Alys is wrong. Its actually Barmys, not Alysacral. Dae was correct on that one. Blig, your balefiring stands.

Now, without further ado...

There was a fist fight. One that Jelly tried to break up. But after she was given a bloody nose by Vemynal everyone decided that Wes was the clear winner of the fight. And that only an abolitionist would ever harm sweet little Jelly.

Mr Jackson read the verdict of the Jury, gave Vemynal a last cigar, put the noose around his neck, and branded the horses butt.

Luthine notices as Vemynal thrashes that there is something tight within his fist. As he dies he drops whatever it was that he was holding, and she scoops down to pick it up. Its a picture of FDM. Looking up slowly Luthine nodded at Andrew Jackson. "Bury him beside his wife," she said, "he was as innocent as she was. He never even had time to say his last goodbye's. Let them rest together in peace."

A very sober group heads back into the town. There was work to do, and slaves to whip. And abolitionists to kill.

Please note, it is still night. Day begins after I unlock the thread, which comes after Alys locks it and sends me the results.

that's a possibility, jelly, but i'm gonna work for now with the assumption that i'm a regular finder, and leave the rest to others.

Oh, and I'd just like to point out the ubiquitous trend of wordiness in the guilty...  Just sayin', Kiv.  ;)

Heh.  I'm always wordy  ;D

And, uh *points to looong quote below*:

Hi Kiv, how ya doin'?  8)

I can't say I'm certain you've turned, but I do know you've got the potential, which is important to know anyway, and it's taking a chance to let you live.

Now, I'll admit to projecting my motivations on you regarding whether to switch or not; all apologies if I'm wrong.  But it's a heck of a gamble to let you hang around, wouldn't you say?  Obviously there's no point in going in depth on whether or not you're telling the truth about your PM; I know you're not.  ;)

My feeling that you're not going to stick with the good guys is based on the same thing I base most game decisions on; your behavior gives me a weird feeling, and I'm going with it.

Letting Jelly run with her claim was not a popular decision, I'm seeing, but it's what I went with.  I think that it's going to give us some nice clues on future lynches.

My comment for 2 innocents was about Day 2 specifically, but of course, that's running on an assumption that DPR is innocent too.  That's just what it is:  an assumption, and one that could be wrong.

Now maybe I'm wrong and you're not going to turn, but I don't think it's safe to assume that.

I'm revealing now because that was my plan from the start.  Jelly's "viewing" has produce an innocent lynch.  I think that's worth pointing out, wonky role or no.

And actually, the Cromwell Approval was going to come out tomorrow, after another viewing.  8)  I didn't want to view you 2 days in a row when I could be checking others out instead.

Heh heh, I'm not try and go toe to toe with you Kivam; I doubt I stand much chance in that contest.  I can't say I have any new info to offer aside from what I've given; you guys'll have to decide who to believe here, I'm afraid.

BTW, this is just a reminder for all of you, my scenes are written how I chose to, with no bearing on the game itself. I do not leave hints and clues in my story, and people are generally chosen at random. I do try to follow how the game plays out in a general sense, twisting the story to my own use. Some people will be in my story's more than others, no real reason for that, except that I chose to put them in at random.

BTW, Alys, since the Dude is calling me a liar, could you please confirm that my role PM did not tell me that I had the ability to choose to switch teams?

m'kay.  couple things...

kiv, a long question often requires a long answer.  that's all.  i noticed the irony there too though.

and i'll apologize for my showboating while i'm at it.  if i'm getting big for my britches, i'm sorry.  can we still be friends?  8)

There is a reason we do not allow PM's from the Mods to be quoted. Namely, that makes direct interference in the game from the Mod, which is a bad thing. Confirming or Denying a PM we may or may not have sent to you would achieve exactly what we are trying to avoid.

Heh, I was just thinking that.  With all the different roles, it is quite possible that neither of you is the "real" finder.  Dae made a point about an hour or two ago (which was about 3 million posts, lol) that his gut was the Jelly is innocent, and a paranoid finder.  His quote is below:

Personally speaking, im inclined towards Paranoid Finder rather than Mafia but i can't say that i concretely know that... Its just gut feeling

Honestly, I'm inclined to agree with Dae, and this is mostly due to Jelly's attitude in her posts.  She just seems too confused to be mafia to me.  Granted, that is just conjecture on my part, but she genuinely seems innocent.  I would also suggest that she is probably an insane finder.  I believe Sirayn also mentioned that - I'm too lazy to look back.  :-\

So, I'm going to take what the dude says with a grain of salt.  It will help in the info department, but I'm not sure I can totally rely on it.....yet.

*joins the dude for a smoke*

Got a light?  :)

aaawww, kivvy, why you gotta be like that?  :P

listen, if i do have some weirdass role, then i will recant all statements and apologize.  i'm just going on what i've got for info, but if that info's bad, i'll own up.  deal?

Meh :P  The elaborate finger-pointing is only going to hurt us. We have to start clearing this up or we're just going to make it more confusing for ourselves. What if we look at it this way:

*Both Kivam and Dude are valuable/dangerous players. We have to hold out the possibility that both could be evil and working a plan, or both innocent and confused by new roles, etc.

*Both of their arguments have definintely passed the "easy to understand" point, and even players who are keeping up with it as soon as it is posted are confused. Players who have not checked in since the boards went down will be overwhelmed. But, we still need everybody caught up and agreeing on what we think is happening.

*This is exactly the type of situation that a mafia team hopes for: Innocents that have become confused and are statistically likely to tear each other down.

*We need to get all of the players up to speed and thinking about this. The innocents strength lies in superior numbers and our ability to filter through the smoke and mirrors. We do not need to add more confusion to the mix! That will only lead to mistakes, and when we lose, we can kick ourselves. Then we'll look back at this point and realize "that's when I became a prisoner."

Let's get everyone in here, and reason through this before it's dawn and one less of us is around to do so.

As far as gut feelings go, I still think that Jelly probably just has a weird finder role.

I'm not sure what to think about Kivam. He's certainly devious enough to come up with the arguments that he's making, but he's also having to defend a weird claim agianst him. The old "I know it says I'm guilty, but I'm really not" defense is tough - even for him. But Dude did ot label him as mafia, so I have to think that I would try to argue it as well.I even understood his casing against me. I did not agree with it, but I saw where it was coming from. I need to know more about this one before I make a call.

Dude is also another player who could easily be working a plan, but he could also be as genuine as he claims to be. And he could also have a weird finder role. I need more info on this one as well.

More than anything else though, I cannot overlook the fact that early skirmishes and accusations are exactly what a low-laying mafia team always waits for. And here we are, in the middle of it.  And I really don't want to see a bunch of innocents in a massive dust-up shred each other to pieces while the evil team kicks back and watches it from the bleachers. Right now, it's the players we have not heard much from that worry me the most. that and the existence of roles that we don't understand yet. What does everybody else think?

You talk good sense, DPR.

I don't know that I can add anything more than I have, before I see morning (notice how optimistic I'm being here?).

Now, if my role is all screwy, than I don't know what help I'll be.  For now I'm working off the only assumption I can, which is that my results are genuine.  I only have 2 results (Kivam and my freebie innocent, still nameless for now).  Kivam was not revealed as a mafia, but as a turncoat, with a very brief summary that he can turn sides at a given point in the game.

That's the hard facts, no speculation.  I don't have much more I can say, but I'll answer any questions anyone has.

By the way - scary contract exam tomorrow morning. It's not that I hate you, it's just that I failed my contract mock exam and I need to not fail the real thing. :P
