If I had been playing, Moggy would have been the person I would have tried to lynch, because it was very suspicious. The randomness, the voting without much reasoning. Unvoting, changing your mind often...was very indicative of an SK or symp. And since we knew there wasn't a symp like role, you were either evil or just playing your own game. ;)

I KNEW Alys was evil when she posted that she was going to hang out in the opera after me. We had that one day to know where everyone was, and I knew that at least one person that was evil was going to want to target me, or at least give me something to be busy with. Nobody listens to me though.  :-X

Anywho, good job all...despite the fact I was first dead.  8)

It was a wonderful day in Fiddalia, a wonderful day indeed. For on this day you see Benny the Leech in town, conversing with the newest mafia recruit, Moghedien.

I thought that this was very well played and probably would have worked if everyone hadn't already been set on voting for you.  ;) I'm sure that I would have been next lynched... :P

'Twas a good game... ;D

Wow. For the first time ever, I did not assign random roles. I chose the mafia from people that have played evil well in the past, but that also would ping as many radars as possible. Barm and Alys have a game coming up where they are co-madding, so I hoped to create some tension there. A few games back, I was on an evil team with Loki and was delighted to find out how truly evil he is. And Dsage just came off of a brilliantly played game and was primed for an evil role.

Despite my intentions, the mafia never picked up any momentum.  :-\. Dsage got off to a rocky start, but played well enough to regain his balance. However, when he was called out, it was over. And, to make matters worse, he has now disappeared! He missed the night 5 kill, for those that wondered if they had been targetted or not (Verbal! ;D)

On that note, Barms missed the night 6 kill, so the innocents owe more to the mafia than they knew.

As for solid playing, Loki and Alys stole the show for the mafia. Alys pulled off a few interesting techniques all at one time, and newer players can re-read back to pick up where she did this. In a nutshell, she pulled off the trifecta of 1) Feel sorry for me/I'm just trying to help/ but I could be wrong... along with.... 2) You know my reputation and you really don't want to lose an analyst of my prowess, now do you? ....topped off with....3) I'm not mafia, but even if I am, and the possibility is always there, 'cause I could be, but I'm not, of course. Anyway, just go along with me. K?...... 8).  Loki made the best use of Benny, by far. He also does a wonderful job of presenting his classic oblique playing style while planning a path of destruction. Love it.

Players who also showed excellent instincts included Thorum, Daeterion, Talya, May, and Lything had her moments. Vemy's radar switched on and off, but then it was a different setup and too many players were inactive, which will skew a game every time.

So, put another win in the books for the innocents! Excellent job players!

DPR, can't I squeeze out a bonus point from you? I did preech about killing 3 of the 4 mafia all along the game^^

and well admittedly I would have let loki run loose (and not know he was evil) I do remember saying during the "Loki or Alys lynch" that "I can't decide they both seem evil"

A bonus point would have been easier to award except for the one post where you went on about being so wrong.  It balanced the scales away from you being right so much! It would almost be ike when Dsage gave up, but then had second thoughts and came back with a cover.

I will give you this: There was so much inactivity in this game that it was impossible to get a read on a lot of the players. Your instincts are always sharp, and if everyone would have been playing and the mafia had decided to band together to win as a team, your input would have been vital.

And that's why it is good to play in many games! (Although I will admit that I am totally taking a small mafia break after these last three .... whoa.)

Also, we need to figure out who is going to take over the scoreboard! It ha not been updated since NOVEMBER!!!

You know for awhile now I've considered wirting something up for the mafia games.

As we know mafia players like to lay low when playing games, wouldn't it be helpful if the finder was to view inactive players? that way the finder will cover any players that those of us who are being active can't get a read on while those mafia who are active we will have evidence to try and catch. I donno it's just probably what I would do when finder.

Players who also showed excellent instincts included Thorum, Daeterion, Talya, May, and Lything had her moments.

I guess, but it is admittedly far-stretched, that "Lything" is me ^^

In which case thank you very much although I can't recall any of those  :P

As we know mafia players like to lay low when playing games, wouldn't it be helpful if the finder was to view inactive players?

It's a good strategy but it would have been wasted in this game, way too many inactive/not here often players considering the number of viewings possible. Depends on the ratio...

Wow, I was really not looking at the keyboard or the screen! L*U*T*H*I*N*E. There. I'll have to have a word with my boss about disturbing me when I am posting.....and your instincts are good ;)

You know, I remember that now. I'll have to go back and see if it was somebody that had requested police protection that night (a lot did). Oooops.

Guys hat was a great game go innocents! even if I was killed early on  :'( wes your games are allways great!

When  it comes to playing i tend to lay low weather maffia or innocent so does that mean im gunna be picked on?

Also I still tend to get lost in these games espically whith the BIG  players as i like to call them DPR, Vemy, Ayls, Loki, Dsage ect when you all relly get into it  ;D but im learning oh and i did kick ass in the wearwolves newbie game tho!

Any way great game ppl!

Interesting.....Barm was going to kill Loki, and if he was already dead, he would have killed Verbal. But, the trick is, the mafia had to choose their night-hangout before they couyld choose the player they wanted to kill, so even if Loki had been alive, Barm had no way of knowing where he was. Loki was dead though, So Barms would have had to choose The Ritzy Club if he wantd to kill Verbal, and he did not do that, so no night kill for him.

It's one of the drawbacks to time limits. IMO, the best possible situation is when everybody wants to play, learns the rules, and keeps up with the game every day (RL days). But that's just me.

May, you were a random kill to throw any suspicion off of Alys. No logic. Just killing.

Well damn, guess I should have made lists of where everyone was then.

I did kill Krug, totally a personal thing. I just wanted him to die, regardless.

And why Verbal? I haven't a clue, my kills largely didn't involve logic.
