Also I hate quoting the same post twice but, Lily, you can't play a mafia game if you are going to let personal feelings get in the way. A role is random. I am not saying switch your vote and vote Talya, I am saying never rule out a person because you feel sorry for them, or you like them.

Its not mafia lurking its just plain lurking. I'm not good at spamming so if I have nothing worth saying I don't say anything. Things worth saying being things related to lynching people or other topics that further the game.

Oh, don't worry, Dragon. I could just as easily switch my vote to her. I just had to have some reason to pick one of you. Depending on how the voting goes, I could easily change mine. I don't feel I know how any of you play well enough to really rely on that for a reason. I voted for you because you're a really good player, and my gut says to do so. No more, no less. And nothing personal, of course.  ;)

At first, I took this at face value, but after thinking it over, I'm now suspicious. Dragon knows perfectly well that I like him a lot. If anyone is following the WT mafia game, you are aware that I am currently throwing my own sister under the bus. (And no, it's not a sibling rivalry thing - it's honest to goodness suspicion.) So, Dragon already knows that I don't refrain from voting for someone because I like them. If that was the case, I wouldn't be voting for him. I'm now really suspicious, and my vote stands.

I was stating that for other newbie players. This game is meant to be a learning experience for them.

 

They need to realize all ties are cut upon entering the game.

Okay I have just had a quick look at the people playing. I think 3 of them are totally novices at this game, and as far as I know haven't played a game here on DM.

 

There are another 2/3 that I would call still learning. They have been in a couple. Then the rest have been in quite a few games. The chances are that one of the more experienced players will be a mafia. That list would be as follows:

 

Talya (me)

Dragon

Dae

Meesh

Rose

Peace

 

A few of those (me, Dae and Dragon) can't even try to say we aren't experienced. The others have played in a few games that I know of, as I have played with the. Peace not for a while, but I have in the past.

 

Out of those, I'm most suspicious of Dae and Dragon. Dae, I'm not sure why but he pops in has a couple of posts and then poof gone again. Dragon seems to be trying to push for my lynch and yet won't got out and vote for me. I think he got a little worried that Lily voted for him, but tried to come back and cover it up. This is just a feeling I have. But I think at the moment out of the two [glow=red,2,300]Dragon[/glow] seems the most likely.

Please note that I will probably be away on LOA when the deadline hits. After the deadline, it will not be day and no more votes will be accepted. This is called the 'twilight' stage, as it is between night and day. No night actions will be accepted until I get back, give the coroner report, and declare it to be night. I will be back on Friday night, my time.

 

The lynch will be determined by the rules given in the first post, according to the vote count made when the deadline hits.

Personally i wish i hadn't said to go for the experienced players since there is too many to choose from, and since first day normally produces a town lynch, we would lose out on a good player. I'm in favor at the moment of going after inactive people, since the less that gets contributed the harder and slower the game goes.

Saying all that Dae has only done a couple of posts and is experienced so at the moment fits what i would qualify as a good lynch on the first day.

Never been one of the spammier players, so you'll tend to get long and detailed, but far between 'em.

 

Someone out there has been influenced by their Mafia teammates to take the heat off another of them. I'm looking at possibly PTL throwing one out to stop a bandwagon on a relatively inactive (trying to drop off the radar?) Dragonsworn.

 

A couple of other ideas are floating around (Tal, aint employing the Barm strategy are you?), and i won't say a degree of self preservation isnt influencing me when i vote for [glow=red,2,300]Dragon[/glow] but i am glad people were paying attention to my Experienced persons post at the start.

Well i'm all in favor of self preservation too. Would rather it be one of the experienced players to feel the tightness of the noose.
