BUBG Mafia game thread.

I'm actually not surprised. The mafia want the strong players gone first. First BCX, now DPR. I wouldn't be surprised to see Vemy, Barmy, Alys, and Danya go next.

 

But as to mafia, I'm not sure yet.

Personal observations would put at least 1 of those experienced players as Mafia

 

Reasoning? They weren't foolish enough to waste a Night Kill aiming at the Healer, and they're steadily taking out those they percieve as major threats. Just who of those are Mafia?

 

Oh and as always, Inactive warning - some of those inactives are liable to be Mafia

I'm at work right now and can not giv ethis my full attention.... though i do agree with Dae about one of the mafia being an expereinced player.

 

Vemy...You know that usually have a personal rule of not changing my vote. Day one is basically a write off...i did not really care about Clim, i was through out a vote. *shruggs* make of it what you want hun. ;)

You guys could well be right about one of those experienced players being mafia. I've been harbouring suspicions about both Vemy and Nephi for a while now. Something about their posts strikes me as trying to hide something or deflect attention away from them.

I have been thinking and looking around the thread. I am going to think a bit more about my vote...I'm not sure i agree that Clim is evil. I don't think i'm going vote for Dae either because of the claim. Unless that was a joke as well. LOL :P  I'll be back to place my vote soon. It will be today. *nods*

 

In this quote I stated my feelings about the lynch. I said I did not entirely feel Clim was an evil…that does not make one an evil in cahoots. *nods* I try my best not to flip flop my votes…but I do change them when needed. I then voted Clim because everyone else seemed to want him dead. I could have randomly chosen some other person to make my point..but I decided to trust the majority. Good thing I did…he was evil. *nods*

 

Now I have been looking through the thread and Barm has been acting funny.  From Page 22 where he says this…

Yes. My claim was serious. And so you know, I was going to suggest much the same plan as Vem, I've just not been near a computer since I first made the claim, and I wanted to see some reactions first. Cause thats who I am.

 

 

after his post I asked him what his thoughts where on the lynch…he did not answer. DPR asks him to explain his actions..we get a response AFTER the lynch. This may have been for RL reason..being busy and such…but maybe not. This was his response…

 

Ok, screw this. I have no particular interest in dying, and since the claim has flopped so utterly, here's why I did it.

 

Dae claimed healer. So, this leaves the healer in the game known to everyone. Including the mafia team. Therefore, I felt that I should attempt to confuse the mafia by claiming healer myself. However, if its just going to get my lynched, and therefore throwing my life away, and ultimately hindering the game, then whats the point?

 

I have done this before, and it did get me lynched, however, I know that certain player(s) from this game were involved in that one, and I was counting on them cluing in and helping sow the chaos. But since that flopped too, well, there you got it. I'm a roleless innocent who was trying to help the healer stay hidden. At least Dae himself didn't go for my throat this time, unlike the healer last time around.

 

This is, assuming, that Dae is healer, and not claiming to save his neck. I'm inclined to believe him though.

 

And Wes, why keep me around? Only reason at this point is because I'm not mafia, my only contribution to the game has flopped utterly, and made you suspicious of me.

 

So if Barm believed Dae…why did he go and changed his claim. He has now left Dae out in the open with out the protection he was supposedly trying to give him with claiming. I think he backed down because of to many questions and maybe to much attention…but he should have expected that. I am actually a little disappointed din him because I would have expected him to put up more of a fight. LOL. Actually now that I think about it…I think he saw the lynch moving off of Dae and felt it was save to move away from the claim. Sounds like he was helping his evil buddy to me. I’m starting to think Barm and Dae might be in cahoots. But this post is about [glow=red,2,300]Barm[/glow]…so my feeling is that [glow=red,2,300]Barm[/glow] is evil.

 

I hope this all made sense….What do you all think?

