as i said in the beginning, barms said we were to use only random.org to place the players with their roles. so that's what i did.

the roles and balance are:

normal [glow=green,2,300]healer[/glow] role- luthine

[glow=green,2,300]finder[/glow]- the dude- he got a bonus view to balance our eavesdropper role

[glow=orange,2,300]eavesdropper[/glow]- blig- he got the names of two players who, at the time, were innocent. game machinations said that night one one of these players had to be turned. (two freebies is too easy, eh?) kivy was roled on rand.org.

blig was not allowed to tell who these guys were, only to defend them. he was essentially their symp.

[glow=black,2,300]theif[/glow]- may- she had the option to steal any player's vote each night. there were two restrictions. one she had to use it each night or it was forfeit. two she couldn't steal anyone's vote twice in a row. her stolen vote would be anonymous to protect her. we decided we should probably have made it the player she stole from... but i don't know. it was for fun and not much else. wins with innocents.

[glow=pink,2,300]lovers[/glow]- loki and bcx-  win with innocents. had a solo win ability if they both live to the last day(they win too). 50% chance of dying if the other dies. have mason ability to speak outside thread.

[glow=red,2,300]assassin[/glow]- dae- he had a day/night kill option for even numbered day/nights. innocently aligned.

[glow=blue,2,300]masons[/glow]- vemy and far- they had the normal mason ability to speak behind the scenes.

Posted

[glow=darkred,2,300]turncoat[/glow]- kivam- he was forced to turn night one

[glow=pink,2,300]symp[/glow]- verbal- normal symp wins with evils, while on innocent team

[glow=purple,2,300]gambler-[/glow]dpr- he got a one shot role block. it's a gamble, therefore he's a gambler

[glow=red,2,300]evil team[/glow]- jelly, sira, dpr, kivy, verbal

So that's why Loki got all heated up when Verb wanted to lynch Bcx/Blig.

That's so cute ^^ And hilarious

leelou, nae, thorum, and soyo were all roleless.

And they're the minority  :D

actions were:

[glow=blue,2,300]night one[/glow]

[glow=purple,2,300]healer[/glow]- herself

[glow=black,2,300]theif[/glow]- kivam

[glow=green,2,300]finder[/glow]- kivam

[glow=red,2,300]evils[/glow]-kivam turned- kill far

[glow=blue,2,300]night two[/glow]

[glow=purple,2,300]healer[/glow]- the dude

[glow=black,2,300]theif[/glow]- dpr

[glow=green,2,300]finder[/glow]- jelly

[glow=red,2,300]evils[/glow]- the dude

[glow=darkred,2,300]assassin[/glow]- the dude

[glow=blue,2,300]night three[/glow]

[glow=purple,2,300]healer[/glow]- the dude

[glow=black,2,300]theif[/glow]- bcx

[glow=green,2,300]finder[/glow]- jelly

[glow=red,2,300]evils[/glow]- nae

[glow=blue,2,300]day four[/glow] [glow=darkred,2,300]assassin [/glow] killed sira

[glow=blue,2,300]night four[/glow]

[glow=purple,2,300]healer[/glow]- soyo

[glow=black,2,300]theif[/glow]- doesn't submit on time, loses action

[glow=green,2,300]finder[/glow]- dpr

[glow=red,2,300]evils[/glow]- soyo

[glow=blue,2,300]night five[/glow]

[glow=purple,2,300]healer[/glow]- the dude

[glow=green,2,300]finder[/glow]- dae

[glow=red,2,300]evils[/glow]- the dude

[glow=blue,2,300]day 6[/glow] [glow=darkred,2,300]assassin [/glow] takes out jelly

i am calling the best line of the game, that i remember:

she has really pulled off a day 2 false finder reveal that could never support itself.

*cough**cough**poke**poke*

and lastly:

the teams were:

4 roleless

4 evil

4 masons divided into two teams

healer, finder- good innocents

assassin, theif, eavesdropper- depends on how they play to good or bad innocents

symp- bad innocent

i wouldn't call that a minority for the roleless.

Yeah, well.. blah!  Dpr said he killed me because i would have called his bluff on that outrageous role reveal he tried. :P

We had a trio of legends on the evil team and STILL managed to take them out... in BIG BIG BIG part due to Dae and Luth!! I give you two props!  Dude... I dont know how you managed to stay alive as long as you did but great game bud!

Well done, Jelly.  We are all watching you now and your little miss sweet and innocent trick wont work anymore babe. *hugs*

First, I've gone and edited both of Alys's last two scenes, for a better read.

Second, the Sira/Wes/Kivam trio was made up by random.org, and by the time Alys told me about it, she'd already sent PM's out to everyone. We then made FDM and Wes a mason team 1. Because Vem always suspects FDM, so we wanted to mix it up a bit on Vem, throw him off balance, and 2. to balance the game out a bit.

Evils: You made my inbox cry on day 1 and 2, but I loved it. Why'd you stop?

Oh and, I'd have you all know that for the vast majority of the game, I was nearly as clueless as the rest of you were, being as I could never remember who had what role, and was too lazy to look it up. Hence my doing the scenes and Alys doing nearly everything else.

ok! would like to finally say my "we're all dead" line meant "we the masons are all dead"

also would like to point out that i fingered DPR day 1, kivam and siryan day 2^^

I also mentioned jelly, DPR, and kivam in my day 1 post that basically said that dpr should be evil but any of the surrounding players could also be evil.

so yes, i rule^^

and screw you all for lynching me!

