Egwenes keeper

ive been listening to the audio book of TDR recently and was just at the point when Egwene went through the third arch in her accepted test.  she is amyrlin and her keeper is completely unknown.  So i ask, when she is officially raised amyrlin in the tower itself who will be her keeper?

 

At this point Sheriam is her keeper, but she has had a few breakdowns under the pressure of the times and events.  i hope that she returns to her post as mistress of novices...she'd probably take to the new novices better than whomever it is at the tower. 

 

Egwene obviously wouldnt take elayne or nyneave, and i think she might want suian but assume that most of the tower would balk at that. 

 

or maybe a pick out of left field, Beldine?  whoever that is.

 

maybe Cadsuene and Alivia are successful with Rand and she can acquire Cadsuene.

 

It really seems that most of the prominent aes sedai are better suited somewhere else.  part of me wants her to have a small council including an aes sedai, a wise one, a seafolk, and a kin, but she remains amyrlin with the final say in things...unless the hall throws a fit or whatever. 

 

I think with Egwene as amyrlin the aes sedai will recognize the other groups of channellers as independent groups that are separate from the WT yet connected not only to it but to all the other groups as well.  There will be some intermingling btwn the groups for individuals who want to train in specific areas, like studying w/ the windfinders to learn to work the weather more effectively.  Even though each group has a different set of rules that govern how they go about achieving their primary objective, the objective is the same for all of them; light opposes darkness, and peace and stability for mankind.  Even the Seanchan have order and relative peace within their own society, and fight the shadow as well...or they will I expect.  The will be connected by the ultimate ideal and not the dogma surrounding the achievement of that ideal.

My guess would be that Egwene choose Tarna, Elaida's Keeper, to show that she wants to unite the Tower. Tarna is smart, and doesn't hate men like most Red. She will be a good Keeper.

The breakdowns I think might have been because of Arangar's treatment toward her (at least partly if not fully).

Since Arangar is gone, I think Sheriam could be a good Keeper.

 

I think Sheriam would need to be convicted of some Tower crime in order for her to be replaced.

With Sheriam being beaten at night and obviously intimidated there may be something there that sees her being removed. I'm not convinced she's a darkfriend but who ever did it must have some sort of leverage against her. Or she could just die...

 

Siuan might be keeper since she's been so involved in advising Egwene. Tbh I hope the tower is razed to the ground by the end of AMoL and a new joint association is formed with the Asha'man.

its been a while sine I read the books, so was wondering where SHeriam is beaten at night and why arangar is doing it. I would like to read that section again, I complete don't remember. Thanks

There are several guesses as to who is beating Sheriam, my guess is Lelaine.  As for where it is I think it's in PoD and reference is made other places.  My guess is one way or another Sheriam will not see reunification.  As for who will be egwene's keeper I think it will be Tarna or Silviana.

Beldeine is one of the Dragonsworn Aes Sedai who participated in the Kidnapping of the Dragon.  She's most recently accompanied the Dragon Reborn, with several others, to his meeting with the 'Daughter of the Nine Moons'.

 

Will the testing ring ter'angreal be proven true?  Doubtful; I suspect they are like the Portal Stones and reflect possible, but less-likely weavings of the Pattern.

 

I really expect Sheriam to be slain or taken as a marath'damane in the upcoming attack on the White Tower.  Either that, or she'll be dismissed due to her apparent incompetence (beatings aside).

i reckon instead of a female amyrilin and a female keeper, their will be a new alliance between the asha'man and the aes sedai where egewene would be the top female and logain the top male. or something along those lines.

Given what happened durring her testing I think the chances of Beldeine being mad Egwene's keeper EVER is as likely as her finding a 1967 chevy and going for a drive. She would be to afraid of what could happen I would think.
