Okay folks, I'm bored at work, don't have MSN, so this is a little project of mine I'm trying to revive from a few years ago. Put simply, it gets a bit tricky sometimes RPing another person's character, especially when the only information you have is their name and rank. I'm looking to get a detailed list of everyone's character as they are at the moment, as opposed to working of bios. (Character development, wrting style changes, all that sort of stuff that makes the bio not quite up to date.)

 

So if everyone could lend a hand and fill out the following information and just post it here, that'd be great :)

All of these things I'm hoping to get up on the website so we can all know a bit more about other people's characters so we can know each other more, even if we all don't get the chance to RP together. Heck, it's not been until lately I've actually remembered being in an RP with Arath, and we're staff here :P Basically the more details the better, but try to keep it as stuff OTHER people can use. If you're secretly plotting to blow up the barracks or kill your instructor, DONT post it here. Whatever you put up here is fair game for people to use.

 

Of course this will be a trial of sorts, if people start getting rubbed the wrong way, we'll have to go back to leaving everything gray for the other person to fill in. But I think it'll be better for all of us if we can get some more details in, even if it is just making a passing reference, as opposed to having to NPC other peoples characters. Still, lets see how it goes shall we?

[Tigara]

Character Name: Ikkiliad sur Paendrag

Character Age: Should be about 28 by now

Character Height: 5'4"

Character Build: Very thin and weakish

Character Nationality: Mayener

Physical Description: Short and skinny. Tanned looking skin. Long, jet-black hair held back in a ponytail with two bangs framing the sides of his face. Thin, round glasses only needed when not holding the OP.

Personal traits: Intellectual, indoorsy, kind and gentle, like to Heal people, likes Aes Sedai

Personal Habits: Lurks around the infirmary, drinks when he's tired, weak belly, whines about physical labor.

[Jehaine]

DM Handle: Jehaine

Character Name: Martyn Stonebridge (alias for Tavon Zaralyn)

Character Age: 34 (actually 84)

Character Height: 6 feet

Character Build: Muscular, but not overly so.

Character Nationality: Andoran (Malkieri)

Physical Description: (shamelessly copy-pasted from bio) <.< >.>

 

True to the Malkieri fashion, he wears his dark brown hair to his shoulders, though he no longer holds it back with a hadori. He has dark brown eyes, matching his eye color. Much like his daughter, he has an angular face with a pointed chin, though in comparison his complexion is a bit darker compared to hers due to the time spent living in a Stedding.

 

Clothing wise, he has fully adopted Andoran fashion, and can more often than not be seen wearing a white shirt, a red coat and a simple pair of trousers without accessories. The rather simple cut of his clothing is deliberate, as he doesn't want to risk endangering his cover by adding a couple of typically Malkieri traits by accident.

 

Personal traits: Married, one daughter. Believes them both to have died of old age, though the last time he had seen them they were heading south to the White Tower some fifty years ago. He lives under a false identity just in case though, as he doesn't want his family to suffer just because they share the same last name as a male channeler.

 

Personal Habits:

 

Having been a soldier and a veteran of the Fall of Malkier, he places more importance on his ability with a sword than he does in his channeling ability. Growing up in a country that didn't look favorably on male channelers however gave him a block the size of Randland, though that has started to crack of late.

Yeah, but once we have the wiki up to snuff, it'll be easier for people to update their bios and such, so that'll be nice :) But in the meantime, use the tools at hand, good sir!

[Sieve]

Character Name: Geirrin Hale

Character Age: Early 20's

Character Height: Roughly 6'0"

Character Build: Thin muscular build

Character Nationality: Tairen

Physical Description: Medium skinned, Short cropped dark hair, clean shaven with bright blue eyes. He is in his 20's though he appears to be 18ish which is aided by his immature additute.

