Gah, me head is spinning reading all this trying to figure it out. I don't see Barm as being mafia but then maybe my view is jaded in that respect. So I am going to refrain from voting at this point cause I am completely and utterly confused  on who to vote for with there being a Jester out there.

As the day wears on, so many people wanted to see DPR hang from the rafters. Nobody noticed a small cluster of people slowly easing the windows open behind the large velvet drapes.

 

Eventually, fingers began to point at Barmacral. Devoid of emotion, Barm tried his best to point out the more prudent candidates, but nobody would have it. Even though DPR seemed the most likely candidate, it was Barm that they all decided must go.

 

With the rope ready, they advanced on Barm. But he said to them, "I wish to be burned. If I'm to die, at least let me choose the way." After some debate, they decided he would fit in the fireplace well enough. As you watched them tie him up, you swear you see him wink at someone behind you, before he begins the frantic screams of someone being burned alive.

 

The smell becomes too strong for you to bear as close as you are. As you move toward the window, you see it open. Glancing around quickly, you notice that people are missing. Calling out to the King, you do a head count, and it's true. What you can assume were the assassins, are gone. Dreadpirateroberts, Naeann, Krugster, Gerrendus, and DSage are missing from the room.

 

Barmacral, the Jester is dead. The Assassins have escaped. The innocents lose.

Post Restriction: Resident Flirt: in each of your posts, you have to flirt with the person that posted right before you. It doesn't have to be anything outlandish. A giggle or wink will suffice. You are welcome to really lay it on thick though, the funnier the better! 

 

Loki: You are a roleless innocent. Your objective is to hunt down the assassins and identify the Jester. You may not speak with anyone outside of the game thread about the game.

 

Post Restriction: Quote guy. In each of your posts, you have to quote a portion of the prior person’s post, and make some comment about it. It can be any kind of comment you like, so long as you quote them.

 

Loreina: You are a roleless innocent. Your objective is to hunt down the assassins and identify the Jester. You may not speak with anyone outside of the game thread about the game.

 

Post Restriction: Funny gal: at the end of each post, you must post a joke of some sort. It can be lame as ever, or hilariously funny. Since some people aren’t funny (like me), feel free to google jokes. Anyway, after you tell the joke, you must laugh uproariously at how funny you are!

 

Kivam: You are the cutpurse. Three times during the game, you may target someone(s) and change their post restriction (if they have one) to one of your choosing.  If they have no active post restriction, they will be obligated to start using the one you make up for them.  To use this ability, you will pm me with a name during the night phase. You are an innocent, your objective is to hunt down the assassins and identify the Jester. You may not speak with anyone outside of the game thread about the game.

 

Post Restriction: Multi-lingual guy. You must speak 1-3 sentences of each post in a foreign language. Have fun with it. It can be about something integral to the game, or the most useless thing imaginable. It will drive people crazy you are saying something they don’t understand, they will spend so much time finding a way to translate.

 

Dark Justice: You are the Apothecary. This is the classic Healer role. Once per night, you may pm me a name and they will be protected from a nightkill. You are innocent, your objective is to eliminate the assassins and identify the Jester. You may not talk about the game outside of the Game thread.

 

Post Restriction: You have no required post restriction.

Mod thoughts:

I was really surprised that nobody hit the brakes when the bandwagon on Barm started. Everyone seemed out to get DPR, and then it was like a 180. I thought someone would think, "Wait! This is too easy! He's totally Jester material!" But then again, perhaps it's easier for me because I knew who he was.

 

I give mad props to Kivam and his sinister post restrictions. They were made of win.
