thorum the problem is, making promises in a mafia game like that, it basically a cop out on real reasoned thought, with the current information. its like, look look this is how im going to vote, i have my voting pattern for the next seven days, playing like that is always going to look suspisious. all thought FDM does seem to be being very defensive. for now im going to [glow=red,2,300]unvote[/glow]

Thorum, you asked where Far posted a Loa...it was in her third post, still on the first day before you made your voting promise:

Alright folks, I'll be here all day today, [glow=yellow,2,300]but I'm officially telling you all that I will not be here tomorrow (Friday), or Saturday.[/glow] I'll be at my husband's Barbershop Competition, and won't have computer access (I think!). [glow=yellow,2,300]So I won't be checking the thread until Sunday evening[/glow].

Your voting promise was made here:

NOT VOTING (4): talya, far, verbal, soyo

And if I'm correct, day ends in about 12 hours. Those not content with the current standing, make your say. Maybe someone can see something. I have looked quickely, but not seen a lot of things useful :( Let's hope other see more...

If no one convinces me till then, my first vote tomorrow will randomly be assigned to one of the not-voters. So place your votes, please :D

And the last vote for blig was put in on Saturday night by May.

In any other case, I'ld have made a random vote. Now, I made a vote I promised I would make. I can understand lokis logic, but, as I already explained, the loa doesn't change a thing, especially since she was the only non-voter left.

Can we go back to serious condemnments now, please?

I see i've made a mistake in the voting totals:

Thorum (4) - Leelou, Nephi, Korin, Moggy

FDM (1) - Vemy

Vemy (1) - Dark

Nephi (1) - Thorum

Just noticed: I don't even have a vote from far :D

Why nephi? She is the player who voted for me that should have known my way of playing best, and may have sensed an easy victim (I don't think I've ever been able NOT to get lynched).

I'm gonna reread it all again slowly, and probably post a couple of player round-ups later today.

Just to let people know, i ended up getting rushed to A&E last night. Nothing too serious but im on some painkillers that effectively knock me out and ive been told to have a couple of days doing pretty much nothing - therefore that means i shouldnt really be on the Computer right now - and i probably wont be up for too much till Thursday or potentially later.

I've done the first four people.

TALYA

#119: gives a comment against vemy, who said that comparative newbies don’t get to get lynched yet.

#163: doesn’t think a person without a majority should get lynched by the end of the day.

#170: votes bligblog, because she doesn’t wanna see vemy go yet (before, votes were bligblog-8; Vemy-6).

LOKI

#72: randomly votes Dae.

#137: changes his vote to may, because barm “has had a pretty impecable first day voting thang in a few games”.

#168: without any further explanation, changes his vote to bligblog (the eight vote of 10).

#187: thinks there’s two mafia on vemy (out of DJ, Dae, Leelou and Soyo)

#207: votes dae, because he’s been pinging on the radar

#235: Makes a long post, in which he unvotes, but no explanation at all. He also declares voting patterns suspicious.

FDM

#112: anounces a loa till Sunday evening.

#220 & #233: defends her non-voting.

MAYLEIGH

#131: she’s gonna hold onto her vote till she’s not “not very sure of anything” anymore.

#144: votes vemy “to save herself” (before votes were Vemy-4; BligBlog-3; May-2).

#171: votes bligblog (final vote needed) because blig is strange, and vemy is good to have around when innocent.

For now, Talya looks honest, far hasn't done a lot (loa, I KNOW), and loki and may... It's not enough for a vote yet. Loki's always shifty, but this is a lot. May i don't know enough. She gave 3 reasons for voting: first she wanted to be sure, then she wanted to save herself, and finally she thinks bligblog being strange enough reason... Anyone who knows her better who can say if she's always like that?

Dae ... Get wel soon.

Next 4:

MOGGY

#60: follows a random bandwagon (of only the very first vote) on bligblog

#124: feels forgotten from vemy’s newbie-list

#231: doesn’t understand my way of voting

VEMY

#90: votes talya because he hates star trek

#115: doesn’t wanna kill a comparative newbie like bligblog day 1, so votes barm (though he already had a vote on talya -> why change a random vote?)

#125: says he’s innocent, but he won’t fight a lynch if we insist

#138: votes bligblog out of self defense

#151: wants everyone to vote for either bligblog or himself

#203: wants to kill bcx for the arsonist’s nightkill

#226: votes far, for giving a panicky response to my vote on her

DAE

#132: votes Vemy (because dj told vemy already used the be-nice-to-newbies trick before to save another mafia)

#162: tempted to change his vote to may

JELLY

#122: votes DJ (no reasoning)

#148: votes blibby

Moggy looks confused (though, if I remember correctly, she often is  ???). Dae has been consistent; jelly switched twice, but both times without any reason; vemy has given some strange reasonings (and not only for votes) - though those were often correct in the past...

Current Votes:

FDM (1) - Vemy

Vemy (1) - Dark

Thorum (4) - Leelou, Korin, Nephi, Moghedian

Nephi (1) - Thorum

With 16 alive, it takes 9 to lynch.  Day 2 will end at 11pm EST on Wednesday.

Not yet voting: Jelly, Verbal, Talya, May, Dae, Soyo, Barm, FDM, Loki

#90: votes talya because he hates star trek

i forgot about that till just now XD

#115: doesn’t wanna kill a comparative newbie like bligblog day 1, so votes barm (though he already had a vote on talya -> why change a random vote?)

my bad XD

#125: says he’s innocent, but he won’t fight a lynch if we insist

this could be an exact quote O.o

#138: votes bligblog out of self defense

Because i thought i was gonna die in both games...