 

Personal traits: Loves the outdoors and working with his hands.  Has a habit of laughing when he is in danger or when his adrenaline is pumping.  Some may think him mad but he is quite sane though he can be a little crazy at times.  He is very reckless, does not think of the consequences of his actions until it is too late.  He is outgoing socially though he is very passive and laid back about most things.  Is very respectful of authority and shy around others of a higher station in life.  He enjoys the company of women though he would never dare approach or pursue a woman of noble birth or those he perceives as above commoners.  Cannot read or write.  Does not care for conventional weapons.  Even though he is an Asha'man he still sees himself as a commoner.

 

 

Personal Habits: Likes to make things and learn new skills.  Spends his spare time in the smithy or around the farm building something.  Likes to drink and dice, enjoys the company of common women.  Hates bein idle for long.

Character Name: Valeran Kertovni

Character Age: 37

Character Height: 5'10"

Character Build: Stocky build on the border of being fat

Character Nationality: Saldaean

Physical Description: Has black curly hair to his shoulders, dark tilted eyes, hooked nose and a thick hanging mustache in the Saldaean fashion.  He has hints of grey in his hair above his ears.  His mouth seems set in a perpetual frown.

 

Personal traits: As a former Underlieutenant of a Saldaean Lancer regiment he expects discipline and expects protocols to be followed.  He has no problem calling someone down for a perceived violation providing they are of equal or lower rank.  Respects authority and the chain of command.  Has disdain for those who do not do their share or shirk from their duties.  Dislikes non-soldier types, thinks of them as weak.  Has a strong sense of duty and expects the same from others.  Does not like slack leadership.  Despite his bulky appearance he is quite agile and is a skilled rider.  Is comfortable around people who hold a higher station in life.  He is respectful but from his years of command he thinks of himself as being on level ground with most.

 

Personal Habits: Spends a lot of time on horseback, prefers to ride instead of walking.  Spends a lot of time practicing with various weaponry.  Spends too much time and money on women, drinking, and gambling. 

[Muirenn]

Character Name: Serge Karminov

 

Character Age: 24

 

Character Height: 5'8"

 

Character Build: Stocky

 

Character Nationality: Illianer

 

Physical Description: Serge was a dockworker in Illain before coming to the Black Tower, and he looks it.  He has very large arms/shoulders from hauling cargo and rope lines, very calloused hands and feet.  Since coming to the BT he is fastidious about neatness and appearance.  His square cut beard is always very neatly trimmed, his nails are clean and well shaped, and his uniforms never carry so much as a speck of dust.  Overall he is a very good looking man, pretty, not handsome.  His facial features are surprisingly delicate.  Blue eyes, blonde hair.

 

Personal traits: Extreme vanity.  He's pretty and he knows it.  He is a great lover of men, and is generous in his affections, flirtatious.  He also has a penchant for cleanliness, dislikes getting his hands dirty.  Since breaking his block he will channel to do a task if able rathern than stooping to manual labor.

 

Personal Habits: Sleeping around, practicing the sword, primping, hoping no one will make him do actual work

That's good, since if you stoop to manual labor at the farm we beat ya >:(

 

Character Name: Arath Faringal

Character Age: 20

Character Height: 5'10

Character Build: Slender but strong

Character Nationality: Andoran

 

Physical Description: Green eyes.  Short, messy, brown hair.  Has a large dragon fang scar over his heart, but rarely ever lets it show

 

Personal traits: Focused.  Arath always tries to finish off the task at hand before moving on to the next.  He sometimes comes across as arrogant (but what Asha'man doesn't?) and a loner, but he just takes a while to warm up to new people.  Friends find him to be pretty laid back and more than willing to joke around.

 

Personal Habits:  His family were blacksmiths/jewelcrafters, a skill he also learned and now continues as a hobby, which ties in quite nicely with his new found skill of making ter'angreal.  He also enjoys sword training more than many Asha'man.

[Lews Therin Kinslayer]

DM Handle: Lews Therin Kinslayer (Formerly Telamon)

Character Name: Dom'nik

Character Age: 21 and three quarters

Character Height: 5'11.8

Character Build: tall and thin

Character Nationality: Tautha’an

Physical Description: Dom’nik is unimposing, with brown hair and eyes. 