I still can't work out whether to vote for Vemy or nephi. I think Nephi slight inactivity maybe genuine (for now) so I vote [glow=red,2,300]Vemy[/glow]

I see your point, Nephi, but I think that Barms wouldn't have stuck his neck out as a fellow mafia if Dae was evil.  Reason being, if by chance Dae was lynched, and found mafia, then Barms would have quickly followed him to the gallows.  Also, he (Barm) backed off his counter claim because it wasn't working.  He was getting too much attention, might have gotten lynched, and then if innocent, Dae would pretty much have been confirmed for the mafia.  So, in my opinion, Barm's actions follow that of an innocent player that took a chance, which subsequently backfired.  Of course, he could currently be playing me like a violin, in which case please disregard everything I say. ;D

 

 

Regardless of that, I'm not totally convinced Dae is really the healer anyway....it might have just been a ploy to keep himself alive.  I'm going to echo both DPR and Vemy here:  Finder, please get lucky and grab some mafia viewings.  If you can gather up all the mafia, it will take 2 nights for the mafia to get you.  One to take out the healer, and the second for you.  But, if you can give us the mafia on a silver platter, it won't matter.

Now barm normally would be the other option but i have seen barm do his false healer claim before when innocent to try and save the real healer.

 

And while i think its a bad move that leads to more confusion then anything else he was innocent that game.

 

 

Then we have nephy who shows an irregular voting pattern and absolutely refuses to vote clim till he was gonna die anyways.

 

 

So far as i've seen i'm the only one even suggesting people who might be evil, the rest of you just keep playing follow the leader (cept el nyn, she at least had the guts to call me out and vote me). So, short of you guys coming up with something better i think nephy is our best bet, and if you dont then lynch me and i'll be laughing at you from the grave

o.k. i think nephy voting barms was a bad move. i have watched barm pull the protect the healer at all costs thing before. AND it's a VERY logical thing to do. that's what you are supposed to do as an innocent. the healer should never be out, but when they are, you protect them.

 

so, barms may be evil, but he's attempted to do the thing an innocent should do.

 

but i still feel that someone wants to drag up onto the nephy vote. i just can't decide if it was vemy or someone after.

We have 14 people left and the current consensus is that that involves 2 mafia, an assassin and various 'good-guys'. Here is what I think...

 

Barm- made a lot of jokes on day 1 and now is arguing that he was claiming to be healer to protect Dae. Is it just me or is this really confusing?  ::)

Leelou- I have no idea really...

Nephi- I find her method of play very confusing and am still trying to interpret this...

Alys- Is either incredibly useful to the innocent team as she is encouraging us to think clearly or we are being manipulated….

Tigara- I am looking for the message in the bubbles (eg. I have no idea)

Jelly- *Has suspicions* ::)

Moggy- I'm amazing. What else did you want to know?  ;)

el nyn- As Vemy said she is one of the few people who is actually speaking her mind about people. She could quite possibly be the finder…

Vemy- He's being Vemy. Though could he be evil this time? I'm holding out for him being a healer, finder or assassin as he doesn't seem to be playing in a team as such... :P

Dae- Supposedly the healer. I don’t think so.

first, luthine seems to be a very intelligent player from all that i have seen. i'm waiting for her brains to kick in. i swear that nae was right in calling her a natural.

 

second, mogs, never ever ever ever say who you think is holding a good team role. ever. it can, will, and has gotten people lynched. don't do it. only the mafia benefit from that. (even healers are generally too fickle to follow the idea threads from this.)

 

third, you will always get that impression from me. talya, i believe it was, called me the subtle leader. i lead without trying...  :( it gets me killed.

 

fourth, i say ignore barms until he does something else that merrits disapproval.

 

fifth, assassins should always hold off for a time to try to get the best feel they can. don't worry about this one till later. besides, it may or may not be a factor.

 

sixth, symps should always try to gain attention away from their mafia pals... beneficial, at times, that they normally don't... however, i think we may have one. which would explain that feeling i got when the nephy train pulled out...

 

anyway, i feel a little kooky since i am so tired. i'm headed to bed now.