::) You say that about me every game. I have no idea why.....

AWESOME game! This one was an absolute blast -

Luthine, the night you blocked our kill on Boyo threw me for a loop - brilliant

Dae, you stayed completely under my radar with the assassin role. And I have to know - what tipped you off to Sirayn? That was the game closer. I figured Jelly and I could get a couple more days out of it and move Sirayn into position to last until the end. But when she died, and we were at 9 innocents to 2 evils, both of us found as mafia, we were done. Nice shootin'

dude, what can I say? That we both lost a little hair? That your post about me always being in your way made me laugh and yell "right back at you!"? You made me dig deep to come up with stuff, and every time I thought I was going to get away with something you would flip it around again.  This is absolutley why I love these games. You rock.

Ditto, D, ditto.  ;D  Talk about a run for my money.  Seriously, I've been out of the loop for a good little while, and so maybe it's being rusty that contributes to this, but damn, guys, you mafia were slick out there.  I genuinely don't understand how I lived through, except through luck and the charity of other innocents.  The further the game went along, the more desperate I got to try to live, then at least to help along with the innocent win.  When I revealed DPR's role, I was completely resigned to going down just to be able to prove myself.  I know it looked like a dirty trick that day, D, waiting till you left, but I was actually just waiting for you to vote, and there was some unfortunate timing there.  I'll admit that I wasn't that opposed to being a little underhanded at the time, but I still felt a little guilty for how that one came down.  A little, mind.

And being the grownups that we are, I knew that I could say most anything within reason and not make any real beef except for what was in the game.  It's nice to let loose a bit once in a while when you know it won't seriously ruffle any feathers.

And that's before I saw the action summary; damn, night 2 was a bad night for ol' duder, huh?  :P  Luthine, seriously, you are uncanny.  Uncanny.  I think my biggest contribution was taking the heat for the game (granted, most of that heat was my own fault  :P), and getting lucky on night views, but you really were carrying this game most of the way...  awesome.  Seriously.

Dae, I actually thought you were mafia for a good little while, though I'll admit that it was a reactive conclusion, since you were one of my detractors early on (then again, most of you were, probably with good reason).  As it turns out, you made one of the larger contributions to the innocent win.

Jelly, Jelly, Jelly...  brilliantly played, just brilliant.  I was trying so hard to break that cool composure, and nothing worked.  Every time I'd see one of those minimalist, one-sentence posts of yours, I'd just scream in my head "dammit I know you're mafia stop lying!"  :P  That performance deserves a point.

Kivam...  man...  you almost had me going for a bit.  I understand the semantics you were playing with now...  that's so...  lawyer-y.  ;D  "If I could just get this knife out of my back..."  Bwa ha ha ha ha ha ...  oh man...  Oscar, man, Oscar.

I had a hell of a good time, even with the craziness going on.  Awesome game.

Okay, I'll hop back on in a bit, but I should probably get some work done here...

Pure and simple Mafia genius my dear Pirate...

actually, i got tipped off by the fact she appeared to be lying low. From all i've heard i thought, aha, somethings up. As it turns out it was a legit LOA originally but :P. I stand by my original opinion

And if i hadn't been chicken, i'd have taken you out and probably not got Sirayn at all... gotta love being a coward at heart  ;)

I don't think we should underplay Luthine's ability here - outguessing the Mafia once is lucky, twice is exceptional, three times in 5 days is almost unbelievable.

Jelly, i don't know why ive got this theory that your allways blinking innocent.. i feel bad enough voting for you, let alone killing you! Can you be a bit more offensive so i don't feel as bad please?  ;D

TheDude - nicely played ill give you that. Late claim really really threw me however, and possibly wasn't the best idea in the world. Then the whole ommission that Loki dug up... you got very very lucky. Sure you'll learn from it however

DPR - You played me alongside you so damn well. All credit to you, between you and Jelly you put a strong case forward. And im soo going to learn about embedding 'cause that had me convinced for a long time

Wow guys what can I say!

Jelly I knew youu where evil but  i allway think you are LOL I was giveing you a game off!

I had suspitions about WES and thats why i stole his vote but then I totally fell for it and he was pretty much innocent in my eyes!

Dae Iknew you where playing differently and something was up.

Dude well done!! is all I can say!

I need to listen to my gut feelings! but I relly still dont have a clue I think i need a break from maffia and follow more games!!

oh, and a couple things worth explaining.

1st, that imfamous "lie."  honest injun, i mispoke; i don't remember what exactly i was thinking/dong at the time, but i suspect i was posting while doing some work-related stuff, and it just came out flat wrong.

2nd, and this is the one that warrants real explanation, my late reveal.  when jelly claimed, i thought to myself:  the mafia are trying to take out the finder early.  they want me to counter-claim.  obviously i didn't know their exact plan, but if they wanted me to reveal, i figured i had probably better not.  it was risky, and unpopular to say the least, but it was a tactically sound decision nevertheless.

Posted

there's that to consider; i have an inflated reputation as it is, and i tend to draw a lot of heat no matter what.

i expect that if i had revealed right away, people would have lynched me over jelly right then and there, especially with kivam, DPR and Sirayn backing her up.  i didn't know about the team mates at the time, but i knew that if the mafia was trying to get me to reveal, i was better to not do so.

for the record, and this is just a little factoid in passing, i've actually only been mafia, like, 3 times, ever.  which is amusing considering how often i get pegged as one.  :D
