In the back of my mind I have been thinking there will be a random mod kill if there is no majority in the day phase, but that's not true here is it?  That's on another site...  :-[

I [glow=red,2,300]Vote Danya [/glow] we have to start building up to a critical mass to lynch someone and Danya not voting at allnot only does not help in getting information but limits the ability to get 8 votes for anyone. Thus, it may not be a great reason, but its mine and I will stick with it.

Verbal aside, its a stronger reason than anyone else has got.

So, let me get this straight, Cubeary is voting Danya because we gotta start building a critical mass on someone?  Thorum is voting Danya because she doesn't vote as usual?  Does anyone else notice a pattern here?

Three people voting an easy target because Danya isn't on as often as many of us.  Their reason?  Because she's not going to vote on Day 1, just like she usually does every game.  If we lynch her and she is innocent, what information does that give us?  Exactly!  Absolutely nothing!

Why are Thorum and Cubary pushing for a lynch on someone who would give up ZERO information?

Jeran voting for Liathiana is also a lame reason. Lia would give us no information.

Friends, I think we need to strongly consider Thorum or Cubary at this point.  They both seem to be stacking up on Danya so that we lose a likely innocent and gain no information at all.

[glow=red,2,300]unvote [/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]Thorum[/glow]

If he turns out to be mafia, then I say we take a long hard look at Cubary and Jeran.

....and the bandwagon continues to form.  MCS, who is mafia with you? Cubarey? Thorum? Barm?  All of them?

One of the most basic rules about bandwagons is that the third or fourth person voting "just because we gotta get a majority" is likely scum.  There is nothing odd about Danya's choice in not voting because that's how she plays every game.  Tell me something, what information will lynching Danya give any of us?

I'm thinking Mynd is being a bit too defensive of me here.... me not voting is usually not a problem at all, because there are always enough people to have a lynch even if some people choose not to vote. I can randomly vote too, but theres no different between me not voting at all or voting say Jeran or Barms.

Yes, I do. Mine. Like explained twice by me and once by cuba

Just don't make them innocent because I am.

[glow=red,2,300]unvote [/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]Thorum[/glow]

There is a bit of a pattern here just like in the movie Groundhog Day.  Back on page 6 Mynd voted for Thorum because Thorum voted for Danya.  Then in the quoted post Mynd makes a point of saying Danya is likely innocent (for no adequately explained reason) then unvotes Thorum and votes Thorum.

Why the obsession with Thorum and Danya?

I'm changing my vote to [glow=red,2,300]Danya[/glow]

Because she won't vote, and to start eliminating players from the lynch list

This is when Thorum first switched his vote for Danya.  Note his stated reasons, but then later he posts:

My voting pattern on day 1 is always the same:

vote for someone who doesn't contribute much (and Danya is very often among them - not my fault)

try to keep the votes on 5 players max. The first step in this is eliminating Liath from this list (thanks Hybrid, for immediately making this invalid :( )

So, you are saying that Danya doesn't contribute much?  Just because someone doesn't vote on day 1 does not mean they do not contribute to the game.  Is that even a reason to vote someone off?  To me, that gives us incredibly little to go on.  Yet, in the same post he says we should start by not voting Liath, a player who also has not voted.  Why not vote her instead?

Going after inactives is the method of the mafia...

And just because Danya is not voting now means she will later? I think refusing to vote as an active player is worse then being an inactive player. It slows down the game because of the choice that is being made, which could also be a strategy within the game it self. Where as not having posted means that your "plotting"? You should go and see when the last time Lith logged in was.

for me, not voting on day 1 = not contributing much on day 1. Especially if she almost doesn't post.

Why not liath? Read the second line of the quote you made :D

I've got the impression you're the last one that doesn't get it yet. I'm not gonna rererererererererere-explain it

Why are you being so defnsive Mynd, is that if she is lynched and comes up innocent you can say I told you so, to come out looking good. ;)

She never does say too much until later on in the game, so mostly at the beginning she doesn't contribute much to the game. It's probably because Lith hasn't posted yet at all, at least I don't think she has, I haven't checked to see if she has been around, or if LOA, so a slightly different situation. So in a way I can see Thorum's point of view, doesn't mean I think she is mafia though, she is playing has she normally plays!

Maybe this is a nice little ruse between you and Thorum, now there's a thought... :)

I'm confused, how is calling out Thorum on a weak basis for a lynch is considered being defensive? It's not about Danya, its about Thorum's logic.  And again, Liath is also not contributing, so why not her?

Srsly? You agree that we should lynch Danya because she doesn't vote on Day 1?