Personal traits: Normally honest, Dom’nik is kind, and enjoys healing people.  He is kind to strays, and acts without thinking.  He is strongest with Saidin in the element of Air.  He suffers from sporadic periods of insanity. 

Personal Habits: He will often as not refuse to harm other beings, but won’t hesitate so incapacitate them.  He focuses on Air and healing weaves, not weaponry weaves.  He still has trouble using saidin for destructive purposes, as he was brought up to follow the way of the leaf. 

 

He is not a big user of destructive weaves, preferring to use nonviolent means.  He can spin invisibility on himself so as to sabotage, or spy, but not to kill or maim.  He sees Healing as the answer to everything.  He is a little optimistic. 

 

Favours wrappign opponents if flows of Air while sheilding them, and then rendering them unconcious. 

[Kura]

Character Name: Sereth Arian

Character Age:  20 (I’d say he has been here a year by now.)

Character Height:  5’11

Character Build: Muscular, always taught that a healthy mind needs a healthy body.

Character Nationality: Andorian

 

Physical Description: Blue eyes, brown hair, with no real distinguishing marks on him. He can fit pretty easily into a crowd of his fellow black coats, and most any southern land if he removes that coat.

 

Personal traits: Analytical and philosophical. He is constantly trying to find meaning behind everything, picking apart any fact he gets. Still, he comes off as friendly, if a bit spacey, and prone to outrageous comments. Still, when it comes to duty he can be quick and efficient, throwing away his bookish manner for a hardened persona almost incapable of feeling the emotional strife of even something as severe as killing, that is, until he comes out of this state.

 

Personal Habits: He has a habit of watching people, reading books, and just hanging around, looking for something else to pick apart. He can sit there thinking alone for hours about something as simple as the grass blowing in the wind or pondering the complexities of the power and the taint with equal ease. The second can make him a bit hard to deal with around the tower, as he has been known to bring up the rotting disease quite a few times in casual conversation, having accepted it as inevitable and striving to understand his fate.

 

 

[TaiDashan]

DM Handle: Tai'Dashan

 

Character Name: Tai'Dashan (Just plain Tai to his friends)

 

Character Age: 26'ish (26 on coming to the tower...depends on timeline)

Character Height: Average (about 5'11)

Character Build: Medium build (What else do I call that? lol)

Character Nationality: Mayne

 

Physical Description: Tai is a generally handsome man with dark hair and startlingly blue eyes. The kind that have gained him both favor and trouble, when it came to women. ;) He has an easily approachable look about him and is quick with a smile.

Personal traits: Tai has been left alone a lot in his life and so is eager for affection. He had a love back in Mayne named Aria which he keeps as a tightly guarded secret due to the pain of losing her. He loves the sword. Is eager to please and be liked. Friendly and open unless pushed. Tai is weakest in the element Earth and so forces himself to use it most often, attempting to strengthen his weakness.

Personal Habits: Tai has found a clearing South West of the Farm that he has somewhat claimed as his own and goes there frequently. He practices what sword forms he was able to learn and secretly wishes to become a blademaster although he himself isn't truly aware of the desire. The taint has affected him by giving him a dual-personality of sorts. Being a generally kind, affectionate, upstanding citizen the voice in his head often scandalizes him with dark, vulgar and sometimes evil comments that come from the darker side of him that we all have somewhere inside. He struggles with this frequently. He has a passionate hate for the Shadow and oftentimes pushes himself in his own training to go beyond that of those set to teach him. He fears being useless when Tarmon Gai'don comes. His family were moderately wealthy jewelry merchants and he has secreted away a few prized pieces although he does not wear them at this time.

And yes Tai, it's good  ;) Stuff like having the little clearing as your personal space is exactly the type of stuff I was looking for. Sereth killing conversations by bringing the taint into it was another great touch as well  ;D
