I do agree with DPR on one thing:  Thorum wanting to go with a NO LYNCH is very scummish.

 

Look at it logically:

 

Lynching is our only chance to get rid of the mafia.  He may claim its to "avoid the Jester" but think about this.  There is one Jester, and with this many people there are more than one mafia member.  Our odds of hitting a mafia member are much higher than our odds of hitting the Jester then so why shouldn't we take the chance to hit the Mafia?  It's a chance, but then, this is a Mafia game.

Problem is days are VERY short

 

As to some clarification (it seems to be necessary):

This may look strange, but it's true: we start with 23 people. Let's say 4 mafia (I'm guessing, could be more or less as well), meaning that, in best case scenario 15 people have to die before we win: 7 by us, 8 by mafia (or the other way around): this means there's a 15/19 (almost 79%) chance the game is decided by a jester-kill (asuming jester = innocent, like I think I read in the rules). If mafia has to do all the killing, that gives us an 80% chance of victory, don't it?

 

Btw, DPR, you neglect what I say about your posts, and just quote this sentence with the word mafia, and a vote in the next post?? why?

 

Oh, btw: dpr, you're not the only one with a post restriction, so am I: I'm only allowed to post once every 2 pages. Thus, if you want a reply from me, you'll have to wait so long.

That seems like a pretty convenient restriction.  Loreina stays high on my suspect list, as I'm sure she is on everyone elses.  In fact, we may want to consider lynching her if we can't agree on another suspect for some other day.

 

Anyway, I'm not particularly convinced [glow=red,2,300]unvote, vote:Barm[/glow] makes a lot of sense, but we can't survive unless we start lynching people and getting information, and if Barm is as innocent as I expect this may help generate quite a bit of that.

Absolutely not. FDM would have given him a post restriction that he would have to be active to use. In fact, I'm sketchy about even Thorum's restriction, since it seems to promote inactivity, and I'm not sure that FDM would ever do that. In fact, to contradict that idea, I'll point out my post restriction: Minimum 3 in a day, max 10, this forces me to be active, and to actually have content in my posts. Ideal, no?

 

As for the rest of you, I can't defend against gut feelings. Give me some substance.

 

Oh and, Thorum, you make a good point, days ARE too short. And since the Pandy prod hasn't worked, I'm going after Wes, whom I strongly believe is evil for reasons of my own, to be expanded upon another day.
