit atop Shaygoul laughing and pointing at their "feeble" armie.

 

Perrin breaks into an awesome guitar solo, with his guitar in the shape that dreaded Axe....

 

Battle insues, good guys win, then we cut to....

here we see the battle has been won, credits are starting to role, Rand's flag & lews therins flag are riased on the top of Shaygoul, the Blight is recceding and Rand is leaning against his flag pole surrounded by all his allies.

 

Rand does most of the singing of course, with Perrin breaking into major guuitar rifts on his most awesome guitar axe.

Or Children of the Light singing "Ding-Dong the witch is dead" after killing an Aes Sedai. I can just imagine Asunawa jumping onto a table and doing a jig while singing.  :D

Or... imagine this, a Darkfriend social, and suddenly Ishamael shows up, and after giving them their instructions, he leaves, and the DF's begin chatting, and then, they break into "I'm on a Highway to Hell!" and they dance around and stuff.

 

Or Mat singing "Uptown Girl" with Rand and Perrin as backups when they found out he married Tuon.

 

And as for the Everybody wahts to rule the world thing, brilliant, the lyrics could have been made for it.

This fits with what I think will happen at TG. The armies will be fighting but Rand will be elsewhere, at Shayol Ghul. And maybe when the Horn is blown the Heroes will mirror his own fight with the Dark One as they did before, hope fading with the armies as the Heroes [and Rand] falter.

Never noticed it before, but The Wretched by NIN fits almost the whole prologue of tEotW. The first half of the song even has Ishy's tone of mocking, contempt, and satisfaction to show LTT what he has become....

Well, I always wondered what our bug-headed drawling friends would sing as they march to battle.

 

I admit, as soon as I first saw the line on the old WOTFAQ ("Y'all bow down to the Empress now, y'hear!") I had the first glimmer of an idea.

 

Now, of course, every time I see that helmet chapter icon, I play a rather old American song that frankly, I don't think is appropriate to play in public anymore (though far too many of my countrymen disagree) because of its very real connotations to a bleak part of our history.

 

For those of you familiar with RJ's native land, his alma mater, and the War Between States, I think you might be able to guess the tune.

 

For those *unfamiliar*, it's an 1861 song named Everybody's Dixie. The tune, however, remains the same as "I wish I was in the land of cotton..."
