I'm stupidly near-sighted... BUT!  Somehow, my eyes haven't really gotten any worse over the past seven years.  I don't know <b>how</b> I did that, considering that I never stopped loking at computers, rarely went into sunlight, and kept my apartment dark and dismal, but there you go.

No, it's possible. My number used to go up every half a year during school but when I got drafted, it just stopped. I didn't change anything *shrugs*

Like you Nyn I am very very near sighted, also I have flat eyes and my tear production is very bad.  :'(
