FDM...I'm sorry about this. But i did wait to see it there was anything else to go on. I would rather keep the Evils from getting two night kills then vote an other way on sheer principle. I have been know to do that...just to keep the vote from going to fast in one direction. you do have to admit though...we have to vote for some one. I've been voted out first before and it sucks. *shruggs* sorry hunny.

DRAMA AT THE OPERA!

 

This news just breaking; late this afternoon, a prominent member of the Opera was found lynched on stage. The community is shocked and saddened by this turn of events and the loss of this city's medical examiner! Critics of the mayor lay the blame on his shoulders, citing that he all but encouraged the citiznes to take matters into their own hands. When this reporter contacted the mayor's office for a response to this accusation, he said simply "Damn right! It's the only way we'll get them!" *gulp* That's all for now. sorry about not logging on yesterday. we ran into some wedding issues that needed to be resolved, then i had to take my mom to file an r/o on her husband (finally!!).

 

i am appalled by the way everyone is running around bandwagoning. all the mafia has to do to avoid killing another mafia is to compare where people placed themselves for the day vs. where they are during the night. a simple move of places would show every mafia who the others are... barring one going for a solo win by not changing until they must. i'd look into the most crowded places for the mafia for that solo reason.

bandwagons are crap, but several of us, had to do it, to avoid 2 nightkills. The Bandwagon might tell us a lot a bit later on aswell. This is why a lynch is better than a no lynch. It tells us things... So, yes, a shame to lose FDM, but Im pretty sure it will give us some info...

there is no finder or healer. it's just a standard occupation such as we all have.

 

the fact that there had to be a bandwagon is inevitable. but that's not what i meant. i meant that there was practically no resistance, no other option. it seemed like a "let's just kill far" day. and that's bad. everyone who continued to just pile on should have know.

Like I already explained, that had another reason:

- we had only 9 hours left (I thought, but dpr gave us a couple more)

- there was one person (far) with about 6 votes (don't pin me on the exact number), with no one else >1.

- 12 votes were needed for a lynch

- if we didn't lynch someone, mafia could choose this lynch/nightkill, ensuring its utter uselessness for us

- there was no chance at all anyone beside far would reach 12 votes in 9 hours.

 

Conclusion: we had to lynch far.

 

And get rid of those puppies.

 

Or I'm gonna getting really immature...

To add on to Daeterion's point, the newer players to Mafia are naturally going to be a little more ignorant of certain aspects of the game.  I can understand your annoyance at the result of the bandwagon, Alys, and you are correct - there wasn't enough resistance involved.  I think DSage did try to slow it down, but not many others helped, including me.  I didn't vote on the bandwagon, but maybe I should have spoken up.

 

Either way, no use crying over spilled milk.  I think that's the first time I've ever used that saying.  Yay me!  :D

At dawn, police responded to an anonymous emergency call originating from the bowling alley.  It seems that "The Blade" has struck again, and this time, the victim is one of the press.

 

JELLY, THE REPORTER. IS DEAD.

 

Although some say she was just paparazzi, and others claim that she had a twisted sense of humor, we still mourn her.  How much longer will our city cringe in fear of these animals? We have no way of knowing. All that we can say for sure is that none of us is safe.

 

Day 2 has begun. With 20 players, it takes 11 to lynch. Be strong.

Ok so moggy was day 1 when she voted the second vote on FDM and as I explained this is what normally I do myself when I'm mafia so thats what i was looking for, same thing with talya.

 

It should also be noted that nae had a chance to even out the votes between barm and fdm for a *short* bit before the votes all piled on claiming that she would vote fdm because the bandwagon was leaning heavily in that direction (not an exact quote, so sue me for being lazy :P) which it wasn't.

 

So in the mean time my top three are:

also, we have no finders which means people being inactive are *VERY* dangerous to the innocent team, if we don't know where you stand you are a threat!

 

So to all innocent players: participate! plz! it will help us win! If you all participate the evils can't hide among the inactives and then we have data we can actually get the evils on!

 

also side information- i've thought of this before but wouldn't an good use of being the finder be to view the inactive players? That way you have information of where the inactive players stand while you can actually root out the active evils. Just some side thought...

Moggy...that was probably the worst question you could ask in a mafia game, rhetorical or not.  It basically says nothing.  Nothing at all.

 

However, I'm always wary when Vemy makes one of his long casing-type posts.

be wary however you want, but do remember that we should find out the 3 people we think are best to lynch and get at least a couple of votes on those three soon so that way we can take our time and decide and not end in a rush like last time.

HOWEVER,

I note that on the day when we were putting in our votes for who should be lynched, even though he had so much time to vote, DSage never did. Could it be because he knew that he had the NK and therefore could kill anyone he wanted to without putting himself in danger?