#151: wants everyone to vote for either bligblog or himself

correction: I wanted people to decide to kill one of us to stop the pandering and keep the game rolling

#203: wants to kill bcx for the arsonist’s nightkill

you have this wrong...and I'm not willing to explain why yet...

#226: votes far, for giving a panicky response to my vote on her

well hell it did send off signals...

Thorum i do not know your style of playing very well. Yes we have played maybe two games together...does not mean i know your style well...it has been a while since i've played a game with you...so i was probeley a noob when i did.

those who have played with me recently know i do not change my vote. I do that because i do not want to be accused of shiftiness. the only time i do change is if it is clear to me i have made a mistake. I will review your recent posts and go from there...I am not promising anything.

Well, it is only my second game... :P

MOGGY

#60: follows a random bandwagon (of only the very first vote) on bligblog

Aren't most first day lynches random?

#124: feels forgotten from vemy’s newbie-list.

*Raises eyebrows* Still trying to work out the point of that.  :-\

#231: doesn’t understand my way of voting

No, I was thinking that mafia are far more likely to go for methods of voting that they think can't be really counted as suspicious. Your method stood out to me as a diversion from what your motives were.

ok I read your posts again...I'll [glow=red,2,300]Unvote[/glow] for now and see what else you have to say after your post summaries of the players.

Posted

well.. I think Thorum plays weirdly, but It wouldnt be the first time. Vem is Vem, and FDM is, like Vem said, defensive. So. At least I have 3 candidates. Jelly. First you vote me without reasoning, then unvoted, and when you saw people had noticed, you said I was suspitious aswell.. I dont really get that. Defending yourself without really being attacked is sligtly weird top me..

Jelly, EST is Eastern Standard Time, which is 5 hours behind you. (4 if you don't do Daylights savings time, where you go forward an hour in the spring, and back an hour in the fall)

Moggy, this isn't actually all that strange. Double Blind or Nuthouse were strange. So far this game has turned out to be rather tame, if informative.

To all those targeting Thorum, do keep in mind that Thorum has a bad habit of getting himself lynched as the most suspicious person. He seems to always appear quilty, and his logic has never changed. Of course, that doesn't make him look any less suspicious, however, it makes me wary of voting him right off for that.

Overall the following three people appear the most suspicious to me:

Vemy - so determined on getting himself lynched, it seems to me that he's trying too hard to appear innocent.

Thorum - Although his logic does make sense, it seems too much like evasion to me. And his Nephi vote just rings wrong to me too.

May - I got nothing at all, I just figure that she's my day 1 vote, and that I should stick to my guns on this one.

With [glow=red,2,300]Vemy[/glow] topping my little list there, I'm gonna have to vote for him.

Posted

The rest'll have to wait. I've gotta go on an unexpected loa till tomorrow evening.

I can accept nephi's explenation, and I've gotta think of myself a bit. So, I'm gonna [glow=red,2,300]unvote[/glow].

As a sidenote, the player summaries are not more than a list of the important things you've done. No accusations etc. (those come at the end)

extra: I've just looked at the votes, and, purely out of self-conservation, I'll vote [glow=red,2,300]vemy[/glow].

The votecount:

FDM (1) - Vemy

Vemy (3) - Dark, barm, Thorum

Thorum (3) - Leelou, Korin, Moghedian

Let's hope I'll still be alive tomorrow :D

ok so I think its about time I expressed my suspistions.

1- Vemy although I do appreachate him trying to save newbies at the start of the game, and yes if he is innocent is good to have around I cant but help think that hes trying to hard to seem innocent which is something I wouldent expect from a player like him.

2- Notting in particular except she just seems a bit shifty to me dont know why she just does.

others Im still trying to get a handel on some people seem more evil then others but notting major so ill leav it at that!

[glow=red,2,300]Announcement! [/glow]

BCx has had his Internet cut off. I have no idea when he will be back. The internet connect is not in his control so he has way of getting the connection back until the people who do decided to connect it again. I have sent him a txt to his phone asking what he would like to do about the game...i'll let you know when i have more info.

[glow=red,2,300]Back to you regularly scheduled game. [/glow]

*nods* yeah who is #2 May?

The reason why I don't have a vote on you Thorum, is because I don't necessarily think you are evil, I just think you had a terrible reason to place a vote on me. I felt the need to point it out (just as I felt the need to point out Vemy's weirdness), because whether or not you are being consistent, it was still a poor reason to keep a vote on anyone (just because I said I would!). I don't just throw votes around lightly, especially in this game.

And the second reason I'm not all gung ho on placing votes, is because this isn't like other games where if we come to the end of the night without enough votes we have a no kill...the person with the most votes simply gets the lynch. That means if only one person has one vote, they are gone. I'm not going to place a vote on ANYONE unless I'm fairly sure they are evil, which is really no change from how I usually go about it I guess...but there ya go! :P

Never fear though, I'm here and paying attention to what is going on. When people post something that pings me as odd, I'll be right there to point it out. :D

BCx should be back before night comes. so things are looking good right now.

[glow=red,2,300]End of update lol[/glow]

not to sure about Jelly, May. I think she may be innocent. Why do you feel she may evil?

Barm, thorum, fdm, *EVERYONE*

I *don't* want to die, I was just trying to move the game along

and because I don't want to die I vote [glow=red,2,300]thorum[/glow]

And as for what barm said about thorum, remember that applies to me too :P
